I was always curious if the needles in dermarolling/dermastamping splits and duplicates the hair follicle. I've plucked hairs that have come back double elsewhere on my body and was curious if this was possible.
Smart observation! How is your hair now? mind to update?
Mine own hair growth progress and success, I followed this daily regimen:
Take early morning sunlight daily for vitamin D. Consume vegetables of various colours. Applying paraben-free and fragrance free hair shampoo and gently massaging twice a week with hair oil by litttleextra cooconion. Imp. to keep in mind that hair growth is affected by general well-being as well as circulation and nutrition.
this may not work for males.
The cocoonnioonn hair shampoo and oil effectively controlled the hair fall.
What a waste of 5mins of my life. "Start low" Do you know how unhelpful that is? We need numbers.
0,5
Exactly if i have 0.5, 1 and 1.5, which one is lower, how do I read the scale???
@@Kumar-du2pr Are you retarded? We are talking about using a lower depth and you don't know if .5 is lower than 1.5? Start on the lowest depth available to you and increase it if you aren't bleeding and can tolerate it.
God bless people like you who actually comment. Saves the rest time.
Truth
Wow you really went a whole video and couldn’t even mention lengths to try or not try, I’m impressed
Imagine him teaching a class 😂
This makes perfect sense if you look at the anatomy of a single hair, with reference to the hair bulb and underlying blood supply.
I used a derma pen, and for a few months now, my hair in one spot seems thinner. In that same spot, I once penned myself to where it hurt for about 48 hours, but with no bleeding. Just the sting of inflammation from the jab of the automatic pen. For there to be permanent hair loss via scarring or otherwise, is bleeding a necessity? I have heard that traumatized follicles can come back after many months, which is fine with me, but scars disallow this from being possible.
what depth you used? scarring your scalp is indeed not the best
A derma roller with 0.25mm needles is generally considered too short for stimulating hair regrowth in areas with significant hair loss or a receding hairline. These shorter needles are more suitable for improving skincare product absorption and enhancing skin texture.
For hair regrowth on a receding hairline, it's typically recommended to use a derma roller with longer needles, ideally in the range of 0.5 to 1.5 millimeter.
Where did you get this info?
I got ,0.2 without researching lucky it was cheap I felt penetration a bit on the hairline
I got myself a 0.3 mm. Is it any good?
Guys plz use 0.5 , 0.5 is considered as standard for recovering hair lines , and also use gently dont use external pressure either it could damage your hair follicle and so how you can loose you hair line permanently
Modern research says with a hand roller. 1-1.5 is best for most people and start short if you worry. Goal is redness, with no or very rare bleeding.
One commenter asked, and I would also like to know: Does derma rolling prior to HT reduce the efficacy of an HT? Thanks
No
Hi.. i was wondering, when is the optimal timing to apply hair serum when dermaroling? ( specifically hair growth serum that contains redensyl )
did you got any answer?
I bought a Koi Beauty stamp. I stamped my entire head and I only saw some blood up at the front of the crown where my hairline used to be. Sadly, very little is left of the hair. This is the only place I saw any blood. Also, there's a dermatologist recommending a depth of 2.5 ml. That channel is MD Pen Microneedling. I can't even be sure what the depth is on the cheap Koi tool. It spins about .05 before it does anything. Reviewers say that when you push down with it that the needles push back into the base. I didn't notice this myself when I used it. I'm surprised the needles are so fine to where I can barely see them even when they are out. The needles are like the bed of nails that people lay on and then have people walk on them. Or that is what it reminded me of.
Hello , Please concern my post. I have done hair transplant from turky before 9 months. From the 5th severe hair fall started again, But my clinic advisor told me that its temporary it will stop. and hair will regrow. but it did not stop. Its been 9 months, My hairs are like just hanging When i wash them or pust fingers in them , Like everytime more than 50 hairs are in my finger, and in one day i can't even explain. please please suggest me something what should i do , my head looks again white and hairs are falling out. I started using minoxidil spray and xpecia tablet from 3rd month after transplantation. and using them untill now. like Minoxidil give me much more dandruff and i feel like minoxidil makes my hairfall so terrible. what should i do
How long do we have to use it each time, and how many days in a week?
Have you seen improvements in grey hair in some of your followers after months of dermarolling? Thank you!
U r a genius and helpful for all the bald guys out there.much thanks
Also doctor a question that you could answer to your next video. You said that finasteride at 5 years the ratio falls to 64%.. What if someone doesn't take it for a whole month which is the period required for our body to completely wash out finasteride, will the ratio go back to 89% once start taking it again? If it's the case, would it help if we stopped using finasteride for a month once per year? Another question, let's say that I have a very slight recession on my temples, and judging by my family tree, none goes beyond norwood 3 until very old age. Will taking 1-2mg weekly of finasteride would be any benefit for me? I am personally using minoxidil only daily the last 2 months and my doctor told me that my hairline got better than it was two years ago, I didn't lose any ground. So what would be the best way to maintain my hairline? Topical finasteride + minoxidil, or some low dose of finasteride like 1-2 mg weekly plus minoxidil?
1mg weekly? That's way too low.
No ! If it stops working still that Fin and 1 of Dut O.50 mg cap, 1 a week is enough ! This should stop your hair loss.
After finasteride stopped working for me, I started using dutasteride once a week and finasteride the other six days. It didn't slow down my hair loss at all, so I discontinued finasteride entirely, and now I use 0.5mg of dutasteride every day. Maybe the once-weekly dose of dutasteride helps some people, but it was too small of a dose to do anything for me.
@@dualscreengrant is it not a new hair shedding faze, I’m surprised you should on fin 6 mg a week with 1 cut 0.5 a week should stop hair loss and should thicken up your existing hair. I would stick with it ! It can take up to 1 or 2 years for results. Shedding faze can last from 2 weeks to 3 or 4 mouths.

