    Etching the dichroic glass that's a new idea for me to try Thank you for sharing. I was a bit concerned about the superglue but having read up on it Super glue is not toxic when heated so that's being added to my list as well.

      Thank you. Regarding kilns, it will depend where you live, if in the UK I love hobbyfusers, if not try and stick to something square, I personally feel they are much more practical

      Show us what you do! I've tried to tidy up a couple of fused things, but I only have a microwave kiln. If I use my grinder to smooth edges and then fire the piece again, it leaves a grey smut on the glass that won't go. One UA-cam video showed a woman with a chatting way... She used clear nail varnish! But I would love to see the process you use. X

    Thanks Tabitha… do you use the Taurus saw to cut the edges straight before firepolishing? 🐢

    • @TabithasGlassEmporium
      @TabithasGlassEmporium  2 роки тому

      It's been a while since I've done these, but I think I used the tile saw first and then my grinders to coldwork the edges. You can use a Taurus saw to cut the edges too, but you should grind them after too.

    Hi tabitha great videos very helpful, ive only just started fusing glass with a microwave kiln, recently bought some milifoiri glass have tried it out by doing a line of them with dichroic each side, unfortunately when fired cracks have appeared on the line between the dichroic and moilifoiri, any advice would be gratefully received, thanks pete.

      In this case I'm talking about cutting the edges off some of the pendants to make them square, which requires them to be ground after so the cut marks from the tile saw are not visible. Or just grinding the edges down to make the pendants more square.
