Most of my videos are high-school focused, but now that I'm getting ready to apply to medical school I wanted to start getting some pre-med content out there to help my fellow undergrads. Stay tuned for more videos on college admissions and pre-med life--esp as I enter my gap year and update you all on how the medical schools admissions process goes! :)
And to the future College Class of 2028--CONGRATS! You are almost done with the college application process and I hope the next few months bring you tons of good news:)

This was an extremely helpful, informational, and engaging video Cecile! I've been struggling to find internship opportunities and I wasn't able to get summer internships for the summer after my freshman year or sophomore year(right now), but I'm preparing for this upcoming application season, so hopefully I will have an internship secured for next summer!

I am personally struggling finding any internships that offer summer time and I have tried handshake and called hospitals but they all require 1 year :(

I would start by getting volunteer roles so you can get enough experience to talk about for future paid roles and such! It doesn’t have to be formally labeled as an internship for you to count it as one either!

Thanks for that video, please keep up such content.
I wanted to ask how you think attending for highly competitive university like brown for premed. Do you think going to a schools with such rigor could hurt your chances of getting to med school as it's harder to keep up good grades and make time to involve in a lot of ecs? Or some how add extra pressure
Have u ever felt like going to a slightly less competitive school and getting the grades with less stress can make a better fit for premeds?
    Thanks again!

Hi! I actually think Brown is an “easier” premed school compared to other rigorous schools simply because of our grading system. We only have A,B,C and no +/- so I think it’s easier to get a good GPA and med schools are aware of this change specific to our school. However, speaking from my friends’ experiences at other ivies and competitive schools, I think it can help to go somewhere where you can focus on getting a good undergrad GPA. Otherwise, it’ll definitely eat up the time you’d spend pursuing ECs/research. If I weren’t at Brown, I think I’d actually prefer somewhere less competitive so I can make sure I get a high GPA since I don’t do well in very competitive spaces (& would struggle being graded against my classmates)
