@@Carly_SIUThat’s absolutely not true. Traditional country music is descended from Appalachian folk music. Incorporating computer generated sounds and pop rhythms is not country music whatsoever. I think it is great that you actually know a lot of country music. Did you know that the BBC showcased a lot of American country back in the 70's? There are great video recording of several shows. One of my Godfathers (I had two, twins John and Paul) was a country singer/songwriter for many years starting in Nashville in the early sixties. Needless to say, he introduced me to country music in a big way. He came to every family event with his guitar, ready to give us a tune. He and I sang together throughout my life, just for fun, and I kept him aware of new music. His tastes were old school, but he understood the lyrical beauty of many newer bands through the years. The first time I was thanked in the liner notes of a CD, I brought him a copy. Made that old man smile.

You must react to The Devil Went Down to Georgia (Charlie Daniels Band) it’s the version with 21 million views and over 207,000 likes. I can’t believe it’s only an honorable mention.
Adam..I am 58, raised near Boston, however, my Daddy is from as far north in Upstate NY as you can get before crossing the St. Lawrence to Ontario. He grew up on a farm & raised me on Country Music, just like my Grandma Bill did with him & his 10 siblings. I have 40 first cousins & so on & so on. Our Family 'Jam Song' is Hank Williams "Kawliga". You would 1000% fit right in with our 120+ Family Reunions & our sing-a-longs. I ended up being a 4 time award finalist for "Country Air Personality of the Year" thanks to my Daddy & the knowledge of Country Music he instilled in me. Later I moved to Nashville, worked for The Nashville Network, CMT & The Grand Ole Opry. My Daughter was born there & my kids now also sing these songs with the generations before. Thank you for playing this list!! My favorite has always been Waylon Jennings (like my Daddy) & his beautiful, sweet wife, Jessi Colter. I'd have to say her song "I'm Not Lisa" is probably my all time favorite. I had the distinct pleasure of introducing them on stage near my home in Boston in 1994. I love all their songs. My Favorites of Waylon's are "Amanda" & his cover of "Suspicious Minds" by Elvis. Btw...bit of trivia for you... the song by Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac called "Leather & Lace" recorded with Don Henley of the Eagles, she wrote about Waylon & Jessi
The water tower at Kingsland, Arkansas, where Cash was born, has a silhouette of him holding a guitar painted on it. A couple of years ago, a local smartass shot a hole in the crotch, so it looked like Cash was peeing. He got caught and slapped with $15,000 in fines.
My dad was a country music person, so I grew up with all of these songs. One of my all time favorites was actually "Ghost Riders in the Sky"(especially the older versions), but most of the ones this showed were great. You go ahead and sing to these, I know I did.
This was so much fun!! My mom is a huge Patsy Cline fan. I'm more of a Reba and Dolly person myself. Anyway, LeAnn Rhymes sang a song called "Blue". It debuted around 1993. I mention it because the song was originally written for Patsy Cline, who died in a plane crash before the recording could take place.
The most beautiful country song ever written is “ Wichita Lineman” by Jimmy Webb and sung by Glen Campbell. I cry everytime I hear it sing it. And check out Home Free’s brilliant cover of Folsom Prison Blues!
Absolutely. There have been times when I've listened to Glen Campbell singing Wichita Lineman on loop for weeks at a time. One of the most beautiful & distinctive songs ever.
George Strait is our State treasure along with Willie Nelson. Check out Patsy Cline's "Sweet Dreams". She recorded the song and died in a plane crash before it was released. They released it posthumously.
I'm so mad it took me this long to find out you reacted to country top 10. It's the first time I've seen it myself, so I was curious about their order too. I was AMAZED that 1, "Hurt" didn't make it, 2, "Whiskey Lullaby" didn't make it, and 3, that "He Stopped Loving Her Today" wasn't #1. I would've bumped Tammy and Patsy below Hank Williams Sr., who is still in my opinion the king of country music. I'm pleasantly pleased to find out that you like American country and western music. I like a lot of Celtic and Irish stuff, which is where a lot of American country music get's it's roots. A lot of it stemmed from Scottish and Irish people living in America's Appalachian Mountains, just singing about life. And that's why I too think that it is far and away, the best music out there. It's authentic. When a guy sings about love and loss, about a hard day's work, about serving time in prison, about trying to make it to Amarillo by morning with everything he owns being just what he's got on, it rings true and touches people who've been there. It's also why I can't stand most modern "country", and I'm with you there too that the old stuff was better than almost anything written today. Most of the crap today is cookie cutter bologna, written by a formula by people who haven't even experienced what they're writing about, and it's not focused on adult men's living, it's about teenage to 24 year old guys going out and getting drunk and hooking up. It just doesn't ring country and western. It's pop rock music set in rural areas, which is why Beyonce can have a "country hit".
