I've learned more in just a few minutes from this tutorial than what most half hour videos would teach. Also, no need to pause the video every few seconds to understand which commands you are using. You make 3D modeling look like a natural talent. Well done, sir.

Wow. I wish I'd remembered the weld modifier recently when making a bunch of parts for 3D printing. I went thru and cleaned up all the geometry by hand that I could have just blasted through. Thanks!
I can't tell if it's intentional, but I love the whole aesthetic of your videos. Like if you added in some VHS defects and recorded in 4:3 it would really finish off what I have in my head... Also, solid tutorial as always. No filler. No nonsense.
that is soooooo good and humble, like u speak about it so calm and settled step by step even tho this is top 0.00001% of all blender tutorials, sooooo good, thx a lot!
Oh, solidify on a boolean! Never occurred to me; awesome. It's interesting; I found you early on in my Blender learning, but only now that my basics are pretty solid can I really appreciate this channel.
Just in Time... I started to try model a monitor and I have struggle with boolean ... x.x. This is one thing in Blender that I couldn't understand properly. How to clean mess up with N-gons created by boolean... (Subsurf not like n-gons x.x). I hope that you'll teach us more about booleans cause i think that its the one of most important thing in modelling something x.x
So refreshing to find such a good tutorial. Soothing music and voiceover, excellent explanation of what's going on - have subscribed and looking forward to watching and learning more!
Me impresiona la calidad y lo bien explicado que son todos tus videos. De verdad muchas gracias por tus tutoriales mi amigo, estas ayudando a mucha gente de todo el mundo. Un grande abrazo y que te vaya genial.
I tried this and didn't watch closely just to see if I could do it on my own and I took so long just finding the menu items to click to do it and then I didn't shade smooth and auto smooth so I got banding in my cylinders. I couldn't figure out how to smooth that out. I tried to add a smoothing modifier and it didn't work. I thought there has to be a way to not add massive amounts of vertices just to get a smooth curve. I guess shade smooth is the answer so you can keep low poly count but get a smooth render. ? I guess. thx for the tut!
Hi! Thank you so much for this! I am using a Mac Book and the command + (-) shortcut to cut doesn’t seem to work. Do you know how could I fix this? Is there a manual command to cut instead of a shortcut?
@@AZAN3d You can use the ~ key to choose different views for example. Or just use the Gizmo to navigate. For other things that rely on the numpad, you can change the keyboard shortcuts. For BoolTool you can also just use its menu in the Option panel. Hope that helps!
im having issues on my bojects when I goto bevel them, they do not push back or anything, sometimes I can get them to work ugh so frustrating. but been teaching myself, and watching videos online. I am really, bound determined to learn all this. I wanna make things come to life, and the stuff my schizophrenia sees, ill be able to sculpt it out!
I’m trying to cut out the siding I made for a house.. and it’s the front of the house where the garage is, but it doesn’t cut out the siding correctly .. /\
I tried to Quad Remesh the first one after i applied all of the Modifiers, and it came out all Distorted and crappy. is there a way to Quad Remesh it? EDIT! Never mind! i actually solved my own problem... holy shit! im actually getting good at Blender!!!! I went into 3D Print Hub and made the mesh "Manifold" and it sold the problem entirely! then i just Quad Remeshed it and it looks BEAUITIFUL Now! im leaving this up for anyone else who might have my problem, or so you can tell anyone else if they have my problem (Lots of us 3D Printer fans out there, so its possible)
how do you get rid of the little artifacts that appears when you boole 2 objects? I have tried movin the position of the "cutter" to avoid that sector of the geometry , it looks better but not totally clean, help plesae! anyone? :,)
Just started with blender and wondered, if there is a way to link the intersected object with the B-operand? Right now I have to select both at once to move them around. I gues, there is some simple option to link the movements. But I just can't find it...
please when you talking kindly slow down, and don't rush.. some of us Africans watching, English is not our first language, anyway, your tutorials are great I've learned, subscribed, shared, and liked your video, thank you so much.

Small thing that makes a big difference - how are you getting these nice default colors on your objects? So much better than grey!
click the arrow on Viewport shading, on the color tab, click random
Awesome in-depth Boolean basic video. 👏
Your tutorials are supreme
Your guides and book has been incredibly helpful to me learning this new, mystical art of Blendermancy!
Thank you, I really appreciate it! 🙂

I love this smooth feeling.. really cool video. could I know the music of this video? 🌹
YES!! Excellent video, I learned more in this 6 minutes than ~20 other Blender videos I've watched. Love your aesthetic too, like others below.
great lesson thank you so much

love the 90s ambient music
If you like the music and look for the song name, it's Python Blue - Enterprise
Yes, I licensed some of his music for my videos. He's great!
Love the music!

That was my question too! :)

Hi, how can i set the solid viewport like yours? I like Ur models color and your Edge shiny. Nice tuts btw, i Will see more Ur videos from now
how did you add bool tool? I cant find it!
In Add-ons, or Extensions, depending on which Blender version you use.
I’m trying to cut out the siding I made for a house.. and it’s the front of the house where the garage is, but it doesn’t cut out the siding correctly .. /\
This is one modifier I wish Blender would make it easier to use instead of using another modifier to achieve what you are trying to get.
Thaaaaaanks
Yes!!!
Why nobody uses the bool tool addon? It's included in blender and make it a bit easier to make boolean operation (non destructive or not).
What about two non symmetrical objects like two pieces of sculpture ?
How can I add Auto Smooth to the quick favorites? I can only find the Shade Smooth
wonderful tutorial .. idk why but I was imagining what someone from the 60s or 70s would think if they saw this.
I'm from the seventies 😅(born 1979)...

my cyclinders leave lines on my other object how can i fix it?
why is it when i use CTRL - or + it only just zooms in even when I have the two objects selected?
Had the same hiccup.
Use the other - key at the top right of the numpad on your keyboard. Don't know how or why but it works lol.
@@johnn_.e thanks :)
I feel like this is something i will wanna come back to soon because i am clearly doing stuff in the wrong order and it's destroying my normals ;-;

I suppose you could parent the cutter to the original object, or parent them both to an Empty…

How do you make object look shiny ?
Замечательно!
Why is my prefrences not like this can someone please help i am using the latest version on blender
curious why i'm not able to 'cut' into my object when i hit 'ctrl' and '-'
how do you export the finished object without all the other cut objects showing up? i apply modifiers, but that's no good.
Export to where? You can usually check « selected objects » in export menus.
@@BlenderSecrets ah ya that's what it was. i accidentally exported the whole scene instead of clicking "selection only"
3:42 if bevel doesn't work just slide modifier above boolean
Great
Gosh cleaning that geometry is gonna be a nightmare 🤣
Luckily you also give the best tips on that too
Why would you?
Wow 💯
