If Republicans actually talked like this. Republican women would still support them
Republican women wouldn’t stop voting Republican even if the government mandated men to keep their women on leashes. Some people just refuse to be wrong.
They already do.
I hate this video so much because of how true it is. This summer there was actually a congressperson who said, ON THE FLOOR, that he knows plenty of girls married at the age of 13 that are in happy relationships with the men they married. Oh, and with no surprise the Moms for Liberty head is a sex offender.
@@kyleinthejar6829 That's one of the interesting things about being a Republican:
In Utah, you can get elected to Congress even if you're a man who walks his wife on a leash.
In Nevada, you can get elected to Congress even if you're a woman whose wife walks her on a leash.
“He tells it like it is.”
"'I never thought leopards would eat MY face,' sobs woman who voted for the Leopards Eating People's Faces Party."
Bingo!
"Oh shut up, silly woman!" said the reptile with a grin, "You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in."
I love that that's literally a subreddit too. Is literally purely articles about people who are in effectively that situation. /r/LeopardsAteMyFace
😂😂😂
Be careful, actual republicans might think this isnt satire and youll get elected to the senate
Better Steve than an actual Republican.
I've been saying for years that a real progressive should primary actual Republicans and say shit like this during the primary. Probably be able to win the nomination, maybe even the actual post, and then they fold govern like an actual progressive one they're in. All you've gotta do is say every offensive thing you can think of during the race itself.
@@sailordaigurren8225 And why not? Manchin, Sinema and some crazy in North Carolina did just the opposite. It's way past time to fight dirty.

Well said!
Given all the horrible things we've seen Republicans say and do over the last decade, I'm pretty sure this speech is going to be the actual party platform in 2028.
It already is, they just hide it behind double speak.
Their 2020 platform was literally a Nazi slogan, so...
He could easily run for office as this character, and would likely win the republican primary without any issues.
It has always been the Republican agenda. Keep'em barefoot and pregnant.
Let's hope we're still having elections in 2028.
"We hate who you hate" is honestly the only possible reason I can imagine anyone voting Republican, tbh
Isn't that the party moto?
Yes, and especially the part that Steve added, "even yourself".
"....including yourselves" is where the speech gets real.

Gotta stop that great replacement after all. Depressing.

Definitely this. The Republicans appear to want overpopulation, especially of white people, especially of young white males, because the Republicans want a steady supply of gullible voters and throwaway workers for the conservative-run corporations lobbying the Republican politicians.

What a depressingly accurate line.
Whenever Republicans fail at the polls, it's always, "our message needs to be adjusted" not, "our policies need to change completely".
lately they've just been saying "the voters are wrong"
Sadly when Democrats fail at the polls it's always "we didn't do enough to reach out to Republican voters" and when they win it's "see, we don't need progressives or the left to win, reaching out to right-wing moderates worked."
I.e. "we need to lie better!"

He even commented on a speech about how no one gave a shit about Trans people just a few years ago, but now they lose their minds over it.
He's even been quoted saying stupid people are his favorite
Which only has one potential meaning, because he certainly doesn't love the stupid people voting against him