I actually saw Johnny Cash in concert as a kid and was pissed because I wanted to see the Beach Boys or Hall and Oats. I'm glad I saw it now at 53 but back then I was not happy LOL
Adam! I didn't know you could sing! Sing it, Adam! I'll sing right along with you! These songs are all country classics! I didn't want it to end. Also, I am most impressed with your knowledge of good ole country music! Kudos! Love your channel! ❤
😢 they's oldies my mom used to listen to these guys raised up with her I miss her very much my brother and my mom used to listen this all the time my sister was into a lot of the 60s and 70s rock and then here I come head banging listen to speed metal and death metal on thrash metal but this will always hold a special place in my heart
The thunder rolls - Garth God's country - Blake Jolene - Dolly Cash Feel like a woman - Shania (only because my big buff macho sailor friend would sing it at the top of his lungs while driving his beatup truck) But this is only a couple off top of head. So many more. Love the Devil goes down to Georgia.
Have you ever heard of Chapel Hart? They redid Dolly's song Jolene; changed it to, "You can have him Jolene!" I guess Dolly commented on their performance. Cool song!
If you've listened to Hurt...have you also caught Johnny's redition of.. 💥..When The Man Comes Around.. 💥..God's Gonna Cut You Down.. Both are excellent... 🌿🌿🌿
Adam, my mother and daddy used to dance in the kitchen to “It’s Only Make Believe “ by Conway Twitty. I remember thinking at the time how wonderful it must be to have a man love a woman the way my daddy loved my mother. I’m sorry, this country music reaction has brought back memories of my younger days but I had to share, take a listen to Conway when you get a chance. 🥰
Oh My Gosh... You are so right!!! Jim Carry looks just like George Jones! LOL I never saw it before but I'll never be able to unsee it now... lol Favorite song of all time, Amazing Grace... I sang it to my babies as I rocked them to sleep... But, Nights In White Satan by the Moody Blues holds a strong second...
Hello, Recently subscribed and just wanted to let you know that my wife and I enjoy your videos. I'll be commenting more randomness on your videos, so this one will just be an intro. I'm 39yrs old, originally from Oklahoma (so yes, I loved your tornado reactions), currently serving in military. Here are some country songs just for fun for you to check out if you haven't heard of them: 1. Third Rock from the Sun - Joe Diffie 2. Riding with Private Malone - David Ball 3. Grandpa (Tell me bout the good ole days) - The Judds 4. I'm no stranger to the rain - Keith Whitley 5. Ocean Front Property - George Strait 6. 9 to 5 - Dolly Parton 7. Baby's Got her blue jeans on - Mel McDaniel 8. Driving my life away - Eddie Rabbitt 9. Kiss an angel good morning - Charley Pride 10. Done - Chris Janson And here are some random ones for you, not all country. 1. Pray for you - Jaron Lowenstein 2. Walk Away - Rehab 3. Some Beach - Blake Shelton 4. I bought it - Craig Campbell 5. Till ya can't - Cody Johnson But my all time favorite song isn't even country, it would probably have to be Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple. My wife's favorite would be The Baby by Blake Shelton. Thanks for the videos.
My grandpa loved country music, he had been passed for a few years and I had to drive from Texas to Illinois for work, as I drove through Amarillo I sent a voice message to my mother of me singing "Amarillo by right now" it was a very sad moment but very healing.
If you're gonna dabble in American country music, I recommend Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, George Strait, Waylon Jennings for classic country. For new country, I recommend Eric Church, Zach Bryan, and Chris Stapleton
I'm kinda surprised by how many of these he sang along to perfectly. Well done Adam. Perhaps one day you can do a video on your favorite top ten country songs or artists?
