Minecraft is a sandbox game developed by Mojang Studios. In Minecraft, players explore a blocky, procedurally generated 3D world with virtually infinite terrain and may discover and extract raw materials, craft tools and items, and build structures, earthworks, and simple machines. Depending on their chosen game mode, players can fight hostile mobs, as well as cooperate with or compete against other players in the same world. Game modes include a survival mode and a creative mode. There is also a wide variety of user-generated content, such as modifications, servers, skins, texture packs, and custom maps, which add new game mechanics and possibilities.

Hardcore Minecraft took years off my life

The editing to Kevin’s voice in different areas always pleases me
This is my first time noticing it and it’s actually so creative
it’s so satisfying
it’s a little thing but makes the video so much better
I actually can't stand it, don't know why, maybe because of my hearing, but i can't focus on his voice when doing it
@@llamaduden3397I’m with you. I find it unnecessary and distracting
@@Briggleton Yes i get it's a funny release, but it's overdone and I can't focus
As a casual Minecraft speedrunner watching Kevin get an unbelievably good speedrun seed and constantly stumble into great odds without realizing it brings me both joy and immense pain.
Man brought only 8 eyes to the portal and just happened to have enough…
This seed is cracked mangrove jungle next to a jungle biome, next to a village with two blacksmiths a near fortress and a 5 eye. According to Google a 5 eye is a 1 in 264 chance I speedrun too, and the most eyes I saw was a 4 eye.
When he was disappointed that the stronghold was ocean exposed I figured all the speedrunners would die inside, but looking back the whole seed is good yeah
Also at 34:41 theres a sea monument
@@randomnpc731 LOL no it's not. You clearly don't know nearly as much as you want to pretend you do. He just used a set seed, which he never claimed not to. If he wanted to cheat he would have used the hacks to respawn even on Hardcore and go ahead and win.
You're also ignoring the fact a lot of the videos s cut so he's not finding stuff nearly as fast as it looks.
@@EighmyLupinthis is Kevin we are talking about, I really doubt he bothers to set a seed to help him plus I doubt he even knows how to change the seed of the world, he barely plays Minecraft after all
Kevin playing is like watching a grandpa play, not because he does stuff slow or is bad at it, but because his dementia is getting to him and he's fascinated by everything 😊
He's deep in character as a lost old man.
It's amnosia
I read this comment and then he got fascinated by a sound after trying to get home...mind-blowing truly.
He has become one with Jim Pickens persona
His Jim pickins persona is creeping in.
Can't believe boats are still the best proof that Kevin is a military genius. the Boat carried this run lmao
He should have brought boats instead of snowballs to the end. And maybe also empty the bucket of water on high ground. It was a GREAT attempt though. Last time I played Hardcore Minecraft, I kept dying to witches. It was when they were new to the game.
kevin forgetting reoccurring facts about a game he's played for over 10 years is hilarious but also its very impressive that he even succeeded in any challenge
It’s not forgetting. He’s pretending because it’s more entertaining. I don’t criticise him for that
@@alexkrycek3359 idk man, back when I was playing LoL for hours a day, I'd genuinely forget about items or characters from time to time

-Goes to y12 to find diamonds
-Plants pumpkins with barely any space for them to grow
-Puts full faith in 8 eyes being enough for the portal
-Doesn't realize that mobs with helmets won't burn in sun
-Thinks anvils don't work because he put the items in the wrong order (and tried to put impaling on a bow)
This is why I love Kevin's Minecraft stuff.
top 3 player in the world obv
wait why is y12 bad did they change the spawn level or something
@@autisticgod3338 y12 only worked before the Caves and Cliffs update. They spawn in larger numbers closer to level -54 now
Uses his last diamond to mave a shovel instead of an enchanting table
@@autisticgod3338 Yeah, the ore spawns got reworked in Caves and Cliffs, diamonds now spawn much deeper and are much less likely to spawn exposed to air. Now the best places to find them are right above bedrock level (which is now y=-64) and in water-filled caves.
GRAVEL FACT: Almost any rock can be used to make gravel, but the most common rocks are sandstone, limestone, and basalt

GRAVEL FACT: Almost any rock you find, once properly tumbled and polished, will look absolutely beautiful.
Cool. Well if I ever get married, I know where I'm getting the stone. A random gravel driveway.
this is such a girl fact I love it
Alright, but you added an 'almost' in there. Do you have an example of an exception, or were you just covering your bases and avoiding an absolute statement? Genuine question, because now I'm curious if there's a rock out there that's so ugly that not even polishing can help it.
@@kenjutsukata1o1 Some rocks are porous (like pumice) and, while it's all a matter of opinion, I wouldn't imagine a rock like that would ever look all that pretty. Maybe they could look "not gross", but I couldn't imagine looking at pumice and thinking "oooh wow, that's gorgeous!"
@@kenjutsukata1o1 just covering my bases! :) ♥️ I’m not knowledgeable enough about it to know for sure, but from what I’ve researched I’ve gathered that most can, as long as they aren’t too soft or hard. If they are very soft or hard they need special care to look beautiful and can’t just be tumbled, so softer minerals like sandstone could be be gently ground down and hand polished, but they won’t form a super smooth stone or reveal a gemstone like rocks with quartz in them can. It’s hard to find a definitive answer online but I think the answer is still yes. Lol.
To quote one of my favorite movies:
“I don’t really know more than what I’ve already said, and some of what I said I’m not sure I actually even know.” 😂
I just want to applaud Kevin's editor(s) for always being dedicated to applying the underwater effect to Kevin's voice every time he goes under the water surface. 😂 It makes me giggle so much. Thank you!

