- After a year hiatus, Jody from Thornton Hundred returned to Bike Shed London with a show-stopper, their take on a Ducati Panigale 1299.
They took a different direction with this one compared to their CR500 street tracker from 2017 and totally upped their game in terms of engineering and fabrication.
Standout features include a 3D printed headlight and air intake assembly, CNC'd and polished subframe tail unit, beautifully fabricated GP style winglets up front, and a stunning handmade titanium exhaust system, this part alone owing Jody 70 hrs of his life back.

Cold tires and they are slicks but yes...This bike will get you in trouble especially being so light and so much power AMAZING!!!!!!

The bike is a piece of art. It's one of the nicest bike I've ever seen! I can't get over the detail u put into it. Blown away man
No doubting Jody's engineering and fabrication skills and hats off to him for trying something different, and I guess I'm very much in a minority hear reading the other comments - but for me the Panigale is one of the most beautiful bikes you can currently buy and this custom version just hurts my eyes....sorry about that...I guess we can't all have the same taste!! I hope this doesn't mean I'm in the "out" crowd now......
Its only plastics, honestly to me the beauty is what is lurking underneath the plastic fairings. If the Panigale v2 had some hideous steel frame like found on say cb650r, ninja 400 or any other budget bike like that I would say exactly what you say, but when the bike is actually very thought out of then it is a real shame to hide all that underneath some cheap plastics. :P
For example, look at the retro styled MV F3, it sure looks nice but 30K for just different looking plastics is insane as it is still just a F3 underneath the plastic fairings.
No you're right.its probably one of the sexiest bikes ever made.Wasnt impressed by this.MV Agusta can design best naked bikes.
Ducati should pay him a ton of money and start making these!!!! I'd be first in line!!!
@@shawncox9112 nah, I would not go that far. I hate when manufacturers simply release a naked version ie a streetfighter version of the sportbike, the geometry and the centre of the mass is not the same and would make a pretty bad street bike. I mean the Tuono v4, and the Bmw s1000r do not feel that nimble and easily controlled as a real street bike designed from scratch do be just that.

fcodijk I have a 2010 streetfighter s right now. Beautiful bike, but tbh they pieces of crap. Rather just have a Yamaha, way more reliable
This bike is mega. I’ve owned two Ducati’s (among many other bikes). They were a 2015 Panigale 1299 S, and an 09 Monster 1100 S. I was so in love with both of them (the Monster for its looks and ergos... and the 1299 for its ridiculous power), that I’d often dream of buying a newer 1200S and transplanting the 1285cc engine from the 1299 into that frame, and creating a REAL MONSTER!... but I was never able to find a 1299 engine for sale (yes, to be exact, they are 1285cc, to be exact... please don’t be one of those ppl who says “but the badge says it’s 1299cc!😫”). Never did I think about the fact that you could just take the body work off the Panigale and go from there.

You wouldn't last 5 minutes on it until neck and wrist cramp set in.
Research development and racing testing as if he could machine build and test a super bike from scratch let alone the computer tech don’t make me laugh I own a Ducati Panigale r buy the real bike years of development refinement testing millions of dollars developing technology carbon frames etc mostly from racing engineers and designers wake up clown are you Bill gates or Elon musk or Tesla they can’t even do it properly wake up I am a qualified mechanical engineer 40 + years I couldn’t do after working for car and bike companies even with unlimited time and money!!!

Holy cow i bet that bike is extremely radical to ride!! I took all the fairings off a liter bike one time and rode it hard and it made the bike want to wheelie so much more amd it was way faster until wind resistance played in effect. Good grief man!!

Looks beautiful. Put a guard on that oil cooler and radiator before you put a hole in them with that front sticky tire and tiny fender.