My favorite song of all time is George Strait - I Cross My Heart George Strait - Check Yes or No George Strait - Amarillo By Morning Alabama - Word at Twenty Paces Alabama - Reckless Bellamy Brothers - Let Your Love Flow Bellamy Brothers - Boobs John Anderson - Seminole Wind John Anderson - Just A Swingin' Barbara Mandrell - I Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool Sons of the Pioneers - Ghost Riders In the Sky Sons of the Pioneers - Cool Water Not Country, but awesome - Bertie Higgins - Key Largo and Casablanca - both so worth listening to. I have so many beautiful songs that I listen to all the time. They span many genres. I could fill you with hours of music. This one isn't Country but I absolutely love this song. Enrique Iglesias, Juan Luis Guerra - Cuando Me Enamoro. Watch the official video Enrique Iglesias - Hero Kaoma - Lambada Santa Esmeralda - House of the Rising Sun
They used to call him "No Show" Jones because people would sell out arenas and the schmuck wouldn't even show up to perform. Johnny Cash's "Man in Black" was nothing more than an accident. All he had clean was a black shirt. His friends and family urged him not to audition because a white dress shirt and tie was commonplace back then. The black shirt sorta read like he was ambivalent about following the rules. He leaned into it...even doing a concert at a prison where the warden begged him not to sing a song about killing someone just to watch them die. Boxcar Willie's "Train Medley" is iconic. Dolly Parton could sing the phonebook and it'd be good. I have always loved Charlie Daniel's "Devil Went Down to Georgia" and John Anderson's "Seminole Wind," but probably my most favorite country song is by the Highwaymen called "Silver Stallion." The group was comprised of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson.
Another AMAZING cover by a country artist that really surprised me was Dolly Parton’s cover of Stairway to Heaven. It honestly may be one of the only covers I like more than the original, and I LOVE Led Zeppelin. She makes it so ethereal
You have a good voice, sing on! Would like to make a suggestion since you're into country music, try the world's only country music acapella band, as far as I know, Home Free. 5 guys, no instruments just the best harmonies you'll ever hear and a world class beatboxer. Their rendition of "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" from the movie of the same name is a killer to start off with. Their renditions of Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues" and "Ring of Fire" are amazing. They've toured all over Europe and the US. They're here on UA-cam and they have an amazing list to choose from. Any and all genres from country to opera. Hope you give them a listen, pick one of your favorites and enjoy. Love your channel, always a pick-me-up.
I like when you sing along. You have a great voice. I really hope you do more videos like this. This was cool. Also, I have to say that Dolly Parton, Randy Travis & Toby Keith should've been on this list. Maybe they're on another one.
That hair at 6:31. Wow! That was an extremely popular stye, by why in the world was it? She looks like she's either getting ready to bast off into space or tackle the quarterback. You could put team logos all over that hair. Agree, Country music is the best music. Although classic rock and roll is right up there too. It's pretty amazing how many singers hated their most famous songs. Sinatra hated singing My Way but it was what the fans wanted so he sang it. Favorite song of all time and across all genres has to be Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.
Most country music came from the (British/Irish/Scottish/Welsh) folks who settled in the Appalachian mountain areas as farmers and miners. Bluegrass music especially. I’m not a big fan, but there are songs and singers I appreciate. I grew up listening to it…my dad liked country music as well as big band music and Elvis, 12:50 where my mom liked classical and piano instrumentals and ballads. (Very eclectic). I like some of all of it, but particular rock and roll/ ballads and “Rockspell” music is my favorite…my favorite singer and songs are from a British singer Cliff Richard and also him and the Shadows.
I have pretty much the same taste as your dad, I love country music (40s-80s) and absolutely ADORE Elvis, and along with those pretty much any 50s music😂 I’m very fond of ballads as well
Gary Allan - "Best I Ever Had" is the most beautiful and simultaneously sad piece of country music I've ever heard in my life. It is brilliant and crushing.
I love Alan Jackson’s version of, Im So Lonesome I could Cry. Garth Brooks, The Dance. Vince Gills, Go Test High On that Mountain. Kenny Roger’s, Lady. Glenn Campbells, Wichita lineman.
I teethed on country music. When your mama is southern, you are southern. I am from Southern California. This is the best of the best. I agree that country is the best genre of music. What I love seeing now is all of the kids and grandkids and probably great grandkids of country royalty are now singing.
