It's good to know that in this day and age, there's still some places you can still leave your bikes out front and not have to worry about them walking off. Takes me back...
Well Im pretty hesitant John, I never leave my bike out over night or at a place I don't seem fit! Better to be safe than sorry ig! Now a days it's actually more vandalism than stealing the bike itself IMO. I can only imagine what it was like back then
Dear Brother, I saw your channel today, I watched a lot of videos, yours are super. You are asked to wait when you are waiting in line for a superbike at your house. I am also a boy who loves superbikes. But due to the economic situation of our country, it is very difficult for us to buy a superbike. Superbikes are driven by people with big money. Superbikes are big dreams for our poor. Someday before I die, I will definitely own a superbike. Brother, your work is great. I see you as a god who gives life to dead angles. A lot of superbike freaks like me are enjoying your videos so keep up the good work. I will stay with you always. God bless you mine brother! Yashith Sasmitha,
A huge amount of distortion and trauma in those bent and twisted parts, masses of focused energy to do that! She made you work for all of that strip down 😂👌🏻🔥
Well you are very optimistic with this bike, because the spare parts will cost you alot, seriously. There are very important and expensive parts that are broken. And above all you will have to make sure that the engine is working. I know the Ducati Panigale, but I don't want to discourage you. I wish you good work with this bike and that everything will be fine.
This whole video I was sweating , I know those forks are 3k for a used ( in ok ) shape , There’s no speedometer is missing 😔that’s another 1500 and u have to buy it with the ect that it belongs to . On top of all the other things that are broken that’s gonna cost u an arm and a leg , the engine has a gunshot . You got a sub in me just for buying a wrecked Panigale 1199 and resurrecting it. 👍 💪🇮🇹💪🇺🇸💪 ZZZZIP !!!!!
Interesting note: the displacement is 1198, but because they already had an 1198, they literally just rounded to 1199. It threw a lot of people for a loop because its predecessor was the 1098.
the 1199 doesnt have wheelie control. Just has traction control in 8 variable settings, which also restricts power when front and back wheel are not within certain speed ranges of each other. (which, depending on your traction control settings act harsher to you lifting the front up) Also that crack at the front engine is your valve cover.
This is a parts bike only! Not a repair bike. Buying this blind on an auction as a repairer is madness. I run a recovery company that specialises in motorcycle recovery in the uk and from experience the amount this is pushed back the frame is 100% bent. If the wheel cracks and it doesn’t go back so much you can be lucky but this is f@£ked. The forks and the wheel has to give for the frame to survive. But this was too hard of a whack it’s gone beyond that point.
I said the same, but these guys think they know best. I said it from a qualified IMI ATA/VDA Vehicle Damage Assessor with 40 years experience of rebuilding bikes' perspective, but I guess American market Ducatis must be made of that self repairing aluminium alloy called Unobtainium.
Big fan of the channel all the way from South Africa, too bad our copart(smd) is expensive and doesn't really have a lot of options in terms of bikes and rebuilds
my dad had this one, its a god damn monster of a mashine, probably best bike on the market, even better then bmw 1000rr. when this thing starts, it sounds like WWII german battle tank, i kid you not, its so laud, this thing is made for track, in city conditions you almost cant drive it, it wants throttle high up. if you plan driving it, after you fix it, be careful, it dosent forgive mistakes.
hello. First problem is the key that is married to the computer. You have to sell Ducati fabric to have the permit. Second, the front rubber seems to have been installed backwards. luck. Luke
The steering won’t lock because you have the locking tabs both sheered off from the lower triple tree. Either way I’m pretty sure Ducati, along with all other bike companies use tilt switches and I’m sure it activated in the crash. I’ve worked on a lot of bike and they all have tilt sensors, but I’ve never touched a Ducati.
Excelent project. I saw all the Honda CBR 1000 rebuild vídeos and obviously you know what needs to be donne and how. Did you have any previous experience on a shop, or whatever? Just curious because rebuilding bikes is a serious thing.
Thank you Ricardo! It's embarrassing but my first videos on the CBR600rr way back in the day kinda of back me up when I say, I have had 0 experience on bikes, when it comes to riding and fixing them. @@CJMediaOfficial Is that so? Wow, congrats man, you´re a real natural. To me the mechanical parts are a lot easier to figure them out, eletrical on the other hand...............hahaha.
PSA for anyone rebuilding bikes. If a brake level looks to have been impacted in any way, replace it! The brake systems on bikes is not the same as on cars. I had a lever that looked to be good, then one day while going down the road my front brakes decided to come on, on their own. Very scary btw.

How would the bike be able to run if modern bikes have tip over sensors and kill the bike when tripped ?? Did u think about that before you said it ????
I am not sure! But I assume when the tip over sensor is right side up once again it allows the bike to start right up again. If I'm not mistaken there is some form of electrical ball that slides from side to side when then bike is leaned over so when the bike gets leaned back right side up the ball slides back into position allowing the current to flow again thus the bike can start right up.

Who was the delivery company?
Not sure, it was chosen by the auction sight
iv seen alot of crashed bikes il be really surprised if when all plastics are off that frame aint bent
I'm thinking the main impact was lower not transferring the force to the top frame but idk much about frames anyway.