This game has changed so much since I’ve played it I swear the game has gotten slightly easier
I can’t believe he got all the way to the end, destroyed almost if not all the crystals and then proceeded to be slain by the one thing he has been slaughtering the most. It’s almost poetic in a way

Gravel comes in various types based on the composition of its rock fragments. Common types include crushed stone gravel, pea gravel, river rock gravel, and crushed granite gravel

It's the fact that he continues to not know so much about the game, I think. Most Minecraft youtubers know the game back to front, so Kevin's lack of knowledge makes his runs very unpredictable, lol. Plus he's Kevin, so that adds an extra layer of fantastic.
@@kenjutsukata1o1 it's the joy of fresh knowledge and exploration. like back in 1.1 when I first picked it up I think

That gravel fact is very true

Gravel can also be used in a mix with fertilizer for plants like succulents and cacti to help aerate the roots and prevent root rot :)
Remembering that Kevin didn’t know what the warden was in his one chunk challenge is just funny to me

Gravel fact. You can tower up the way you did, break the bottom one and quickly place a torch beneath it to not only break it all but get a chance at flint. Doesn't break the torch and saves time
Actually tried this in a world once, then when it didn’t work I looked it up. It doesn’t actually work, you have to manually break each block.
@@smileyface81mc77 Really? It's worked for me in the past. Maybe it was patched out. Flint is also a stupid low drop rate

To be fair it's a good way to remember which rooms you've explored. I know about the buttons and still break the doors or the blocks next to them for that reason
It physically hurt me to listen to him complaining about not having enough torches after having just burnt down a library full of wood. XD
its always a pleasant time when kevin uploads minecraft videos, cant wait to see how he torments the mobs and/or inconveniences himself by accident
I’ve noticed when I play Minecraft now, I always seek out a village right away, otherwise the world feels so sad and lonely. I don’t really do multiplayer, but I still need the companionship of the Squidwards at least.
It’s been a while since I enjoyed watching Kevin cause chaos in Minecraft and I love to see the return of his boat strategy, truly Kevin is the greatest military genius of our time. Also I really miss Paul the dog.
Real talk, along with his Sims series his Minecraft One Chunk challenge series is a huge favorite that I rewatch at least once every six months or so. It's a certified Kevin classic. I do wish he'd continue some of his other Minecraft challenges though (like the sky bottles or the one block thing).
We can't deny that his accuracy with the Bow was amazing on its own right.
Oh my God finally something to feed my CallmeKevin Minecraft addiction. I’ve rewatched all minecraft videos 50 times 😀 needed this. Its my therapy
Gravel Fact: The Udden-Wentworth scale, widely used by geologists in the US, defines granular gravel as particles with a size from 2 to 4 mm (0.079 to 0.157 in) and pebble gravel as particles with a size from 4 to 64 mm (0.16 to 2.52 in).
Whenever Kevin uploads a Minecraft video my day immediately gets better
Seeing Kevin happy about having ,,enough" blaze rods when he was one short will get me every time xD
This season of Hermitcraft should end with Kevin coming in as a guest and just absolutely destroying everything “by accident”.
Gravel fact! Your tower method would have worked much more quickly if you broke the bottom block and replaced it with a torch instead of breaking all the blocks individually, as the torch breaks falling blocks.
You wont get flint when you use that method!
@@aarondoull5913I do not remember the content of the video as it has been half a year since I watched it. But I presume if I stated he could use a torch, than he would've been gathering the gravel to clear out a space or use the gravel as gravel. You are correct that gravel broken as a falling block does not have a chance to produce gravel.
minecraft videos by kevin are the only ones i can genuinely enjoy. his sense of humor is too good for this earth and he makes everything chaotic. it’s great.
When I go caving in minecraft, I always put torches on the left side of the cave so if I need to leave the cave, I just follow the torches on my right. It's a good strat for keeping some semblance of direction while underground. Maybe a pro-tip for you Kevin. Let me know if it helps.
My jaw dropped when he sailed past the ocean monument looking for snow... Gotta love him

Kevin is a HARDCORE military genius
just so you know, the spawn table for water in a swamp contains zero hostile mobs. It's one of the safest places in the game other than a mushroom biome
Watching Kevin for so a while you start to notice the subtle little details he sprinkles in due to his great editing
As a fairly new Minecraft player who is also a coward (so I haven't finished the game,) this video showed the most stronghold footage I've seen. It was really interesting to watch Kevin rediscover his way through the stronghold to the portal room.

Kevin passed 3 sheep AND stole a bed while visiting 5 distinct locations... and he STILL ended up having to burrow into a hillside at midnight!
Fun gravel fact:
Just place a torch underneath for the gravel to fall on to instead of using a shovel
It's funny, because he also unsafely jumped off the tower and tried mining it from the bottom. If he'd used the torch technique, it would have been much faster. However! Since he did NOT use that technique, it would have been faster mining from the top downward. If you mine from the bottom, like he did, you have to wait for the falling animation with each block mined instead of just speed-mining from the top all the way down. XD

Gravel fact: Alluvial fans, fanned out deposits in lower concentration spreading from high concentrations of sediments (classified as conglomerates when over 30% of the geologic material are gravel that has been lithified into solid rock) can be most commonly found in mountainous terrain receiving lots of rainfall, and also can be found near glaciers. These alluvial fans likely contain the largest accumulations of gravel in the geologic record. These cool areas containing solid rock and high concentration of lithified gravel include conglomerates of the Triassic basins of eastern North America and the New Red Sandstone of south Devon.

Minecraft Gravel Fact: In Minecraft gravel can be broken by falling on a single torch.