You need to come to my hometown, Nashville,TN. Sounds like you would love CMA Fest and there is live music 24/7 literally everywhere downtown. All the best southern food you can eat, free impromptu concerts from the big madness all the time, etc. My hubby is Irish and came here and never left.
Johnny Cash was my uncle's cousin. The way he looked at 11:58 on the video they could have been twins. They had a huge picture in their entryway that was painted by his Cash's wife or possibly daughter. I can't remember now which one but it was really nice.
3:24 Don't say you're sorry! I was singing right along with you! You're enjoyment is part of your honest reaction so go for it! It also made it so I couldn't make it past the first 2 words of The Gambler before finally giving in and singing too... that's spreading the joy, my friend. Thank you! Also, you have a nice voice as well so even less reason to be sorry. 😄
Hi Adam, Country Music is my favorite. Here are a couple of songs that I think you will enjoy especially since you are a new Dad. “Watching You” by Rodney Atkins “I Saw God Today” by George Strait Enjoy
You asked about favorite song of all time. Impossible to answer since there are so many great songs and my favorite is very mood dependent which can change rapidly. In the country genre (being a country girl through and through), probably have to go with the anthem, Country Boy Can Survive by none other than Hank Williams, Jr. (aka Bocephus).
I was just inside San Quentin last week. Went in there to watch a baseball game in the prison yard. It was quite the experience interacting with the prisoners.
Sadly, "Hurt" wasn't written or even first performed by Johnny Cash. It was written and performed buy the lead singer of "Nine Inch Nails." To his credit though, when he heard the Johnny Cash version, he said that it will from then on be a Johnny Cash song. But if we're talking about the best Johnny Cash songs, I thing "Walk The Line," or "When A Man Comes Around" are way more iconic for his sound than "Ring of Fire." And why the fuck isn't Dolly Parton on this list? I don't know a single Southern girl who can't sing "Jolene" on karaoke.
I'm a late Gen x, born in 79 but had family and in laws that song them songs a ton growing up. When I hit the Bring Your Own Bars in late 90s, those songs got me laid in parking lots of bars like crazy
First time watcher here! Glad this was my first video, North Carolina raised, wonderful to see you branching out from what you’d normally listen to. I didn’t even know anything besides gospel and country music existed(just had cassettes), until I was 12. I love music, country will always have a special place in my heart, but learning about punk changed my life👀.
That's my favorite music. That's the music I grew up with. I can't believe they left out Randy Travis. My favorite song he sang is called Digging Up Bones." He hasn't been able to sing or talk again after his very horrible stroke 11 years ago. So damn sad!.😭😭
I’ve got about a hundred songs tied for first place! Whichever of those songs I’m listening to at that exact moment, that one’s my favorite. …Although the first one I’d grab after being rescued from a desert isle would probably be You Rascal You (Jordan & Armstrong version). Or the Krupa version of Sing Sing Sing. Or Weird Al’s White & Nerdy. Or Gene Vincent’s Rip It Up. Or Led Zeppelin’s Wanton Song. Wait, I mean-Or-dang it, now I gotta narrow it down to just one Beastie Boys song?! ARGH. Nope. I’m sticking to the “at least a hundred” thing.
Wichita Lineman, recorded by Glen Campbell. There have been times I have listened to that song on loop for weeks at a time. Such a unique & beautiful melody & a gorgeous arrangement by Campbell. [ETA: And yes, I know it was written by Jimmy Webb.]
There's nothing like classic country. It's something I appreciated more and more as I got older. ❤️ It's not materialistic garbage. It's usually about real life situations and the baggage it comes with, good or bad.
ALWAYS Loved Patsy Cline!! Her songs I can almost sing and actually sound decently good!! Also love John Denver, I went to a concert in Wheeling WVA where it was just him and his Guitar. Totally Awesome that man could sing!! Randy Travis is another favorite of mine. And also Dolly Parton. As for my Favorite Country song? Would have to be Take me Home Country Roads, Sang by John Denver! Always reminds me of my home in WV, and where I need to move back to. Love that song
Hey man love your videos and your energy. I'm a country boy from oklahoma USA and the best country song ever is A country boy can survive by Hank Williams Jr. You should definatly check it out.
Omg i love how many of these classics you already knew. I personally built (with a few others at Texas Timber Frames) the gazebo on George Straights property in San Antonio, Texas. Never got to meet him but met his wife who provided us with mini sandwiches and water. Amazing people.