How many men take it in stride, though? How many teenage boys with an as-of-yet undeveloped and immature view of the world fall down a dark path because of rejection? Maybe not most, but definitely some.
As a woman, I am always amused when people try to sell me on the GOP. The thing that blows my mind at this point is them saying the quiet parts out loud progressively more often without even trying to spin it.
😱 It was a shocking moment & all of them now are doubling & tripeling down on it, Because…Drumpf something something, & whatever he said
I’ve noticed in the last few years that people are not asking for things they want & NEED ….they’re just asking for one guy and whatever he wants they have no platform whatsoever , cause Drumpf… something something something whatever he says and wants
I still just find it shocking 😳 but now it’s not as surprising
Lol how do they try to do that? What "virtues" do they give selling the GOP?
Hello woman 😊
My uncle: Well you're too old to get pregnant, why do you care about RvW?
Classic republican thinking: it doesn't affect me & fork everyone else.
@@juanitaolivo2113BS financial ones, mostly. This, from the party voted most likely to step over a dollar to get a dime.
As someone raised on the Right, this is horrifyingly accurate. We really did think we knew what was best for people-which is how we framed our disdain for the “other.” Don’t ask me how the hell my brain finally dragged me out of the muck. I’ve been out for over a decade and I still can’t figure out how I woke up.
I have a few friends who had as well. It's really fascinating and scary.
How easily a change could just never have happened?
If you ever figure it out, write a book about it. Free more minds!
C.S. Lewis once wrote about how the worse tyrants are the ones who think they're doing it for your own good. Someone who just wants to exploit or loot those they control might have a crisis of conscience or figure they've got enough, but sanctimony is far more effective at letting someone avoid realising what they are.
So glad you did. Celebrate your value.
I was always rebellious when my Republican parents tried to shove their oppressive woman ideology down my throat. My mother didn't mind being oppressed. At the end of her life, she had lost her whole identity 💔 and all she had left was cynical bitterness. Sad really 😢 😭.
*IF THEY WERE DECENT HUMAN BEINGS* they would not be Republicans...
See, that's not a good way to look at it. Don't automatically assume every republican is evil. Misinformed, sure, but don't demonize people.
I grew up in a conservative home, life-long Republicans and Good Christians™ that were Real American Patriots. It took me DECADES to break free of that brainwashing, and it really IS brainwashing. The Religious Right is a cult. You cannot reason with them,. they are completely convinced that they are right about everything, and they never stop to question it. Not for a moment. . They are not evil, they genuinely think they are Good People, but they also don't want to change, and they will never admit they are wrong. I am livid that I was fooled, and USED, for so long. But I am atypical, in that I was never really attached to the church. Those that are, it's a huge part of who they are, they cannot walk away from it.
More ignorant than misinformed.@@PotatoPatatoVonSpudsworth
Decent human beings.
What does it taken to make one?
Your comment sounds like if you yourself were a republican candidate. Doesn't it?
How could these women be decent, when they've been trained in religion, by fathers who are absent, sometimes because of job constraints, and worse, because they had to be at the sporting events.
This situation is really "F up." By criticizing the victims for being victims doesn't help them realize it.
As a woman I cringe with each of your words because sadly that is how a lot of people from both sexes think it should be. Scarry and terrible.
Yes, I'm always astonished that men and women need to collaborate for this to happen.
😕
It couldn't exist without the help of some/numerous women.
@@TragoudistrosMPHthat is puzzling and also disturbing in the amount of cognitive dissonance involved. I also wonder how any African American could vote for tr**p either
@@ThommyofThennOr any Republican for that matter.
You know, being pro life does not mean supporting unwanted pregnancies. As a pro-life communist, I will actually agree with you that the republican party is sexist. I would compare this to a criminal who stabs someone to death for money to pay for food on the table. Sure, social programs might improve things better than more police, but that does not mean we legalize murder.
