    What an important topic!! How is this not being talked about everywhere?? We waste sooo much water. Thank you for speaking up on this, James!! Also, what a stellar suit!!

    He makes such a great point when he says what right do we have to be flushing drinkable water down the toilet

    Yes! These are the kinds of solutions we need, things that everyday people can implement that have a big impact!

    This talk is amazing! I can tell this guy is so soooo passionate and now I MUST KNOW - where I can get my potty designed to recycle water using the ShowerPot? So cool how this was a demo! Thanks James Peters - WATER IS LIFE

    It's always so shocking to me the disregard people have for water. I've seen people using the hose on their driveways like to move leaves instead of using a broom and it boils my blood

    What's crazy is this is the clean drinking water issue could be solved right now if those with all the wealth and power actually cared to make it a reality

    Really not surprised to hear how inefficient the system is, I feel like our whole society just implemented stuff and never thought about how it would work long term

    I was really surprised to hear that the water need quadrupled with the population doubling... I wonder what about our lifestyles changed so much to make that happen?

    Very inspirational. I've learned a lot from James and it has certainly helped my family & I become more aware of how much we can be either wasteful or powerful agents of change, even in the simplest ways. I also like the Recycling Bins for Water idea, and hope to see this be more normalized in cities!

    I often think about how much better the world could be if we thought about these things 40 years ago, so many structures and institutions that need improving but probably will never get it because it's too ingrained now

    Growing up we relied on the rain water that was collected from the roof of our house and stored in huge green tanks. In summer it was a daily routine to knock on the side of the tanks to see how much water we had left.

    I used to work in a tech store and once served a couple who wanted to buy an ipad. When I asked what they were using it for the guy said "she wants it to watch netflix in the shower." My jaw hurt from dropping so far and I said, "you mean the bath, right?" They did not mean the bath. I was in disbelief for the rest of the sale. I don't understand how people can be so unaware.

    There needs to be a shift in our attitude towards it as well. We think because using water has always been as easy as turning on the tap that it means it's not precious or limited

    Cities that become water bankrupt... I think that's something that's a unique experience and probably why many don't take it seriously. If you've been there, you never wanna go back.

    I don't know that I'd be comfortable using the shower water for drinking - even just the start of it, but it would be great to use in the garden or even for doing the dishes! That's where I feel most guilty about wasting water

  • @anndibsdale
    @anndibsdale 25 днів тому

  • @Bee-Trek