Actually Willie Nelson was an Accountant before he became a songwriter ❤
As did Hardy! And Brantley Gilbert. ❤
Chris Stapleton is responsible for writing the Josh Turner hit “Your Man”
Hank Williams had 11 #1 hits in his career he died at 29 years old in 1953. RIP HANK

I guess i should have said 'the night the lights went out in Geogia' instead. at least that is a song name i can't get wrong....(checking spelling instantly after typing that)
@@damienburroughs2119it literally doesn’t matter if you used 3 instead of three these people are just asses.
You must react to The Devil Went Down to Georgia (Charlie Daniels Band) it’s the version with 21 million views and over 207,000 likes. I can’t believe it’s only an honorable mention.
I was just thinking this! I think it is criminal too to cut off right before the epic violin solo😅
I can't believe that Friends in Low Places was #9. I wonder how they chose these songs.
Dolly should have been in the top 10.
🎵 I ain't got a dime
But what I've got is mine
I ain't rich
But Lord, I'm free
Amarillo by mornin'
Amarillo's where I'll be 🎵
That's always been one of my favorites.
Johnny, Waylon, Kris and Willie singing "This is the Last Cowboy Song'. Something about the 4 of them together is magical.
My dad was a country music person, so I grew up with all of these songs. One of my all time favorites was actually "Ghost Riders in the Sky"(especially the older versions), but most of the ones this showed were great. You go ahead and sing to these, I know I did.
Dude....Thanks for always providing a good guaranteed laugh. Also glad to hear you belting out the country songs. It's down home music!
I always loved the Reba M. version of Blue, and used to sometimes sing it at Karaoke.
LeAnn is impressive because she sang Blue at 13
Leeann Womack was my favorite along with Lainey wilson
The most beautiful country song ever written is “ Wichita Lineman” by Jimmy Webb and sung by Glen Campbell. I cry everytime I hear it sing it.
And check out Home Free’s brilliant cover of Folsom Prison Blues!
Absolutely. There have been times when I've listened to Glen Campbell singing Wichita Lineman on loop for weeks at a time. One of the most beautiful & distinctive songs ever.
Gentle on my mind by glen is a classic also
I love that one, just recently heard it for the 1st time, I’m 16
Speaking of King George, he broke a record today. Largest concert audience in U.S. history. 110,000 people. Happened in Texas.
George Strait is our State treasure along with Willie Nelson. Check out Patsy Cline's "Sweet Dreams". She recorded the song and died in a plane crash before it was released. They released it posthumously.
Wow! I am shocked. These are pretty old country songs you know. I did not know these were so popular in the UK.
Country music is by far the best. It's a shared experience with the Brits
I also can't help but sing along to songs. People get really mad at me, but I just can't stop myself
I took my son to see Johnny and June perform at the Oregon State Fair about 35 years ago. It a special to see them singing together.
Adam! I didn't know you could sing! Sing it, Adam! I'll sing right along with you! These songs are all country classics! I didn't want it to end. Also, I am most impressed with your knowledge of good ole country music! Kudos! Love your channel! ❤
YOU HAVE AN AMAZING SINGING VOICE. you even have TWANG while singing.. you could absolutely do country music
The thunder rolls - Garth
God's country - Blake
Jolene - Dolly
Cash
Feel like a woman - Shania (only because my big buff macho sailor friend would sing it at the top of his lungs while driving his beatup truck)
But this is only a couple off top of head. So many more. Love the Devil goes down to Georgia.
Have you ever heard of Chapel Hart? They redid Dolly's song Jolene; changed it to, "You can have him Jolene!" I guess Dolly commented on their performance. Cool song!
Absolutely “The Thunder Rolls”! One of the songs from when I was a kid that I’m always happy to hear
@@sevenember3332you should listen to the cover by State of Mine!! It’s actually so good I was really surprised since they’re an alternative metal band
Absolutely loved watching you sing along to the songs, haven't seen you do that in quite awhile.
This reactions is one of my favorites....Lots of fun and I like that you know the songs and sing along..LOL It's great...
I can listen to Johnny Cash’s cover of Hurt all day long and be fine, but I can’t make it through the music video without shedding a tear or 6 😢
If you've listened to Hurt...have you also caught Johnny's redition of..