@@ThommyofThenn According to statistics, the answer you are looking for is Religion, specifically Abrahamic ones. Leviticus is quite clear about women being sub-human, and encourages their sale and trade in the same chapter that it discusses slaves, because they're the same category of "Chattel."
Check if your state allows divorce if the wife is pregnant.
It's horrifying.
NY: Yes. You will be able to finalize your divorce in the normal time frame.
This should be pinned with everyone putting their state info.
Other states may let you finalize a divorce while pregnant. In New York, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Washington, and Massachusetts, the judge may finalize the divorce before the baby comes. You'll likely have to return to court to decide parenting issues after the baby is born.
NJ: In New Jersey a divorce can proceed and be finalized even if they are pregnant. Getting divorced or making the decision to separate from your spouse is difficult enough and the process is made even more difficult if the couple is expecting a baby.
New Mexico, the divorce is on hold until the paternity of the baby is known, usually after the birth!
In Misery - err, Missouri; you cannot get a divorce finalized while pregnant. Our Republican overlords here do allow you to start one, though.
@@marieblade5275 Now look up how many states where a convicted rapist can petition for custody!!!!
I'd laugh if this wasn't true. How do any women support this party?!?!?
The only thing that makes sense is that they hate other women so much that they are willing to take a hit, as long as YOU do too.
Indoctrination and hell in a handbasket syndrome. First, they are raised to believe that women are inferior to men and therefore should defer to them. Second, they are convinced that the world is going to hell in a handbasket and supporting the Republican platform is the only thing that can stop it. Many conservative women I talked to were disgusted by Trump. They only voted for him because he was the nominee and they were convinced that the Republicans needed to be in power to stop "deviancy and immorality" - abortion, the LGBTQIA community, gay marriage, divorce, etc. They fully believe that Democrats = evil. Believe me, there is nothing you are ever going to be able to say to move them. For them, it's a morals thing. Also, the way conservative/Republican men treat them is normal. A lot of them don't like it, but they accept it to avoid being a "Jezebel". 🙄
They never think the bad things that happen/are going to happen to other women because of the decisions of the Republican Party, will happen to them. They get this crap from their churches, and they'll believe anything as long as they're told it will get them through the pearly gates. No critical thinking skills needed.
It's kind of fascinating what some women will do for security: a roof over their heads, the caveman Rethuglicon male to fix what's broken in that house & never to expect much compassion, empathy, caring or respect from your caveman.
That's all I see in those relationships. Very perfunctory.
They Internalized misogyny they grew up in. The ones I have a harder time understanding are those who didn’t grow up in it and support Republicans.
"Agree to disagree" is a phrase meant to apply to things like "Pineapple on Pizza is good" Or "Marvel is Better than DC" Stuff that isn't a big deal. It could not and should not ever apply to things like Human Rights. If anyone disagrees with Human Rights, they are a piece of ****. And there is no agreeing to disagree with that.
Yes, but pineapple on pizza is an abomination. And if you order it, the terrorists win.
I want him to do one of those but for black people. Because being a Republican black person is almost 1-1 the same as being a Republican woman. They're treated basically the same.
Exactly, if the republican party could have black slaves, they would in a heart beat. No black republican will be spared.
I agree. I want more too. I also want one that addresses gay republicans.
Man, I have a hard time understanding why any woman, person of color, or person in LGBTQ is a Republican.
They would cancel Steve over that.
Also for Mexican and Cuban Americans.
God, guns, and racism is what conservative women find appealing about the Republican party. Just look at Margarine Tator Green Bean and Lauren Boobert.
Blonde Bellatrix has claimed “white men have it the worst in America now,” crazily enough.
As for the other one, Republican Dillion Harper, at least we got proof that she is capable of reaching across the aisle.

