    Hi Stu. New to your channel and love the content. I’ll take light bulb moments from wherever I can get them and your drill pushing the right shoulder away is one of them. It turns the shoulder, creates width and starts the shift to the lead side. Brilliant and tx for sharing. 👍

    Stu really great educational content. Imho also for the senior golfer very interesting. The last 4 years my game was/is a bit rusty due to aging 🙂 and lack of training . (Still single digits but doubled my hcp :-) ) Watched a lot of your content and it helps me to get eager again to pick up training and practicing. Thnx a lot....

    Stu, this really opened my eyes to width in the backswing. I was one of those golfers who thought that width was created by the lead arm. Now I know that I was completely wroing, that it's created by the trail arm. Thanks for correcting me with science. Continue to set us straight and on the right path. Loving these videos. Cheers.

      I dont think youve been alone with thinking the lead arm is the solution. Glad this helped and look forward to hearing your golf go from strength to strength! Best wishes Stu

    You have some great videos Stu. Maybe too many. I find myself jumping from one to another and sometimes I get overwhelmed with information, Maybe if that were arranged in some type of sequence where you have grip then set up and take away backswing with weight transfer etc you get my point then a section on faults power driver etc it would be easier to follow. I know that all that is covered but you kind of have to jump around to find it. Please take this as constructive suggestions as you are a great teacher and I am working on changing my grip now and working on the take away and you have mentioned about the shift being aligned with the left arm at address and I wish you could cover that in some more detail, and thanks for a great website.

      Hey Porky, I am definitely going make happen your request my friend. My problem is I’m doing all this on top of my coaching… the request is absolutely necessary, so when I get the time I will absolutely apply. Thank so much for the constructive critique and video request Sir. Much appreciated! Best wishes Stu 😊

    Thanks, you just explained my error of bumping hips to trail side locking up my hips which causes less rotation and bent left arm too close to my body. Also, great explanation of keeping arms and hands extended in front of body during setup and backswing.

    Hi Stuart, just been to the range and just let it happen which gave great strikes, I even had my hands low annd left, must look back at that videio. Getting rid of the garbage in my swing makes these moves easier to make.

    The importance of width for me is to create room for me in the downswing. Without width I get stuck in the downswing. That is why width is so important to me as I tuen into the downswing.

    Do you find this to be a good remedy for ppl looking to shallow? Definitely a correlation (for me) between a backswing that feels weirdly far away from me and more consistent dispersion. My right arm is too bent at the top normally and then I've totally steepened the club a billionth of a second into my downswing

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  3 місяці тому

      He Kieran, there is a strong correlation my friend. Check out my “Steep and Shallow”

    Hi Stu. When you say pull down. Do you mean more with the left arm cheers

  • @carlie444
    @carlie444 3 місяці тому +1

    Struggled with this. Push the handle down, left arm pushing straight, seems like a logical place to apply 'pressure away' force, against a resisting ground pressure from back foot.
    I cant sense any opposing force, needed to act against a folding right arm in backswing. Feels contrary to whats natural. Keep em coming though. Watch them all.

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  3 місяці тому

      Hey there - no reference of the left arm pushing, all about the right arm pushing. Apply the drill against the wall and you’ll feel the opposition with the left foot. Hope that helps. Best wishes Stu 😊

    • @carlie444
      @carlie444 3 місяці тому +1

      I know, thats what I meant. I can apply a similar principle to left arm quite naturally as its straight. I can push away.
      I cant apply to a folding right arm. Its awkward. My left keeps my right in check, as its pushing away, my right arm behaves anyway

    This move seems different than the move you were doing with the big ball. You put it on your back and against the wall and rotate around it.
    This seems like you're pushing forward and dipping instead of just rotating around the ball.
    Maybe it's the same move. It just looks a little different to me.
    Sorry, I'm just trying to understand. Im a little slow. 😂
    Thanks brother.

      No no, very happy to answer questions or concerns Punky. Very much the identical move buddy. No conflicts here, but great to air your questions. Take a look over the video with the ball, you’ll see it’s the same my friend. 😊

    • @DaGolfViking
      @DaGolfViking 3 місяці тому +1

      @GoodGolfCoaching One more question: Is there a "bump" and then rotate, or is it just totally rotating like around the ball?

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  3 місяці тому

      An “applied” bump will kill your downswing, I’m going to do a video on this Punky. 😊