💥..When The Man Comes Around..
💥..God's Gonna Cut You Down..
Both are excellent...

PLEASE CONTINUE to sing along! When you started singing along THAT’S what made me subscribe!!! Fantastic reactions! 😊🎤
Great reaction video Adam
Thanks mate!
Haha I discovered you when you did reactions to Home Free. Would love to see more, and I love this American journey you've been on.
Country music, Hell yeah..... do more.
Oh My Gosh... You are so right!!! Jim Carry looks just like George Jones! LOL I never saw it before but I'll never be able to unsee it now... lol
Favorite song of all time, Amazing Grace... I sang it to my babies as I rocked them to sleep... But, Nights In White Satan by the Moody Blues holds a strong second...
Hello,
Recently subscribed and just wanted to let you know that my wife and I enjoy your videos. I'll be commenting more randomness on your videos, so this one will just be an intro. I'm 39yrs old, originally from Oklahoma (so yes, I loved your tornado reactions), currently serving in military. Here are some country songs just for fun for you to check out if you haven't heard of them:
1. Third Rock from the Sun - Joe Diffie
2. Riding with Private Malone - David Ball
3. Grandpa (Tell me bout the good ole days) - The Judds
4. I'm no stranger to the rain - Keith Whitley
5. Ocean Front Property - George Strait
6. 9 to 5 - Dolly Parton
7. Baby's Got her blue jeans on - Mel McDaniel
8. Driving my life away - Eddie Rabbitt
9. Kiss an angel good morning - Charley Pride
10. Done - Chris Janson
And here are some random ones for you, not all country.
1. Pray for you - Jaron Lowenstein
2. Walk Away - Rehab
3. Some Beach - Blake Shelton
4. I bought it - Craig Campbell
5. Till ya can't - Cody Johnson
But my all time favorite song isn't even country, it would probably have to be Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple. My wife's favorite would be The Baby by Blake Shelton.
Thanks for the videos.
El Paso by Marty Robbin’s is Amazing!!
Yes !!!
My grandpa loved country music, he had been passed for a few years and I had to drive from Texas to Illinois for work, as I drove through Amarillo I sent a voice message to my mother of me singing "Amarillo by right now" it was a very sad moment but very healing.
You actually have a really good singing voice!!
“I Believe in Love” by Don Williams is my favorite song of all time.
Love that, do you know Lord I hope this day is good?
If you're gonna dabble in American country music, I recommend Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, George Strait, Waylon Jennings for classic country. For new country, I recommend Eric Church, Zach Bryan, and Chris Stapleton
I also recommend Brad paisley
@@Andrew-ov9pe ooh yes good recommendation
And also Jamey Johnson for newer country.
No Toby Keith?
@@m2hmghb truuuuuuuuu may he rest in peace
Sing along if you want. You have a lovely voice. ☺️
I'm kinda surprised by how many of these he sang along to perfectly. Well done Adam. Perhaps one day you can do a video on your favorite top ten country songs or artists?
Don't encourage him ❤😂
My favorite song of all time is George Strait - I Cross My Heart
George Strait - Check Yes or No
George Strait - Amarillo By Morning
Alabama - Word at Twenty Paces
Alabama - Reckless
Bellamy Brothers - Let Your Love Flow
Bellamy Brothers - Boobs
John Anderson - Seminole Wind
John Anderson - Just A Swingin'
Barbara Mandrell - I Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool
Sons of the Pioneers - Ghost Riders In the Sky
Sons of the Pioneers - Cool Water
Not Country, but awesome - Bertie Higgins - Key Largo and Casablanca - both so worth listening to.
I have so many beautiful songs that I listen to all the time. They span many genres. I could fill you with hours of music.
This one isn't Country but I absolutely love this song. Enrique Iglesias, Juan Luis Guerra - Cuando Me Enamoro. Watch the official video
Enrique Iglesias - Hero
Kaoma - Lambada
Santa Esmeralda - House of the Rising Sun
“Hurt” was covered by Johnny Cash; it was originally recorded by a rock band called Nine Inch Nails
I agree. Love Home Free!
This is an undertaking brother! I'd create a different playlist about it and be through about it.
Love from USA brother!