Love these videos.
Why women date and marry conservative men is one of the greatest mysteries in the world.
Low self esteem and they are not worthy of a decent guy. They settle for some MAGAt loser. A life of misery and despair awaits them.
Its a fetish.
I have no idea it doesn't make sense
Insecurity, and religous indoctrination.
Trauma. Abuse. Debilitating mental illness. Christian/Abrahamic indoctrination.
"We want to protect your SEX-BASED RIGHTS to be our slaves! But not those abominations we can't force pregnancy on!"
When he said 'theres only white women here', he was looking directly at Candace Owens
No idea what her deal is. She is definitely one of the dumbest members of Congress.
You know it's something about the terrible wig that does just scream Republican, but I legitimately couldn't tell you *why*.
Probably because most of the time a lot of Republicans dress with the same hairstyle, all standard business cut, or whatever it's called.
Maybe it's the fact that wigs typically hide bald(ing) heads. Which is appropriate since republicans typically hide their bald-faced lies behind bullshit rhetoric.
Because it is fake and looks fake. Goes well together with everything republican.
The wig is a perfect example of the way conservatives blatantly lie and accept those lies as truth. You could never see it and think it's his hair.
Its because the wig is so obviously fake. Its pretending to be something it very much is not.
What I hate about these skits is if Republicans said all of them, I don't think it'd affect their vote that much
The Republicans should also admit The Handmaid's Tale TV Series is their favorite show.
And providing a roadmap.
More like their blueprint.
I've always thought they had a movie night double feature with "The Running Man" and "Escape From New York" and said that the America we want.
Not their favorite because it paints them in a bad light.
They see it as a horror series. All those women fighting back and traitorous men colluding with those wombs.
This is what I've been saying for a long time. It's nauseating that any woman would ever believe Republicans are out for their best interests.
That's the thing. Reps have to get to you first before the Dems do. They have to be louder. "It's the Dems that hate you. Everything mean they say about us, they are saying about you. You aren't going to let that slide, are you? We know Gods will. Even at our worst, they would be 10 times worse. Trust me, your lucky to be with us."
I did a so called “women’s 10k” in Boston and the announcer was basically this guy. He announced the race by saying “these are someone’s mother, wife, sister, and daughters”
Wtf?! How about we’re badass runners. When men only see us in relation to them, they don’t see us at all. They don’t consider us people unless we somehow carried male genetic material at some point or are related to a man. Republicans for sure just see as as cows and literally only marry women who want kids because they don’t see us as people.
The only time I have heard that phrasing has been to describe crime victims.

