My five for re-watchability are: Ninth Gate, Seven, (Carpenter's) The Thing, In the Mouth of Madness and Zodiac, with an honorable mention going to Prince of Darkness (which completes Carpenters Apocalypse trilogy here). Obviously there are a lot of other movies I watch many times, but these seem to be easiest for me to watch again.

Hey man great videos. I just found your channel and see you guys haven’t made a video in forever. Wtf lol. Really love the Chanel and hope you start making videos again.
One of my favorite films is John Boorman’s autobiographical “Hope & Glory”, about the London Blitz etc. It’s a COMEDY, because to lil’ Billy the Battle of Britain & the Blitz is a wildly entertaining spectacle that goes on day after day, night after night & makes adults act in new & entertaining ways. In hindsight it’s deeply psychological. Sequence: Billy’s sister bundles him out of an air-war film to shelter...from an air raid: “They’ve got the real thing outside!” Billy, dejected: “It’s not the same...”
Mallrats, The Naked Gun, Airplane!, Evil Alien Conquerors, A Christmas Story, Batman 1989, Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel, Arsenic and Old Lace
tunatallica I just about shit my pants the first time I saw that. It's still one of the first images that comes to my mind when someone mentions Apocalypse Now.
@@erfcakejake Even the actors were terrified by the tiger because they weren't expecting it to leap out so fast or to come so close. Their fear in the movie is totally real lol
100% although I've actually probably watched Death Proof more times now, love that movie. It's sad how absolutely shite Tarantino's movies have become recently.
+lolizorz Ironically, "American Psycho" is the movie I've seen most of any film in my life! I'm pretty sure I had the whole motherfucker memorized, at one point!
Fight club, pulp fiction, reservoir dogs, better off dead, the last dragon, the monster squad, the phantom of the paradise, grandmas boy, the wedding singer, rock n roll high school forever, sleepaway camp 3, the crow. There's probably more.
My List 1. Tommy Boy 2. Star Wars (Original Trilogy) 3. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly 4. My Cousin Vinny 5. Scarface 6. The Lord of the Rings (Trilogy) 7. The Godfather 8. Groundhog Day 9. Back to the Future 10. Ferris Bueller's Day off
Apocalypse Now... The greatest movie ever made! Curiously based on the Joseph Conrad novel "Heart of Darkness", which takes place in King Leopold of Belgium Congo River, the darkest, nastiest example of African Colonization by the Europeans. Even so, Coppola changed the original so much that I personally consider it to be a whole different script, one which almost ruined him, and almost killed both Director and main Actor. The Hotel scene of a drunken, high, Sheen, was not scripted but filmed as is... Sheen would shortly after suffer a massive heart attack almost taking the whole "Ship" down with him. Coppola was as far down in the "Red" as anyone could be, and yet out of all the chaos, added to by a Civil war in the region of the Philipines in which the movie was shot, comes this Masterpiece which, if I am being honest, I've seen more than a hundred times.
Great picks Paul!!! Especially Tommy Boy which brought tears to this 35 year old man's eyes reminding me so much of growing up in the 90s. I'd say though Rocky is definitely a very re-watchable film.
watched a scanner darkly on LSD this past winter. truly a life altering experience lmao. led me to a lot of sad/disturbing realizations about drug culture. i recommend experiencing that movie on a tab or two. the animation alone takes on a new, even darker form.
“My personal tragedies don’t come with a punchline.” Did you write that yourself? It’s brilliant. My two cents: 1. Saving Private Ryan 2. Reservoir Dogs 3. Dirty Harry 4. Star Wars 5. The Bad News Bears
For me it's edge of tomorrow, adams apples, let the right one in and (yeah, shame on me) the notebook. Strongly agree on your Falling Down-pick. Never gets old.
I'm going to be blasted for being too mainstream, but here's my list: Casino, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Fight Club, and Gladiator. Any one of those films comes on, and my previous plans go out the window for 2 hrs.
I watched National Lampoons Vacation so much as a kid i wore out the VHS tape and my mom had to buy another. I know all the dialogue and still watch it at least 6 times a year on DVD.
My personal Top 5 Rewatchable Films: 1) This Is Spinal Tap 2) Airplane! 3) Blazing Saddles 4) The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert 5) The Producers (1968 original)
I LOVE Philip K. Dick's The Scanner Darkly. Phil was a masterful Sci-Fi Author, AND also Gnostic/Mystic who received amazing and mind-blowing revelations through drugs and altered states of consciousness. I remember seeing Apocalypse Now with my pals as a kid... "The Horror, the horror", also like entering into a beautifully bizarre and scary dream. The other movies you mentioned are on my watch list! Not in any specific order. There are so many that are worth rewatching, its hard to choose. I could make a new list every week. 1. Terminator 2 2. Aliens 3. Predator 4. Office Space 5. The Big Lebowski
May be a cliché answer but Scott Pilgrim vs The World never gets old (nor does any other Edgar Wright film, for that matter). For more serious stuff, Memento, which is so tightly constructed I always find something new that makes perfect sense despite how that film is told.
I cant count how many times I sat there watching Falling Down & feeling the wtf ebbing away. It is cathartic. Truly. Thanks for the review. Id like to see another list like this one. Have a good one!
The Princess Bride, Young Frankenstein, Silence of the Lambs, Velvet Goldmine, The Black Stallion, Clue, Seven, Labyrinth, Legend, Dragonslayer, Wizards.... ya know, I have a ton of movies I could put on my list :D
I rewatch scanner darkly and apocalypse now quite often myself, i would probably switch out your documentary choice with searching for sugar man and the comedy angle i would take clerks (ignoring the ending). And thanks for reminding me to watch falling down again, i had forgotten how great duvall was in that.
Interesting that I've rewatched Magnolia from you're "Great Movies I'll Never Watch Again" list several times and will probably will continue rewatching it throughout my life, but I don't think I'll have the stomach to watch Falling Down again (though I might force myself to one day)
1.) Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (The original ) 2.) O'Brother Where Art Thou 3.) Heavy Metal 4.) Blade Runner 5.) Fellowship of the Ring The reason these make the list is because of their soundtracks are so good that they hold their own even if you are casually listening.

