Agreed, we’ve all been there!! It’s been a tough year for you too between your foot, back, neck, head!! Just take it easy this year! The post traumatic stress will go away eventually, it just takes time! The putter wounds heal a lot faster than the inner ones. ❤❤❤

It's p.t.s.d., it will go away after some time!! I didn't believe in p.t.s.d until it happened to me someone pulled out in front of me while I was doing 50+ on the highway. My truck was totalled scared the dodo out of me.
For a couple months I was booty tight at any intersection stop sign basic the whole time I was driving. And then one day it went away!!😊

Thanks for sharing the "process" so openly Koa - At your level, that kind of event would definitely make you think twice about the level of intensity....and risk involved.... and whether or not it could get in the way of doing something you love so much. My experience... the "hesitancy" will pass over time. Even if it doesn't... we'll watch anyway :)
The helmet that cut McNamera is out as far as I would be concerned. If Koa Smith's softie actually works, that would be my choice as goofy as it looks. Obviously, personal preference. Great right barrel after the break - you're getting all the way back!

Koa - I just got your tan ‘This is Livin’ shirt and it’s sooo soft! Thanks for the stickers too! However, I’m not sure about the new Logos?? The red TIL one reminds me of the THL logo. I’m not sold on either design to be honest. You already had a great logo so why the change? I’m a huge fan and would never say anything bad so I hope you don’t get mad at me. I come from a Marketing background and I just wanted to tell you the truth. I think it’s way too soon to re-brand and if/when you do I’m even less sure about these designs. One other thing is you wanna bring in the ladies surfers too. Maybe adding some pink or other soft colors might help you to bring in more revenue as well. I love ya Koa and I only spoke up because I want to help you!! If you need any help in the marketing dept feel free to ask! You are a gentle soul from what I see on your channel, which is why I love you! You seem like such a sweet, honest, genuine soul and it shines through when you’re surfing as well! Finally decided to try lmnt electrolytes 🤙 I’m gluten free dairy free and sugar free by choice just because I feel so much better 🤙❤️✝️ excited to see how that stuff helps with fasting and stuff too. Look at the professional bull riders, 90 percent of them wear helmets now. However, the guys that wear there cowboy hats are still the most bad ass. Just do whatever makes you feel comfortable and you'll surf your best with high confidence.
Crunched my head on the reef a couple of years back and was pretty rattled for a very hot minute, still have some thoughts about it, but that feeling in the water will wear off heaps over time. It only just happened and you're still recovering. Job's right mate, play on.

It's called ptsd it takes time to get over and it sounds like u r on your way . But when u think it's gone it can pop back up. Just takes time u r mentally and physically strong person u will get over it

Getting used to things that change is hard but also normal. Every year when the seasons change I go from not wearing boots and a hood to wearing boots and a hood and it takes me a few surfs to get used to it. If you persevere with a helmet at first it will feel weird as fck then in while it will feel weird not wearing it.