It has not escaped my notice that every law and talking point denigrating Tras People, has unavoidable (intentionally) harmed Cis Women.
Yes this sudden concern about women in sport hides a hatred of women & women's sports.
Ain’t that the truth. Because the Republican party is more united about the people it hates than anything. Yep, Anti-Trans BS disguised as supporting women...
i think it’s fair to say transphobia is rooted in sexism…even the talking point “men in dresses” inherently has distain for the idea that males can wear dresses and has the goal to reduce the experience of trans women to just..putting on costume. terfs especially like to play into the narrative that males and females are inherently one way or another. “trans women are always perverts but trans men are just confused victims of “”gender ideology””” it’s always some cry about trans women. they don’t care about trans men besides to infantilize them. and it always makes me wonder if any of them have ever once met a trans woman..every single trans woman i know and have ever known are scared to death to make people uncomfortable and are often brimmed with anxiety and low self-esteem. idk. it’s just mindless fear and quiet attempts at maintaining social norms. idk..i rambled. it’s heart-wrenching to see and i don’t understand why people hate trans people so much.
At some point in time I asked myself: "How did we get here?"
But the thing is, I actually now know the answer and it scares me like nothing else on this planet can.
I'm not from the US so I had to read a bunch of articles, news and what not combined with I don't know how many documentaries to finally be able to realize what the Republicans have been doing for the past 40 years and I gotta say...
Every fascist that ever lived and is alive today would be proud.
The Republicans are playing the long game, but holy shit, they are good at it.
More like the past 60 years. This goes at least as far back as Barry Goldwater's southern strategy implemented in the wake of the civil rights movement.
@@EmeralBookwiseThanks for pointing this out. There is not enough discussion of Goldwater on the left. It’s like we lay everything at the feet of Reagan and forget this goes farther and deeper.
It's cuz we didn't defeat the Nazis during WW2. They rat-lined their way from Germany to Argentina to Brazil before finally settling in here, in the states.
I've been saying this since Bush v. Gore, and I've been met with apathy and derision and just complete non-belief. The average citizen in this country is so busy trying to survive right now that they hardly have time to vote, much less think about politics. Many of them have also been brainwashed into believing that their votes don't count when those very votes could help shape the future. "Good" trouble
Fox News might try to hire him as a talking head. He plays the part well.
"We hate who you hate... including yourselves."
Could not have put it more succinctly.
I have struggled mightiliy over the past several years to understand how any woman ...or how any man who genuinely loves a female be it wife, mother, sister or daughter...could be or vote republican. You gave me the answer. "Because we hate who you hate." Mystery solved.
And don't forget the internalized self-hatred! Oh, they'll say that they support women, but what they really support is their idea of 'womanhood' which, in and of itself, is an incredibly sexist standard. 'Oh, I'm feeling angry, because my husband is being crabby and distant...mUsT bE mY hOrMoNeS hyuck hyuck' 'Women can't perform as well as men in STEM, our brains are so different! Why even try? It's in our biology!' 'The home really is a woman's natural habitat. It's evolution's design!' 'We should be PROUD of our role in society! The world would collapse without us to raise the children and tend to the home! All trying to be a MAN will do is make me unhappy, because I'm doomed to be substandard compared to them, and without *baaabies* my life will be completely meaningless!' No offense to anyone who does choose the domestic life. It's just that I think some women choose it because they think aspiring to anything else is somehow morally wrong or above them.
"A shallow pantomime of compassion" - wow. That line hit particularly hard.