Thank you! Great video. Short and sweet with usable and practical advice that can be used immediately free of commercial or bias.
Is 0.3mm too short for dermarolling? I really don't like the pain and I'm not sure if I can handle longer needles.
A Derma Stamp mite be better.
Are you joking, even a mosquito has a 1mm needle length. Get an adjustable derma stamp, start with the 0.5mm and continue until you see very little dot bleeding, then you can switch to that size of derma roller so the procedure will consume less time and the product is cheaper as well. If you can't tolerate pain, then go with 0.3mm-0.5mm 3 times a week with minoxidil daily for only absorption.
@@giorgikuprava1055 well mosquito hurts and draws out blood we dont want that now do we?

Does Derma Rolling Cause Temporary Shedding. Should I continue if I m experiencing it.

Can people with no hair loss pattern use this.

Whats the good needle point size for Bald skalp?
Can we use topical anaesthesia before rolling?
I've always had a messy/uneven hairline but my temples were always fine (not totally perfect even as kid, I'm 31 now) I never cared about hair loss. But I've became a bit paranoid after watching a video of a youtuber I'm suscribed to adressing this topic on a personal level. I really can't tell if I'm receding because I've always had this saw like pattern that had random hairs growing separatedly and stuff. My hair shedding is at a total normal rate I'd say even below average. And 95% of my family have pretty good hair genes. But I'm still worried. What should I do?
Start taking lower dose of finastride daily 0.25mg
Go see an actual doctor and find out
I just purchased a 1.0 mm. Thoughts ?
Is it allowed to perform microneedling over a lipoma?
For anyone wondering! 0-5 to 1mm depth is ideal to start and to avoid scarring.
According to some; anything less than one millimeter in depth won't stimulate hair grown as well, but its better to start low to avoid harming follicles or skin tissue

Yes, doses as low as 0.2mg/day are scientifically proven. Any higher doeses above this point should give better results.
I believe 0.5 blocks 75% DHT, and 1mg blocks 79%. Its not a huge difference.

Start low from?
Based on the research I've done, pretty much any needle length can cause blood, all depends how many times you roll. So should blood really be the indication?
Is dermarolling by repeatedly puncturing the skin with a scalpel blade held in ones hand (without a scalpel blade holder) too deep? I just let the resistance of the skin dictate the depth the scalpel blade goes to and it does cause bleeding. I thought I was doing it perfectly until watching this video ...
I had never seen blood doing dermaroller with needle from 1mm to 1.5 mm.
So what depth is a good starting place? And what is the maximum depth one should attempt?
.50 is a good starting point. In my opinion dont go above 1.5. I did .50 at first and now I am on .75. In a month I will try 1.0. Stay there for a month then try 1.25 for awhile. If its too much I will go back to 1.0. If I can handle 1.5 I will attempt. But in the literature .60 depth once a week. Or when people go above 1.0 its done less frequently like once every 2 weeks to once a month since its deeper. But 1.5 is the needle depth max I have seen for scalp/hair loss studies.

Is derma-rolling worth doing if you’re taking oral minoxidil?
Yes
I asked my dermatologist. He said microneedling doesn't do anything for hair loss unless you are using it along with a topical product. My hair loss regimen is dutasteride and oral minoxidil. My doctor said that microneedling wouldn't be useful to me because I don't use any topical products.

Hi Doc,
I have been using tropical minoxidil and I’m having lots of irritation on the scalp area. Please suggest me what can I do for reducing the irritation on the scalp area .!!!
I think he covered this in another vid mate recommendation was switching to the foam I think.
Or apply oil
Try the foam version , orbuy a minoxidil with less alchohol ❤
Transition to Rosemary oil
use minoxidil foam, not liquid
I combine Minoxidil 2% in the morning, 5% in the evening and micro needling 1mm once a week. I am a woman, 32 years old. Get bald over 10 years, my hair thinner and see through day by day.
Someone told me that micro needling is not good for my hair because it will make me shedding more.
I suggest you to do one long session every few weeks or so. The point is not to do it too often, you'll not gonna do as much of a damage per period and it's still gonna be highly effective.
If done too harshly it can especially at first, try some hair fibers to cover up the thinning hair

Hi - i have been using micro needling for hair loss on my scalp and crown. I have a question - does this cause scarring over time? Will that make me ineligible for hair transplant if there is some scarring on scalp? If so how to heal the scarring
No it does not cause scarring infact microneedling is used to make scars look better especially in the face , and it has no impact on hair transplant.
Derma ROLLING could cause tears and small scars and damage hair follicles but microneedling with a pen or something is fine

I've been doing that 1-3 times a week with Minoxodil and also sometimes alternating that with 0.5mm on other days and sometimes just Minoxodil without rollering. Is 1.5mm do you think too deep given I'm getting some pinpricks of blood and the day after can feel like it possibly is scabbing for a day or so slightly.. I continue to massage the scalp daily and apply Minoxodil, I've been applying it just once a day at night after derma rollering as 1ml is not enough to cover so I've been doing 2-3ml once in the evening and massaging thoroughly in scalp after derma rollering or on its own. At 1.5 mm you should only be derma rolling once a week. That's all that's needed also you have to give your skin time to heal. Wait 24 hrs after derma rolling before applying Minoxidil or anything else to your scalp... even shampoo. Just rinse with water if you have blood to wash away.