When you do a list like this you should put the list in the description, saves me having to wait for my shitty internet connection to buffer when when I go back to check the title after you point out a film I had never seen but find interesting based on your synopsis. Or, alternatively you could repeat the title at the end of the description if you think people will just scroll down to see the list and stop watching the video.
I would say, every great movie should be rewatched at least 10 times, every decent movie is worth rewatching. I've probably rewatched 99% of all movies I've seen more than once. My problem is that I can't find new movies I havn't watched. I'm scanning the world for non english speaking movies just to see something new. For 45 years I've seen 3-4 movies everyday. this is my true passion.
I loved your list, because it's your list, but for me, I've noticed over the last, almost, 39 years that comedy, horror and martial arts films have the most rewatchability. Amongst those genres, the list is nearly endless.
I find myself revisiting Stanley Kubrick’s The Killing a lot. It hasn’t aged particularly well, but it’s so cool and entertaining; providing the blueprint for the heist movie for almost 50 years. Its nonlinear approach has clearly had its influence on the likes of Tarantino and Nolan
Honestly I can watch Robocop anytime. Same with the other Verhoeven classics (Total Recall, Starship Troopers). Every time I watch those movies, I notice something I hadn’t noticed before. Also, I feel that he didn’t waste a single moment of screen time for any of those movies.
At the top of my rewatchability list are: 1 Clerks 2 Donnie Darko Even though they've been out 24 and 17 years, respectively, I still watch them at least once a year. Stoner comedies and disaffected teenagers never go out of style! Others on my list: 3 Fallen Angels (1995) The movie that introduced me to Wong Kar Wai's universe. 4 Kiesliwski's Three Colors: Blue, White, Red. Even though I feel White was the weakest of the trilogy, Blue and Red were incredible when I first saw them in the 90s, and still are twenty years later. 5 The Return Of The Living Dead: This movie is too much fun, and is an example of a perfect B-movie...comedy, hammy (but not over the top) acting, genuine scares, not to mention one hell of a soundtrack! This and #6 are always rewatched every year. 6 Prom Night 2: Hello Mary Lou: Another classic B movie horror, both this and #5 are classic 80s films.
Mysterious skin is really great to rewatch. It offers some cool psychological insights, so if that interests you then you will enjoy it a lot. There's a lot of commentary between nature vs nurture and the more you watch the more little actions and decisions you notice where you wonder what drove the character, their personality, or past?
Agreed that docs can be tough to make a rewatch list but idle I were to expand on some others from that genre, I would throw in “king of Kong” and “exit through the gift shop”
1. Groundhog Day
2. Groundhog Day
3. Groundhog Day

I got a few suggestions myself for this list:
Goodfellas,
Full Metal Jacket,
The Godfather,
Jurassic Park,
Home Alone,
Highlander
At the top of my rewatchability list are:
1 Clerks
2 Donnie Darko
Even though they've been out 24 and 17 years, respectively, I still watch them at least once a year. Stoner comedies and disaffected teenagers never go out of style!
Others on my list:
3 Fallen Angels (1995) The movie that introduced me to Wong Kar Wai's universe.
There's a lot of commentary between nature vs nurture and the more you watch the more little actions and decisions you notice where you wonder what drove the character, their personality, or past?
thank you its about time someone talked about tommy boy its a great film up there with blues brothers.
With modern technology a videogame done in the live action/animation style of A Scanner Darkly would be amazing.
Looking good Paul! And Chauncey looking chipper than ever!
Agreed that docs can be tough to make a rewatch list but idle I were to expand on some others from that genre, I would throw in “king of Kong” and “exit through the gift shop”
