New Stihl 261 chainsaw for construction work

I bought a Stihl MS261 C-M chainsaw for construction work. I have a very exciting renovation project coming up for which I need a dedicated chainsaw. I have other chainsaws like a Husqvarna 550XP MkII, a Husqvarna 572XP, a Stihl 024 AV Wood Boss and some others like a top handle saw for climbing. Those saws I will keep specifically for tree-work.

I don't think you'll be disappointed with this saw!
I own one and can honestly say it's a workhorse!
They also tried to sell me mine with a 20" lite 04 bar, but I made them change it to an 18" Rollomatic.
I also put a set of WestCoast Saw 3 point felling dogs on mine.

I think so neither, rips with ease. I wanted to get the @westcoastsaw1368 felling dogs, also for my Husky’s, but it’s a bit difficult unfortunately being in the EU. Hope to be able to get them at some point.

I’m very happy with my sthil 261 cm and I have a 20” bar on it and I have a 18” and it works great there is no lagging or bogging down and all that you need to do is change it from summer to winter and vice versa 👍 here in Ireland they only provide one felling dog on the saw so I had to buy a set of dogs for the saw as the shop where I bought it doesn’t sell them 😭

Yes same here in Italy. I bought the felling dogs separate too!
