Many chainsaws are practically equivalents. This 353 is a model that many prefer over a Stihl depending on the particular use. In some situations, a disassemble and clean fixes the machine, but I saw new bearings, spark plug, new blade and chain, and altered pieces to make stronger. Please be respectful.
Chain on backwards, you DON'T use an impact to tighten the plug because you could strip it out and you DEFINATELY DON'T use scooter engine oil for bar and chain lubrication or you WILL burn up the bar and chain in no time, you use bar and chain oil

Chain ether went on backward or hee's running the saw to rich, to much oil in the mix, that was some amount of smoke from the exhaust, even though that saw hasen't started for a lo g ti.e...and it definetly was comming from the exaust.....
