This will help so many people we done for the video. It's well entertaining as all your videos are coll keep pouring and all the best for the new year🎉
Hey Rory! hope you are well, happy new year my friend, yeah very interesting this stuff, just working on a new method which may open up a lot of other things which are possible to do and cast in silver :)
@@SilverPunkPour exactly what I was looking for next step. Working on a pickguard for my custom jazz master. Was thinking how I could engrave an image onto a piece of aluminum, but then I saw this and 3D relief would be even cooler. Just wonder what I could expect with 3mm total. So 2mm relief.
Thank you so much! im just making a new video about this now, i do however cover it in this video here, it might be worth you checking out my friend, the time is this video is approx 15:48 for the depth map and stl file creation :) ua-cam.com/video/o2mdc0m2CQA/v-deo.htmlsi=SOgCE5HLCdJCDvfx
How does this differ from a lithophane generator ? As far as i can see, that's the same results, but with less work & time, they are free as well. Or am i missing something here.
Hey thanks for the message and cheers for watching, a great question, in my experience the lithophane generators gives you a very thin panel in .stl format so basically a very flat and thin 3d render of the picture, this is a depth map that can be used to make high relief detailed panels to carve into wood or laser engrave onto stuff or 3d print :)
Hey Legion, hope you are well, if you check some of my other videos out you will see some of the prints in use, here is a link to one of them : ua-cam.com/video/NbXDf0uuZwE/v-deo.htmlsi=b9kFdDhl0QVJ9wAF
If you can swing it a mars pro resin peinter is about 200 dollars i think and you could test print and show these for the channel. Or get someone who has one to print it. Its like a half hour print
@@legionjames1822 yes i have a Creality printer my friend, i print them out, it is a pla printer not resin, would love to try a resin one at some stage great idea, here is a link to a video of a live stream of the printer in action :) ua-cam.com/users/liveVt9G4VMCDYE?si=2kHa2xu6NO2j0xU5
I don't use photoshop, I am sorry, i just use gimp, you need to do the high pass filter then I use "Colour to Alpha" in gimp, not sure what / how to do that in PS, there maybe videos about it perhaps?
I used ChatGPT for this design in the video, but i use lots of different AI image creation models, here is a video showing my full process : ua-cam.com/video/o2mdc0m2CQA/v-deo.htmlsi=o3PaoM0g-uNTEuln

Hey Lindosgeorge! no problem at all, i hope it helps! :)
So cool. Need to watch rest of your videos for rest of process.

Oh mate they are so much fun, you have to get one if you can :)
Excellent video fella, thankyou :) new subscriber .

Great result and well explained - thanks for sharing. What AI image generator do you use?
Thank you very much, that is kind of you, I used Chatgpt for that Harley Quinn inspired design in the video, but i have used others also :)
Awesome video and info bro woww
Thank you Stu my friend, very kind buddy :)
@SilverPunkPour it's crazy how u can get it so clear that's going to make a mega cool silver pour bro 😎
thank you mate, just printed it out last night, it looks wicked, gonna make a well cool coin i think :)
@SilverPunkPour oh man that's awesome I can't wait to see that poured bro damm
Will be referring to this in the coming weeks.
Great stuff mate, can't wait to see what you come up with :)
Its all amazing to me
It took me a while to work it all out and get my head around how to do it all!
nice. how to export stl?
Thank you, i show in this video how i create and save the .stl file for free : ua-cam.com/video/o2mdc0m2CQA/v-deo.htmlsi=p_5W0GpoTR7kjfM4
@@SilverPunkPour thanks
What software did you use to create the initial bas relief image?
I use a few different AI for my image creation, it was Chatgpt for this one.

@SilverPunkPour cool man. Yea resin printing is really what you need for this silver pouring effort.
what are the steps for photoshop? because after the high pass step I am at a loss
I don't use photoshop, I am sorry, i just use gimp, you need to do the high pass filter then I use "Colour to Alpha" in gimp, not sure what / how to do that in PS, there maybe videos about it perhaps?
you can install Comfi and experiment with different depth maps and not depend on the Internet
Im not sure, something to look at I think, cheers for watching!

Thank you mate, just trying to help the 3d printers who are just starting out come up with a way of getting some cool stuff to print out :)
Diaxus will understand all this im lost lolo
Yeah its not to bad, dont forget ive done this now 100s of times so its kinda all sunk in what to do now :)
Thank you FG! hope you are well buddy :)
