Does anybody else's eyes and soul light up whenever seeing an '80s video? They just take me back to being a teen.

Can’t believe Daryl is 77. Say it isn’t so!
Pete Townshend is 79. And we do hate their generation!

I can’t believe it!!! Such a legend: love him

I agree. Suddenly at her age, 'Like a Virgin' takes on a whole other perspective. Likewise, Hall & Oates are presumably in the Menopause phase of their career ('tell me it isn't so"). 🙏
An 80's boy and I'm on my 50s now, but still rock and rolling with Hall and Oates, fantastic band with great beat to their music!

It is!
Picture this... Being 13 years old, waking up to this song blasting in the back seat of your mom's car, it's jet black outside, traveling home in the middle of the night from Indio, CA through the desert on a two lane, lonesome, dark highway. That's where my mind takes me every time I hear this song. Music is like looking through a photo album for me. Brings back vivid memories. And something about hearing a song while you are sleeping and then waking up to it gives it a dreamy feeling everytime I hear it.
I love the build up it starts like your jumping over little pebbles in a pond.Later in the song it makes you feel like you could be jumping mountains.
Cool! I can feel your feeling for this song! I'm 42, but I will always be 25ish inside! And, at least there are a few in the later generations who agree with me and others here, about this song/ say it isn't so! No pun intended 😉😉😉. Thanks for keeping the spirit of this song alive in your generation!! Past it on to the next generation........later!
How about traveling through a portal back in time... Just like looking through one of those kaleidoscopes we got at Christmas as kids. 🤔🙏

Daryl Hall is sadly among the many amazing Vocalists who was often overlooked as a damn fine Vocalist. He has a very Expressive voice... wide range and knows how to use it well
EMPIRE ENTERTAINMENT & EVENTS So true
OVERLOOKED?
WHAT CENTURY WERE YOU BORN? I REMEMBER THESE TWO GUYS CHARTING THE TOP 10 EVERY YEAR FROM 1975 TO 1985. THEY GOT THE GRAMMY'S TO SHOW FOR IT.
They are one of the most successful duos of all time, with plenty of hits to back that statement up. Daryl Hall was never overlooked, although the same can't really be said for John Oates. :)

Give me the 80’s back please

One of my fave 80s tunes. This was on one of my buddies mixtapes. We rode w our families and shared headphones on the walkman listening to this and other 83-84 hits for about 9 hours while driving to New Mexico to snow ski. Great memories!
I went to HS in Santa Fe, NM in 1983. Hall & Oats had such a unique sound in the 80s. I've always loved them and always will.💕
❤❤❤
On a February night in 1984, after seeing the CNY parade in San Francisco Chinatown, I sat with my girlfriend in my ‘65 Mustang overlooking the City on Inspiration Point in the Presidio. We shared our first kiss. This track played on the radio in the background. Even after forty years I’ll never forget this memory.
Another thing...where did time go? My parents are now 60 and many hall and oates music give me warm..... almost...well, just good memories. The music is still sexy and wonderful today with the beats and melodies and the visual. It actually gives me chills.
Awe man......if you had a sax player featured in your song in the 80’s it was an automatic hit!