This video is a wild ride. Bouncing between giggling at funny punchlines and getting gut punched by the truth of it all
One thing left out of this that needs to be added to all discussions on abortion. A quarter of all pregnancies end in miscarriage, and sometimes a D&C is needed or the child may rot in the womb. The new laws say EFF YOU to those mothers, and will wait until they are near death with their rotting baby inside them for the procedure. Also, women who have "successful" natural miscarriages might be accused of illegal abortions. We have to shatter the myth of the magical beautiful pregnancy for all. I don't understand why this is so rarely explored, and when it is, it's done in code.
Thank you for this. I had to have a d&c when I miscarried at 20. No anesthesia because I didn't have health insurance. It was the most pain I have ever been in emotionally and physically. I can't imagine what it would have been like to go without the d&c but I also would have really appreciated not having to feel every second of it. reproductive rights provide care for all women and we all deserve them. Stockholm Syndrome is the only theory I can come up with to explain women who vote Republican.
Seems right to me!
That was sublime. If this was in a teleprompter, I have to wonder how long it would take some of the Republican candidates to realise anything was off.
They wouldn't realize anything. Hell, the orange buffoon quotes Hitler and his cultists lapped it up.

Just look over to CEE. People be people everywhere
I think a lot of it comes down to an outsized pride of being American and Christianity being conflated with white American values. That means if you attack their particular brand of Christianity (women and minorities are inferior and LGBTQs are the sign of the Devil himself and some other disgusting ideologies) that also means you’re attacking America and visa versa. It’s never a good mix when religion gets mixed in with politics.
Right now I think all this is coming about because these characters feel threatened by minorities getting close to becoming the majority and atheism becoming more popular by the day. It messes with their plans for world domination. Hopefully it’s a sign this ideology is in its death throes because they’re certainly pulling out all the stops to make it more difficult for Democrats to win because they know they’re losing ground.
As a lifelong fan of satire, standing ovation to you . Lately, the GOP has been caught saying the quiet parts out loud. It sounds a lot like this bit.
Misogyny runs on the far far right anarchist side too.
Hatred and spite- the GOP platform.
OMG to hear it said out loud. This is exactly how the Republicans have always felt about women. I love the so true line “ since that dark day the 19th amendment went into law”. They fought so hard against that amendment.

@gracen8010. Oh, what a mouthful! I too had to cut off my family. As a woman and a highly educated scientist, both groups are hated by the GOP, but the combo of a woman scientist has put in the crosshairs of my GOP family. I will tell the policies being passed against both groups, and they just do not care….roughly translated as this man is doing…..we do not care about you because you are too vocal….you make more than most men, you are able to out debate the men in this family, that cannot happen. And worst of all, you even did not take your husband’s last name. Did you not know you do not even have a right to your own name, even if your husband supports your choice? You just manipulated him, even though he too is a highly educated scientist.
And, what saddens me is that my sisters are the main culprits. And my dad who taught me to me to be an independent strong woman when I was young, did not like it when it actually occurred in my adulthood. This broke my heart. Thank you for sharing, as I am not alone.
I could not be a Republican woman...
Especially the religious/evangelicals... women priests/pastors are just understood to not be a "thing".
Could you imagine accepting and justifying that?
A trans activist noted how the overturning of Roe v Wade was also a way to punish trans men and force them into their “proper biological duties” and that point is burned into my memory forever. It gives me chills and makes me feel very nauseous. The cruelty and the control over another humans body and forcing themselves onto others….it’s dystopian and horrific.
Wha, wha, wha?
How I would love to sneak this on the big screen this “thanktrumpsgiving”.
Oh, man. I was just thinking-hmmm, how can I get this some views at my place tomorrow? 😂 maybe make a playlist and stick it between songs?
For that there should be a section added about how Thanksgiving not only is a mockery of history and an insult to Native Americans but a symbol for how "conservative men" revel in the oppression and exploitation of women (and how conservative women celebrate it with gusto): men sitting on the couch all day and stuffing themselves, but being the one who carves the Turkey their wives spent days to prepare, got up at 4 o'clock to cook and will be occupied with for at least another day due to clean up.
I thought the same!
If you’re older than 60 (like myself), you can probably still remember a time when the Republican Party was rational. Unfortunately, those days are long gone. Now their adherents are just group of people who have said, “Screw it. I’m done being a grownup. I’m too ignorant to realize that I’ve voted myself and my country into a trap, and I’m angry and frustrated as hell. So I’m just going to recede into a childish fantasy land, and any candidate that enables that, no matter how crazy, will have my support.”

