I remember a buddy of mine bragging about getting these back in '01. He wouldn't shut up about them and we were so jealous. Then game time comes around and he can't move for shit in these bricks. Good times, great shoes! hahaha

I remember playing in these. Nike tricked me cuz the way Vince was jumping out of the gym those days, I could have sworn the energy return would be great. Very durable kicks I will say. Im still waiting for Nike to retro the 2001/02 Air Jet Flight with the straps that Dirk & Nash used to wear. Cant wait for them the come back. Great work NW!

Nike Air Jet Flight- man, I missed out on these when they originally came out, but these were sick! Nash actually opted to wear these for an extra season or 2 even though Nike had another shoe for him that year. Great guard shoe that looked really light & 1-to-1. I've tried to find these everywhere- eBay, etc. No luck. Really hope Nike protros these soon. They look like they'd be bangers even today. Let's make it happen!

Played in these tonight, needs a bit of break in but I loved them! I also used to ball in Shox VC 1 and I loved them too. It's heavy compare to today's standards but traction is great, also very solid and I felt like I was 19 again! (I'm 35 now.)
Owned a pair of these in the early 2000s... so comfortable, the leather and materials locked your foot in so snug... yes they were heavy but it was an era where that didnt matter.. it was a real flex to have shox. Surprised they're back.
I've had a couple SHOX during high school and college. It always felt like Timberland's. Very stiff heels. I wore it, because I believed the hype that they were supposed to be springy, but they had the worst cushion of any Nike shoe I've worn.
I used to hoop in these when I was 11-14 years old. Brings back great memories !! :)

These were so hard to get down in Argentina in the 2000s! Always wanted them and finally got my hands on a white silver navy pair. Man... I just love em. And yes I will try to hoop on these, they fit true to my size, the support feels great. I am aware that I might destroy my knees but I’m gonna ball in these just for the good memories

yep, copped right away and super sold out in Toronto of course. Lucky I got a pair and I will be hooping in these ha! Also VC didn't wear these a few times, he wore them for the past 2 seasons all year. Nike made a deal with him to re-make his BB4s for him to wear all year. That's when we all (Toronto VC fans) began to hope for them to release to public and finally it happened.
If it hasn’t been said enough, the conversation and onscreen chemistry with mrs wing are the best!
Last time I wore shox, I rolled my ankle so bad I was out for 9 months so I didn’t care much for the shoes haha
But definitely stayed for the conversation!
Same thing happened to me back in 2005. It wasn't this model but it was a Shox basketball model...I like the look, though

Agree! 2012 failed to retro it properly. I am surprised that the new ones is like making me feel i’m in 2000 again. Can’t wait for mine to arrive ❤️. As for the shox, I sprained both ankles day 1 wearing his VC Shox 1. But, once the material breaks in, it actually feels like any normal shoe today..or better. You can move where you want to, and doesn’t feel like 🧱

I had some of my best 🏀 games wearing several shoes from the “shox” series. These were considered light back then. I remember a super supportive shoe that lasted me 3 years. They were marketed as energy returning but I never felt that. Some of my buddies thought the shox gave them achilles tendinitis...
That's awesome that they included the original box! Honestly I love that stuff and sometimes it'll make or break a sneaker! The 3m is pretty sick too🤘
I tried playing lacrosse in these and I made it through two practices. They are insane ankle breakers
I remember my OG pair in the black/silver/blue colorway. I think they ran $150 at release in 2000 so $170, I'm ok with.
Still hooping outdoors in mine. Loved these and still got the originals.

Hope they bring back the Nike Shox VC 1 next, first legit basketball shoe I owned, really stood out since they were a pretty bright silver

These shoes were my first pair of basketball shoes for Varsity. I loved these shoes. I’m buying these shoes as soon as I can find them. Also...wtf man! Wear them! Wear test them!! Yeah but they have great stability. Never rolled my ankles. I roll my ankles a lot but these were gold! Once these are broken in they are perfect. The 3M is amazing. I want these ASAP! These are like foamposits once they broke in their perfect

I played in the VC 4 and 5s in HS. I always wondered what the deal with the 'shox' was too because they don't actually do anything. But it was VC so they were a must have for me. Still have the 5s but would never play in them again.
I bought these online on Sunday... I don't play basketball anymore, but I had to do it hahaha. Just saw them on footlocker web page and felt great nostalgia I guess 🤗

hope they bring back the shoxx nz back too !!! stands out more then boost and react and does not wear down as fast as air.easier to clean too.

These were awesome to play in after they broke in.
I remember having these as a kid and these were definitely some of the most painful shoes to wear, looked hella dope but didn't wear them too often cuz how hard they beat up the feet.

Chris and Mrs Chris, I still own the originals and can still play in them even after re-gluing the outsoles back. I have the the black silver 2000 and black white ones 2002. They are very comfortable and wraps around my feet perfectly. Fit is good, cushioning, grip and ankle support. Highly recommended to ballers to wear them! If you are worried about the shox part of the shoe, don't ever worry, you will see after you have being playing in them. It's great! And you wonder how is Vince still able to perform at age 42? He uses 2 different types nerve painkillers before game lmao! xD

I wore these way back in its heyday...hope they would release a protro version, i.e. try to encase react/ cushlon/ lunarlon inside the polyurethane columns for a more forgiving cushion at the heel.

oh man i remember shox, always looked dope but my first pair one of the shox ripped right down the middle and were unwearable within like a month maybe 2, i never bought another pair after that

I remember I got the BLK grey and red in 10th grade over the BLK cement 3s.
My first ever nike shoe is a jermain o'neal shox shoe. I was shocked with the look of the shoe and begged my parents to buy one for me.
I had the VC1 and still have the VC2 with the full-length shox...they were super-bouncy right out of the box! The Shox cushioning on the 2002 Stunner though...hard a.f.!!! :-(

lol as a raptors fan, he was actually labeled injury prone with longevity issues in his first few years (hah). Pretty sure these shoes have something to do with that
I had the 2nd Shox you showed. I tried playing in them back then and immediately said no. If they could update the shox look with an actual foam, that might change my impression of them.

Btw, the OG Olympic colorway and the black silver colorway were suppose to be released by now, but as Nike always disappoints, they delayed/tanked. While the white navy Olympic pair’s new release is not updated, the black silver pair is delayed to September. Let’s just pray that we can get one of them.
The Black Sliver pair is released oversea already, I am living in Hong Kong and I cop a pair.

Purchased a pair of the low top shox took a while for them to break in once they break in they arent a bad shoe but that break in period resulted in a few painful days. My feet were killing me
