I love watching older movies with my youngest daughter! It’s great when interests change, I’ve been watching more movies and shows this year too. I set out to read all of the Stormlight archives books this year, and that has tanked, and I’m OK with that.😂

Sorry to hear the "From Hell" bookclub is on it's way out, as I've picked up books here an there on KU that are part of the club reads, but you've got to be true to what works for you. As a small booktuber who focuses on both books and movies/shows I will say you pick up a lot more subs, watch time, and interaction one the show component. I like to think there's vier crossover into books as it's all similar genre but I've no metrics for that. I'm a strong believer in diversifying a booktube channel just a bit whether that's shows, lifestyle, or something else related is up to each person. Hope you find a balance that makes you happy and welcome to KU, it's where I do all my reading and I think it's a great option for voracious readers who don't mind looking at indie authors and keeping an eye out for when "big releases" go onto KU.
this year is flying by! i agree its good to have goals but at the end of the day we can't take this too seriously when we have other things to attend to at home lol. its less stressful for me if i just look at it like a hobby

I used to have a booktube channel, but got burned out trying to keep up with the Jones', and ended up shutting the channel down after 9 months. I now have a new channel where I talk about what I enjoy and I do not feel pressured about anything; I post when I feel like it, and if I want to talk about what I'm reading, watching, etc. then I talk about that.
I go through the same thing. I don’t now when to vlog or make update videos or a theme of the mo The th of books I want to read. I’ve picked my summer reading pile for the summer and now I’m like I’m not sure if I want to read some of them.
Maybe you just need a break, and believe me, the algorithm isn't going to punish you if you start posting less videos. Make videos when you like, then the fun starts to come back, probably. I don't have short term channel goals, of course I'm tempted to say I'd like to hit 1000 subscribers by X date, but I have no idea why because I'm not going to monetize my channel when I this that goal anyway. It's just the idea that I can say; look how successful I'm on UA-cam.