The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”
Isaac Asimov.
When you’re playing a Republican, you should always put on a “baggy neck” prosthetic. 😆
He's going for young & smug like "chicken legs" Hawley or Matt "rapey McForehead" Gaetz.
A turkey-neck wobbler would go well with the iron-grey wig!
He's perfectly describing mainstream Evangelical Christianity. This is what it is.
Out on the campaign trial, kissing hotdogs and eating babies.

My amazing mom left an abusive marriage and raised 4 kids by herself with insanely minimal child support (well under 800 usd/month total). People still act all confused about the strength of my liberal-socialist political convictions. I'll never understand why. That childhood was all I will ever need to understand why we need equitably distributed social support in the USA.
Sadly, the republicans continue to win whether or not they say these truths of their views aloud.
Well spoken sir. You made me angry and sad - which means it's real and you understand. Thanks for that.
The same way drug dealers saw Scarface as a blueprint, and how brokers saw Wall St is how Republicans saw Handmaidens Tale.
Literally.
@RGreggKeller
Tim and I will not stop until Missouri is literally the Handmaids Tale.

Say it like it is Brother! The GOP is morally bankrupt.
“A lot of you hate a lot of people just as much as I do. That’s why you’re here.” THIS.💯
Before the bush versus Gore election my conservative Aunt really wanted bush. Why? Because he'll do away with the inheritance tax. I tried to explain that there are millions of poor people who need... she cut me off with the wave of her hand and said "we don't care about them!" Exactly. This is the core philosophy of conservatives.
"I'd like to end this by saying 'Know your role, and shut your mouth, toots'"
“You churchy ones are so goddamn easy”. I’m positive every GOP candidate since Reagan has thought this.
Right? They believe in everything in the Bible even though basically all of it can be disproven by modern science.
Spot on, to exactly what I hear when Republicans address women.
Hysterical but painfully true, the man is a genius.
I've said it before and I'll say it again...these need to be aired on Fox and OAN and that other sickening propaganda network as part of their regular programming throughout the day, every single day of the year
I'll tell you right now that conservatives are not the best when it comes to media literacy.
Example: Conservatives who like Rage Against the Machine
@@faxminealso: Conservatives who didn’t understand that the Colbert Report was satire of Bill O’Reilly
@@alexvoigt9204 I bet if the Colbert Report was still running during the trump years, trump would have given Colbert the medal of freedom and/or a cabinet position.
Nobody will notice any difference.
@@alexvoigt9204additionally: Conservatives who like _Star Trek_
Replace republicans with conservatives, because anyone who thinks this is a republican thing or a modern day republican/conservative thing is, in my opinion, being insanely naive about this.
I mean no offense when I say that either, its just that, as someone who loves reading history, this sort of sexist, bigoted rhetoric has existed from the very beginning. Conservatives have always stood in the way of positive progress in society since day one. Hell, one of the most long lasting examples is those who seek to remove monarchy and establish democracy, France being the shining poster child of this historic cycle. It took them numerous revolutions to finally settle on a functional republic, mind you, but they eventually did it, and progress, NOT conservation, won out.
The same applies to human and civil rights too. Women's rights, racial equality, LGBT+ acceptance, all of these are PROGRESSIVE things, NOT conservative things.
This is true there are conservative Democrats out there. But I think to this point which part is deliberately doing all it can to hold women back, compared to a handfuls of dumbasses in the democratic party?
Thank you! SPOT ON! Conservatism has always been REGRESSIVE and FASCIST since day 1!! The whole ideology should be long dead but people in power keep reviving it. No one wants what they are selling but only buys it cuz of fear tactics!
Dude what are you trying to argue?
I see your point. It is possible to be "conservative" and not trample all over someone else's rights. If someone wants to live in a conservative way, that's fine. It's forcing your lifestyle on others that's the issue.
This is one of the best descriptions of the current Republican Party i have ever seen and i think more people need to see it to educate themselves X3
The truth here hits hard. The very group that need to see this, hear this live in denial.
Denial is a very strong emotion.
It's common for women who marry rapists, or serial killers to completely ignore all the flaming red flags for decades--not waking up until the police come knocking on their door, & some STILL stand by their man! 😮🤯💥
Just like so many Rethuglicon women do, just to have a roof over their head, & someone paying the bills. These are women who are told--typically by their own mothers, "Honey, you NEED a man. You aren't complete otherwise."
The first 2/3 of my life were spent in turmoil around the injustice of that milieu. One day I said ok, bye. While I feared the loss of relationships with my female relatives, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I gained peace by not having to listen to the bickering, resentments, grievances, losses, and ever sinking maelstrom of deceiving one's "loved ones".
Bumper sticker:
A woman voting Republican is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.
Holy fuck, I just discovered you about a month ago and I always assumed you were just the silly trek dude. This was amazing and I approve. Keep up the good work!
There aren't too many conservative Trekkies. Although, you gotta wonder what the conservative fans see in a show that's so blatantly against every backwards thing they stand for.
Wow..that was brutal. It makes me feel so so sad for all of us who were born women that this is what our leaders and candidates are really telling us underneath all their bells and whistles. I’ve thought this for years but now with Roe v. Wade falling and the abortion bans and the questions brought up about contraception I fear for a total upending of our society. I’m 68. I am so grateful for living in the decades I did where contraception was just part of my day and poor women raising 3 kids could choose to do the best for the three kids she had without bringing a fourth into the world. This is a tragedy that we can’t let happen. Thank you Steve. It was painful.
