@@DIY_Projects_Tech I don’t know to be honest. I’ve never thought of checking it as an individual piece of kit. My energy bills haven’t gone up unexpectedly so it can’t be using that much.
@@Greyotterstudio cheers mate. To be fair they look quite good, it’s burned the coloured layer off and it’s much neater than my scribble being on it. Thanks for watching
@@Blondie7676 I measure the book then create a square on the picture in light burn. Use the frame button to trace the out edge. When your happy you have that set right turn the outer line off in light burn. Hope that helps and thanks for watching.
Nice one Ross! I have two lasers, an ortur and an Xtool. The Ortur isn't very powerful so I only use it for engraving. The Xtool on the other hand is a 20 watter and does a good job of cutting. The Xtool comes with it's own, quite capable (to me) software. I use lightburn for the Ortur. Anyway Ross, keep up the good work. All the best.
Thank Brian. I like the look of the xtool lasers and I’ve never heard a bad thing about them. I wouldn’t mind upgrading to one, but then again I want a CNC 🤦♂️. I always seem to want another tool! Thanks for watching Brian and I hope you had a good festive season.
@@thaddyss thanks for watching. I use spray paints from Amazon amzn.to/4fLqxe8 But being honest any spray paint will do. If you want a protected finish then apply a coat of clear lacquer when the paint is dry. amzn.to/4jeI8ym
The online markets are saturated with copycat products that lack originality. I purchased my lasers to create unique products, not to start a side hustle and have pricing wars with my competitors in an already asses to elbows farts & craps…sorry, arts & crafts market that’s brimming with the same useless crap that bored soccer moms impulse buy on Etsy after one too many glasses of Cabernet. I’ll starve to death before I start engraving Yeti tumblers and seasonal merchandise for the Martha Stewart clones.
I appreciate the straight to the point no nonsense feedback! I’m certainly not computer generated, the quality of my output would probably be much better and I wouldn’t get so tongue tied trying to do the commentary. Can you narrow down which part it was that made you think of your genitals? I’m alway keen for view feedback so I can improve.

Your welcome. Thank you for watching.
Awesome video! I had no idea about that box-making site-definitely going to check it out for my future projects. Thanks for sharing!

Great bit of kit and interesting does it use a lot of energy?😊

Great info, as I’m just getting started on lasering, especially the box making site

What type of material did you use for cutting in the first two projects?
@@peteraick amzn.to/3W5gCcH
It’s 2mm ply.
The quality is ok but every now and then you get a bad sheet. There are plenty of other online supplier too.
Great video, thanks!
