First of all, you both are a great team! I love watching you both go places and figure out things together. This episode was one of my favs. You kept it calm and amazing in a stressful environment!!
Oh I so understand Jaime... Anytime you have an auctioneer controlling arrivals it's not good. LOL! Just the constant yakking drives me nuts. I think I would land somewhere else, rent a car, and stay in a hotel not camping. Yeah I'm a pampered princess. Hahaha! But I gotta say Kev, that was a way greasy landing!
Whew! Kevin & Jamie, what a great VID! No doubt that was nerve racking but you guys did a superb job! You had me on the edge of my seat! :-) Thanks again. Don
Outstanding guys!...those Dilythium crystals you installed in the 310 really paid off, lol. That was truly an "E" ticket ride (Disneyland sold you tickets for rides back in the 50's & 60's, A thru E's and the E was for the harriest rides).
Geez! The busiest airports in the world are saner than this mess. This is the second "Sun n Fun" video where it was just nuts. Jamie, you are the best warning system out there. Wish modern avionics systems included as highly tuned stress algorithm as you.
Ha ha...some truth to that. The busiest airports like ORD/ATL all the planes for the most part are similar type all at the same speeds and spaced nicely on 3 parallel runways. These events push more planes an hour than those airports and Sun n Fun has 1 runway and OSH at least has 2. :) Love having her with me to help during times like these...and the simple boring flights as well.
@@310Pilot So true. You do this. Then you do that. And then you are on the ground. It's all a well-organized, highly-tuned, beautiful dance. You and Jamie are at an advantage being ATCs yourself. I kind of believe that all pilots should have to do time as ATCs. Get an ATC badge sewn into their log book. It's a perspective almost all pilots lack.
Great job you two! It’s not everyday you get to practice formation flying with that many pilots you (most likely) don’t know not to mention landing on a taxiway and nailing your orange dot! It’s wonderful when it works and yes, kudos to those in the tower coordinating the chaos safely! Thank you for sharing! 👍👍
Outstanding job! You two make a very effective crew. Jaime's confidence is growing, compared to your earlier videos--and her radio communication skills are excellent.
Jeez, guys. I get stressed out just watching this! Great work. I flew commercial down. RV 10 out of Zephyr Hills on the way back. WAY less stressful (but not as much fun!). ;)
It's a special events ATC procedure. To my knowledge it's only used at Sun n Fun and EAA AirVenture up at Oshkosh every year. They have a lot of planes to get on the ground safely in a short amount of time. :)
Dude's... If I had a pace maker it would have went of several times in that mess... Great team work and Jamie... Way to hang in there... Thanks for the ride guys n girls... Till next time. Itssss greaaaate.
@@310Pilot kinda saw you squirming a bit to my friend. I would have been really uptight on that as well. Any ways great adventure on this one. Later my friend.
You're welcome Chuck! Turns out I could have made a quick right turn after the dot I landed on but I had too much speed and didn't realize it was a short cut at the time. Next time I'll be sure to hit that. :)

Thank you Brenda...glad you enjoyed it! Never been to Winter Haven but it looks pretty with all the lakes. Maybe one of these days we'll make it down. :)
COOOOOOWAL. Good job. No dorks invited. I'm not sure what is more stressful, Sun n Fun or some of the microlight fests here in the UK where, sometimes, there's seems to be competition to get to the threshold first.
WTH.... that is theeee craziest reporting of a controller that I have ever heard in my life, WOW. No wonder she was stressed out. Other then that thanks again for sharing. Great video. Keep em coming.
Not sure she was as stressed as Oshkosh arrival but the pattern was intense. I had watched a video previously of arrivals I think Niko and it was definitely not for the faint of heart. As usual the controllers were on their “A” game both in and out of the plane.
Thank you Ed! Not for the faint of heart is right. You for sure would want to be very comfortable with the airplane you are flying when you go to one of these events. They did a great job sorting it all out and getting us in safely. :)
You guys did great, but the controllers, damn, what a incredible job! Ground crew needed a little work. But, that's ok. Probably volunteers, doing what they can.
Thank you William! Everybody at these events does a great job of dealing with the number of planes that go in and out in such a short amount of time. :)
Thank you....love having her help on flights like these (all flights really)! :) That is what they do during the event there. The taxiway become 9L and that is where everyone lands except the jets and war birds.
After many trips into OSH over the years, these kinds of events/approaches will not be as much fun anymore, trust me on this one. Enjoy the excitement as long as you can.
I'm sure it may fade for me but for now, I'm really enjoying these large fly-ins. Of course if I had to hold on the lake for a couple hours with double the planes there I may have a different feeling. :)
Thanks for the reply, Jaime being an air traffic controller certainly explains her expertise on the radio, and thats probably been quite a lot of help for you with Jaime knowing the ATC system, and to your reply about being a lucky man I would say yes you are, she's not only Gorgeous but smart as well, Is she a tower controller or an ATC facility controller?
That was pretty intense , was the long hold due to a plane that the front gear had collapsed? I heard the sirens when they were talking. I was on the ground watching all that take place. Awesome video guys once again , love the real life experience it shows.
Glad you enjoyed it James!! I'm not sure what caused our hold or the one as we were approaching from the north. I thought they said ours was for a demo flight or something and the preceding one was an incident. Must have been the nose gear collapse?
@@310Pilot It could have been. My wife and I really enjoyed this video, my wife looks at me and said "you wanna fly into one of these shows? " These guys are ATC and it was tough for them" I said yes it will be fun! I didn't convince her lol
Jeepers guys... WELL DONE..!!! Nice spot landing Kev.
Kudos to those controllers. Thanks a mill for sharing.
You're very welcome Kimi!! The controllers did a great job getting all of us in and out safely there. :)
Holy airplanes !!!!!! My palms were sweating just watching. Great job you two. I would still be flying around that darn lake.
Ha ha...thank you Rick! It was fun to take a couple laps but I was happy to be set free from the lake. :)
Love that so many people recognize you! Great video and great team work on the pattern and landing!
Thank you! It's pretty neat and we are still getting used to being recognized in the aviation circles. :)
The most outstanding part of this exciting video was "her voice" on the radio. 🤗

Thank you! I know several people do just that and land at the surrounding airports and drive in. I enjoy the process ...as strange as that sounds. :)
Whew! Kevin & Jamie, what a great VID! No doubt that was nerve racking but you guys did a superb job! You had me on the edge of my seat! :-) Thanks again. Don
Thank you Don...glad you enjoyed it!!!
I was stressed just watching. Kudos to the controller on the ground. The turbulence added to the fun. Great video Kevin.
I can't imagine being the person on the ground trying to keep control of this circus
They did a great job keeping us safe there Robert! :)
@@310Pilot Yes. That was amazing. They could be auctioneers in their spare time too !
@@310Pilot They did a wonderful job. I can only imagine how stressful that job might be.
I don’t blame her stress. Her man DEFINITELY forgot to do his research before a big event. Time to move on girl 😄

Jamie has to be so excited about Oshkosh after that!
Not sure if excited is the right word. :) She's a trooper though...I'm excited about it. :)
Im with her...the hell with that! Anxiety wouldbe through the roof!

And that’s why I drive to fly-ins‼️
Ha ha...not for everyone for sure Asher. :)
Follow he leader. Aww. Nothing like a good dose of stress.

Flew in many times and can understand why a passenger and pilots find it stressful

"Oh you nailed that orange dot." You really did. This video was stressful just watching from my easy chair. Fantastic job.
Looked like a blast!

What kind of approach/landing procedure is this? I'm not a pilot but have never heard instructions anything remotely similar.
