As a wide footer I'd say go true to size. Still wearing my breds however many years later. The only thing I've had to do was reglue a couple of sole panels in the past couple years. They are durable and comfortable, but they will probably sit on shelves like the originals did. I can't remember what original retail was for these, but I got most of mine for around $80 at non-outlet stores. If you can wait them out the price will drop.

I have every GR colorway of the 4, and, other than those TPU tabs on the ankle straps getting brittle and cracking off, they're all still perfectly wearable. Nike needs to retro more colorways, and they need to retro the LeBron 5 and 6, the Soldier 1-4, and the Zoom Power while they're at it. Ken Link was every bit the visionary shoe designer that Tinker Hatfield was, his work deserves more respect from Nike.
I like Ken Link's design language over David Petrie because he wouldn't place a big swoosh on the side panel of every design. His swoosh placement was more uniquely placed and not overtly big on the shoe.
Had 3 pairs back in the day. The rubber parts did not age well. I opened a box years later after storing and it was like the rubber melted like a candy in the sun. 😅 These are mad comfy and supportive, but heaviest pair on feet. Near impossible to re-lace easily. Such a true premium tier LeBron, the quality on these were next level, worth LeBron prices. I'm wide, true to size imo, but can be hard to get into, there's room there once you get inside.
I remember when the Lebron started dropping in different regions but Ohio would get all of em. I copped the black and the white pair. Still have both and the white pair is still fresh these just run too big. I wear a 13 but I’m 5’8 and they look like titanics on my feet 🤣 one of the best Nikes and crazy durable

Cushion was excellent though, I remember them running a bit long, but fit was snug. I also hated how the velcro ruined the laces lol. The traction was super sticky. Nice to see them back

Would’ve been cool though if this was double stacked. Zoom under the strobel board and then also with the drop in midsole.

These actually surprised me. Im a pretty powerful guy so weight of shoes doesnt really bother me. The traction and cushion are fantastic. These hold up to this day in performance and theyve actually gotten better and better as the Foamposite shapes
Also if the Lebron 9 Big Bangs sat for AEONS at this same price point I can only imagine how long these & Jordan 17s for $300 (LOL) will b sitting like a grandmother knitting

One of those super cool shoes that I would like to have it as soon as it's on the shelf. It's super comfortable with awesome protection, but you can't play too long with this shoe as it's super heavy as well.

I still have the „bred“ IVs from 2006. I’m a widefooter and went true to size, but it’s a very tight fit. The insole is really great…but the shoe is a brick…so heavy and clunky…makes you feel like RoboCop walking around! 😅

I have a pair of the originals in the black/red colorway. I broke them out & tried to play in them a few years later… and those strips on the outsole started peeling off. I’m not saying they were cheaply made… I’m just saying that once they start to age, that outsole will start to peel off. With all that being said, I played tons of games in the OG & can’t wait to pick up the graffiti pair!!!

They are not the same as the old ones. The old ones were heavy and had bounce with the full length zoom but the new ones suck
