If you don't cry when you watch Braveheart you don't have a heart. This song is so deeply touching and beautiful. When I listen to this I understand why I always were so fascinated by the celts when I were a kid/ teenager. They have honor and they love their freedom. And they never gave up despite all the sorrow and pain they had to deal with. First the Romans and later England. Hundreds of years of torture, murder and death. And yet they never surrendered. These people truly are one of the bravest and most honorable who ever walked on God's green earth. May He bless all the irish,Scottish and Welsh people. God between you and all harm.

I really love celtic instrumental music, the style. They are mystyc, make me dream and I go beyond the stars when I listen them. Profound and powerful.

Suzanne here, i have listened to this many times in the last few days, i have had man years in my life attended orchestras and i think this is about the most beautiful piece of music i ever heard composed, just amazing
Ill never forget on 9/11 i played this after the towers fell and i cried like a child. When i pulled myself together i joined the army to help our country. Ill never forget this song for that moment.
OMG I don't believe I found someone else who asscociates these bagpipes with 9/11. I saw Braveheart for the first time on 9/10/01 on a VHS tape and I couldn't get the soundtrack out of my head the whole day and night. The next day when the towers fell I was still thinking about it. Especially the Gift of Thistle theme. It will always remind me of September 11th. So sad and melancholic.
Sometimes a man’s heart takes him beyond the limits of this world. When he finally finds someone worth fighting for he gives everything within his power and more to reach them. Only in that moment does he really feel alive, knowing he will never be complete until he is united with his beloved. How I long for thee, until that day I tarry long, broken, incomplete, finding strength in the God that made me to bare that cross. For love is strong as death…
Brave heart was a brilliant piece of filmography but very inaccurate The movie outlaw king is far more accurate in terms of historical facts but brilliant movies none the less

One time I was standing on a cliffside overlooking the ocean and the sunset. It was truly beautiful. I played this song and my inner feelings helped me take it in. It’s truly something that makes me appreciate the beautiful earth and works outside of our own imperfect life. To realize the beauty in the world that’s always been there while we deal with our own challenges. That same day I lost a friendship earlier due to a breakup. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through since I’ve done so much for her and she threw me away for her own issue. It’s good to realize what’s around us even if we don’t focus on it, the good things in life we don’t think about every day, but always remained here with us.

25 years later from first watching, hearing this film. At a time when my family fell apart. Left at family friends homes while my father was out, drinking away his sorrows. Today he’s battling with cancer, my wife has had enough of my depression, lost grandad recently. Trying to run dads business. This all takes me back to how I felt as a boy. Lost….. and feeling what’s the point. No point
It’s so easy to stumble upon the negative, but there is still so much positivity left to discover and to make this life worth living. Try to talk to someone, find others who are struggling through a group program, anything to help with your current emotions. Things get better, buddy. Hang in there.
Try to stay positive and reach out and talk to someone. I know it’s such an easy thing to say but honestly things will get better you just have to know how to build the foundations of a better outlook and life. Stay strong.