A woman voting republican would be the same as chickens voting for Col. Sanders!!!
and yet if they said this, there are (sad to say) women who would STILL vote for them. very, very, sad to say.
I don't understand how any woman can embrace this party. SMH.
Their husbands told them to . . . Oye vey . . .
Intolerant and cold-hearted Republicans. That struck a nerve with me because damn I'm starting to agree with that. This was brilliant, sad but probably pretty spot on. Good job Steve.
Thank you for this video. It was a true tonic. I am 69 years old and I was raised in a multi racial, multi cultural family during the 50s 60s and 70s. My eyes were open to racism and sexism by the mid 60s, and I did my first anti-war protest alongside my mother when I was 10 years old in 65. But there are things that I have forgotten. I was beginning to wonder why I have such a passionate rage towards republicans and have so since the 60s. And I began wondering if it might not be misplaced, a possible form of confirmation bias. Then I listened to the first episode of Rachel Maddow's Bag Man and I heard sparrow Agnew speech. Almost verbatim to a Trump speech filled with racism, hate, and, as you put it, demonic cruelty. And it took my breath away and everything came rushing back. The memories. I remember now. I have forgotten what it felt like listening to George Wallace standing on the steps with the national guard around him saying that those children would not come into that school. But most of what I still remember is the southern Dixiecrats and Republicans and their racism. I had forgotten about the major, central Republican party evil like Agnew, and with a little bit more class but only a tiny bit, Nixon. They learn their lesson about being overt with their racism so they brought in Reagan who sugarcoated his racism and made it look like something good to eat and this nation gobbled it up. They still do.
I wish that history wasn't so easily forgotten. When people haven't lived through it, they don't realize that legal segregation was only fully ended a generation or two ago.
Is 60 or 80 years really all it takes to forget where we came from and start regressing?
Thanks for sharing your story and your memories. I feel like you would have a lot of them to tell ❤
I'm a single older woman in my late 60s now. Been living in Nevada for the past 19 years. Have my own home.
Several years back, it was nearing July 4th, & I was taking in some sun sitting on my front porch step.
Down from the culdesac we live on comes a young guy, I kind of recognized as a neighbor. As he briskly walks by he threw a firecracker in the juniper in front of me. Then he laughed running away & called me a "c**t."
We never met. I looked online to see what public info there is known about him or his family. He's married, has atleast 2 young kids & he's a registered Republican.
It all made sense.
@@andreah6379 I would've pegged him as a libertarian 😂
@@AkizukiSakura16 Thank you. ❤️ ... for some reason your reply only came up this morning.
Terrifyingly truthful and on the mark.
Things are so Fd up that humor actually matches reality!!!
If only we could slip some truth serum into republicans before they made their speeches...😅
Every time you do these, I have to share them with my entire family. So spot on. So painfully true. I'm always flabbergasted when I see a woman or a brown person wearing a maga hat. How is it possible that someone can be so completely gulled into voting directly against their own self-interests? It's the political equivalent of shooting yourself in the foot (though, in this case, consequences for the voter make it more akin to shooting themselves in the head, I suppose). Thanks for these, Steve. I wish every person in the entire country would watch them, and I wish more people had the spine to plainly and honestly say what these people are doing.
Ive actually met men who really express these views.
This parody is not from the truth.
Jesus Christ this is one of the best written youtube videos I've ever seen in my life
Absolutely phenomenal work
You should do one for black voters next
No egalitarian white person could bring themselves to.
You’d need Uncle Ruckus to make that speech.
@@BlackCover95 Yup, I immediately thought of Uncle Ruckus too!
This might be your best video yet!
Guess I've written that before!
Greetings from the Netherlands!
Stuff is somewhat better over here than over there. I hope stuff will improve.
Later today I'm going to vote to get the first female prime minister elected in this country - daughter of a Kurdish refugee.
I'm sorry, and worried, how that vote turned out.
@@ragauerk9310yes exactly. Very disappointing outcome to that election
My twin brother, Jerry, who lives in Tennessee, has become one of those fanatical Christian republicans.
I on the other hand live in West Virginia, am kind and caring, but a democrat.
Not too long ago he told me that I couldn't be a Christian and a democrat. Hahaha
I thought you know, he's right. I don't think the same way.
So I quit that cult.
He's going to be awful upset when he finds out that I chose to be a democrat.😊❤
Every woman, black and Latino republicans should listen to this, he is so on point! He may be talking about the women, but it’s like this for the other groups in the Republican Party.
"Leave it up to the states", my ass. National ban, here we come.
After what Ohio tried to do, it was a joke point from the very beginning.
It's always their way.
I can't imagine being so deluded that 'getting my way by any means' is morally just.
So long as they win, they see it as right.
State, National, Global.
Let’s leave it up to the-hm?
🗣️👂
Oh, really? In that case…

…Let’s ban it nationwide! Save the baaaabies!
They'll get inspiration from Texas in that regard. No way in hell they'll do what Lindsey suggested last year. I hate this country's progression
Wow - this is the most REAL speech I have heard. It’s so true too. Thank you for this!
Our young women already know this. It’s us - Baby Boomers women those before us that have been intimidated into “staying in our place”.
I have to be careful how loud I play this because it's hard to tell it's satire because it's so accurate. I don't want those around me thinking I share these vile views, lol.
Ouch! This one is nasty! Great job!
If it wasn't so accurate it would be funny but its just sad to me
When TRUTH insists upon itself... BRAVO.
"Hello you civic minded dorks"
I feel so exposed now lol
I knew all of this to be true about Republicans before watching this, but my anxiety has gone through the roof. Might have to come back later to finish watching. Brutal, but it's an important reminder as to these people really are. Thank you.
