@@louisjbarnett just found a game that was popular but not alot of streamers are on it, little advice for you, play games with less than 7 streamers playing it at any given time because once you are in that catagory for hours playing that game, those other streamers above you may need to take care of some things in their real lives and log out and as they log out one by one, those viewers will get funneled into your stream since youll be one of the few left still live, last advice piece to this puzzle is, go live for at least 12 hours or more a day in the chosen catagories i explained above, goodluck and takecare

I do alot if these things. Probably could work on the watching my own stream. What I struggle with is having people stay and talk regardless of what I play . I could be doing community events and still struggle to have people actually talk in the stream ! The steps are good to review though thanks for the video

First thing you should always ask when picking a game, is if you enjoy the game. Then can you do stuff every other streamer isn't doing in that game?

I have done most of those things, I usually stream on a Sunday, I struggle to get 2 average viewers. I have made friends and had a few raids max 15 people I think, and I am going to be part of a raid train soon but I hope to reach affiliate before then

I have 3 phones and vpn that I lurk on my own stream. Its not a long-term growth strategy but it keeps me out of those 1 viewer weeds
old video but yes, you did forget something, if you are really wanting people to see you live on a game have your name in front "ttv" then your name // also had a question, this is the end of the month count for me , but within the past few days i saw my viewer go to 5 , but still says 1.27 so whats going on.. do i just have to wait until the month is up or do they need to stay in the stream for a while
My achievements for my path to affiliate have been the same for 3 days but each time the stream has been better

It's an average of the current active viewers. If you stream for 1 hour and have 1 viewer for 30 minutes and then 3 viewers for 30 minutes, your average would be 2 viewers for the hour stream.

how do i do it the right way of letting people know i am a streamer it sucks no a days to be a streamer i do tic tok youtube and instagram so none of them are following me to twitch only like 1 at twitter and 2 on instagram and 8 from youtube . non of them join my streams is 3pm florida eastern time the bad time to stream .

I accidentally networked on a streamers stream I just mentioned that of course he started his stream at the same time as me. Also he has a self promo tab in his disc so I got 2 followers from it

The volume can be low. But make sure they do not have you muted through twitch. They can mute the entire browser though

@@matthewprice756 no, for example, if you have 1 viewer for 1 hour, but 3 viewers last 30 mins you will have an average of two, i'd say it's pretty much basic math

Up to you, but the biggest thing is you'll just need more people in you're streams
So my average viewers were 2.6 and I had a stream where I had 4.4 and I went down to a average 2.5 😐 it doesn’t make sense
May be cos the 30 day roll over one of ur streams might’ve had a good avg viewer thing that is just outside ur 30day parameter

you will only lose it if you do not stream in a period of 12 months

its counts an average of ALL your streams from the current day plus 29 days backwards.

It’s how much they actually watch like say if you put your stream on your phone and your new and go for let say 2 it would probably go up to 1.0 just depends on how much each person watches like people could be leaving and joking back and that’s why

What about hosts and raiding ?
I don't view hosts and raiding as a facto for growth for a few reasons. One is that it's not in your control on who raids you. And secondly they usually give a boost for that specific time but the people tend to rarely come back even if they follow.
Does 3 average viewers mean you can literally just have 3 viewers throughout your whole stream? And it would come as 3 average ? Or would you need more?
its an average, meaning it works exactly how averages work. but it counts all your streams for the past 30 days
30 day rolling average. If you have 1 viewer for half of your stream and then 5 for the second half it would be an average of 3. One way to boost is if you have 2 computers. You can run the stream on both pc's and it will count as 2 viewers as long as they aren't muted. The volume has to be at least at 1% to count as a viewer.

also i have a following on youtube like 61 subs but none of them are going to my streams even though i tell them too i was told that youtube subscribers hate twitch will not have a twitch so that is why it is hard for me to get a viewers or regulars coming i do post on twitter and Instagram but again getting no followers
62 subs isn't really a following, that is relatively nothing on youtube. Even 2k is relatively nothing on youtube. No platform has a 100% conversion rate, most the time you're looking at around 5% being the top conversion if you're lucky.

Some may also be bots. For awhile I would get 10 bots that would show up to farm follows.

Run your stream in the background and leave the volume to 1%. If you have a second pc watch the stream on that one as well. Now you have 2 viewers.

So its an average of the current viewers you have. If you stream for 4 hours and for 2 hours you have 1 viewer and the other 2 hours you have 3 viewers then the average for that stream is 2 viewers.