John Denver’s Thank God I’m A Country Boy and Take Me Home, Country Road are two of my Honorable Mentions ❤🤠
I love Alan Jackson’s version of, Im So Lonesome I could Cry. Garth Brooks, The Dance. Vince Gills, Go Test High On that Mountain. Kenny Roger’s, Lady. Glenn Campbells, Wichita lineman.
Country music has its basis in protestant Scots-Irish settlers.
Yep. Very true.
It's always nice to see non-American Country fans. Of course, you have excellent taste in music!
Johnny Cash was my uncle's cousin. The way he looked at 11:58 on the video they could have been twins. They had a huge picture in their entryway that was painted by his Cash's wife or possibly daughter. I can't remember now which one but it was really nice.
7:23 Fun fact about Merle Haggard: He died on his 79th birthday.
11:09 Fun fact about Marty Robbins: he was also a prominent Nascar driver.
I'm surprised Dolly Parton's Jolene,Toby Keith's Courtesy of the Red White and Blue and Lee Greenwood's God Bless the USA was not on this list.
Hurt is not a original Johnny Cash song. Trent Reznor wrote and performed the song with Nine Inch Nails before The man in black did.
Agreed!
I was pleasantly surprised by how good her sounded!
@@greeneyedlady5580 Same!
Hi Adam,
Country Music is my favorite. Here are a couple of songs that I think you will enjoy especially since you are a new Dad. “Watching You” by Rodney Atkins
“I Saw God Today” by George Strait
Enjoy
You have a great voice and even throw in that country twang well. More sing-alongs would be great! 👏🎶
Dude! You have a great Country voice! Keep singing.......we'll join in!!
It's so hard to pick just ten but that being said not having Dolly Parton on the list is a shame. She wrote so many songs.
Garth Brooks, Reba and Dolly are ultimate country music with great story telling
Update: the gambler came on and i couldnt help but sing with you
you cannot lose with Reba.
Garth Brooks is as phony as they are.
Sadly, "Hurt" wasn't written or even first performed by Johnny Cash. It was written and performed buy the lead singer of "Nine Inch Nails." To his credit though, when he heard the Johnny Cash version, he said that it will from then on be a Johnny Cash song. But if we're talking about the best Johnny Cash songs, I thing "Walk The Line," or "When A Man Comes Around" are way more iconic for his sound than "Ring of Fire."
And why the fuck isn't Dolly Parton on this list? I don't know a single Southern girl who can't sing "Jolene" on karaoke.
I'm a late Gen x, born in 79 but had family and in laws that song them songs a ton growing up. When I hit the Bring Your Own Bars in late 90s, those songs got me laid in parking lots of bars like crazy
Hurt is amazing! Favorite country song is George Strait’s Fool Hearted Memory. It was his first number one hit. Then Amanda by Waylon Jennings.
My all time favorite: Marty Robbins: Ballad of Alamo
Im stunned you knew these songs! Wow. Love from Texas 🇨🇱
Dolly Parton's Jolene not being on here is criminal.
Yes!!
Ladies and gentlemen: Mr. Conway Twitty.
You are referring to family guy...hello darling..should be on this list
That's my favorite music. That's the music I grew up with. I can't believe they left out Randy Travis. My favorite song he sang is called Digging Up Bones." He hasn't been able to sing or talk again after his very horrible stroke 11 years ago. So damn sad!.😭😭
Love it!
@@MoreAdamCouser It feels so good to finally find another country music fan! The fans are hard to find.
I absolutely LOVE that song
OMG.. I'm loving every song.. My Pop-Pop raised me on classic country.. This is GOLD to me. Thank you and keep singing.
This reaction made my night; thanks Adam!
Great reaction Adam. Good to see that you are into other genres of American music. One of my favorite country songs is Seminole Wind by John Anderson
My favorite Johnny Cash songs are Folsom Prison Blues, A Boy Named Sue and Hurt.
Adam, you’ve got a great voice. I’m like you, if I hear a good song I have to sing along.
Yes, I see Jim Carrey, too.
From “The Mask” ?? I could see the resemblance …. 😂
You actually have a good voice for an irish guy singing american country music! ❤❤
Country originated in Ireland 🇮🇪
Who was singing along with Adam? 🙋🏻♀😂
Me, and virtually everyone else in the audience who loves country music!
Me 😂
Guilty 😅
