I wish the 8Bitdo Lite just had 3DS-style circle pads instead of 2 d-pads, I would instantly buy that.
Oh and PS, I wish they would've switched L/R and ZL/ZR.
Just try fc30 pro. It's small too and have analog stick
@@dimassatya8154 It's basically the N30 Pro 2, with a Famicom skin. I'm looking for something that's perhaps even smaller and has 3DS-style circle pads instead of analog sticks
@@haresmahmood when I saw the controller I 🤔🤔🤔 thought the same thing
I mean you can go into Switch settings to change ZL and ZR into L and R, but yeah I wish it had 3ds circle pads, motion, and a d-pad instead of what the joycons did since mine would have circle pads
There’s actually an ipega controller that have that, but i never tested to see its quality.
Wanna know what else is small? My bank account next month.
You spittin ngl
No something else is small
When Mario 3d world comes out my bank account is going to be like that I have been buying Mario games
@@kra5h9ntundummi67 bruh
Lol
The Stoga Nook controller may be small but I’ve had no issues with it and I have adult hands. The others I’ve struggled with at some point using them.
I got the mint green one to match my system but haven't gotten the audiojack to work on the stoga controller.
@@prettyadorkableash5152 I heard that the audio jack works when the controller is connected to the dock via the wire.
Where can I get it?? Im late to the party and cant find it anymore :/
Him: talks about sn30 but doesnt put it on the list
Me *starts dying inside*
IKR! I was hoping he'd compare the PDP controller to the sn30 :/
Wulf Den did that already
omg I was so obsessed with your channel over a year ago when I was getting a switch- I've forgotten about the quality of this channel oml
For 2D games, I'm using the NES Pro 2 by 8BitDo, USB-C charging, great D-Pad and I have the N64 colorway which look pretty good. As small controllers go I think it's the best one.
why am I watching this, I'm 16 and have the hands of a giant, eh who am I kidding, I just love watching Kevin Kenson vids
Me too
Hes very inspirering
His beard do
Same.
Same! Lol
I’ve been looking for a small wireless controller. 👍👍
Hentai
@@TheBackalleysally That was very unneeded...
@@TheBackalleysally that’s how you spell it thanks I really wanted to watch that
I highly recommend the Nano Enhanced from Power A. It is basically a smaller Pro Controller. It feels as premium as the Nintendo Pro Controller. It is awesome.
I’m thinking about getting smaller controllers for my kids, so this was interesting, if a bit short. I’m also considering the PowerA Nano.
I've had good luck with PowerA over the years, and I use their Wired Xbox 360/Xbox 1 on my PC , and Wired Switch controllers with both my Switch Lite in tabletop mode, and on my PC via STEAM with no real issues to speak of, and even with their portable MOGA line for Android phones. I've seen people want to dog on PowerA for nothing having this, or that feature in their controllers, but for a budget option they are a solid choice.
Same here. I'm trying to decide between the Stoga and the 8bitdo Zero 2 for my four year old.
I recommend PDP Controllers but they are not as small as these in the video
Well as you can see they showed one of the controllers
@@84Eraursls zero 2 doesn't have enough buttons
My biggest hope is that 8bitdoh makes a controller like the Dual D-pad one but with circle pads instead. Then you would maintain its size but now get full analog movements. Then you can make the arrow buttons a d-pad. Perfect thin pocketable controller!
they have it now, it called "8bitdo lite 2".
also check their "8bitdo micro", it's an upgrade ver. of the "8bitdo zero 2"
I got an idea, a controller like the 8BitDo Lite Pad, but with 3DS-like joysticks.
Good idea but where do you get the functionality of the stick clicks? Most controllers in the late 2010’s have this function.
@@christopher32074 Is there even any Switch games that use them?
@@nicolasroy8481 minecraft and some fps games I think
They should make a mini PS2 controller because it doesn’t have that much buttons so it could be small and also it would be a cool anniversary item.
i have the stoga nook style controller and i honestly love it! as someone with small hands, it's so nice to f i n a l l y not have to reach for every damn button and get pain in my fingers and hands for it
Have you gotten the audiojack to work? I just mine today.
Do you think it would be too big for a four year old? Trying to decide between this one and the 8bitdo Zero 2.
@@prettyadorkableash5152 I haven't :( but then I also didn't really troubleshoot it too hard so it's possible it works but in some convoluted way? I hope you get along well with yours!
Ive had mainly the playstation version when i got sick and tired of the ps4 controllers breaking, after going through only 2 of the mini's since 2016 and now about to be on my third one for pc gaming has made me so happy. I love these controllers.
I live in korea and bought the nook controller here from a Korean company, had professional packaging and branded too. They have a logo on the contoller however called switch cat. So I'm thinking that all these companies buy the controllers and then resell them with their brand on as mine looks exactly the same
The Zero 2 gets uncomfortable very quickly but the dpad is great. Played through Gunman Clive using.
There's also the 8bitdo lite controller thing with joy sticks
The bonus of the wired Switch controllers with the Switch Pro layout not only being cheaper, but you can use them with STEAM, and even STEAM on Linux, along with the your choice Nintendo, or Xbox face button layouts with a software switch.
can some company please do a mini controller like the sn 30, but in stead of sticks it has the ds type things? I think that would be great because you can just throw it in your pocket.
But those feel terrible and won't last on intense games
You mean the circle pads on the 3ds. They last a while apart from the rubber that may fall off but it doesn't drift so
@@universaljoyconboyz4ever161 they could replace the rubber with a more durable material?
@@Jeff-xu1eg its not the rubber thats bad is that the inhesive that holds it to the plastic part of the circle pad eventually wears out to the point wear the rubber pad falls off. But the inhesive is not bad tho
I did see an 8bitdo lite but with removable analog sticks
1:05 Bad choice. There's 0 need for wires in today's market. Lithium batteries and fast bluetooth exist, there's virtually no latency lag between button presses now other than cheaping out on the manufacturing side. 1:33 It's because they're cheaply made Kevin. The 8bitdo paddles don't have this, and are completely wireless.
I had “high” hopes for the 8bitdo lite. But when it arrived, I could not get the left shoulder buttons to work reliably. I disassembled it and tried to get the “click” working but no luck. Had to return it. If they release a grey version, I may grab it again or get the zero 2 model.
go for "lite 2", same size, regular 4 shoulders button placement and analog.
rather then zero 2, check their "micro", same size as zero, but with 4 shoulders button and mapping button software.
You are not first you are not last but most importantly
Nobody Asked
Wow that is actually good. Original?
@@jakerodregez2706 nah lol
The amount of times Ice seen the exact same commemt
Yeah people gotta keep those first comments back in the 2010’s.
Why is your name the same name of my cat?
Personally, I've had connectivity issues with each and every(4 of them) 8bitdo controller I've ever gotten. Initially they will connect with a TON of unclear steps, and will ultimately stop connecting eventually. I think connectivity is the most important thing because if your controller can't connect, it's just a plastic brick. I've thrown out 3 and have kept my 4th because it was the most expensive, but it has also stopped connecting and should have also gotten tossed. As far as quality goes, the plastic 8bitdo uses is nice, but that's where it stops. I'd never recommend the company to anyone.
The 8bitdo's wireless tech sucks honestly, I dunno why people don't mention this. All of my controllers have had charging and connectivity issues. You can fix them yourself using a soldering iron (if you know what you're doing) but it's not simple unless you're familiar with electronics. The build quality on them is pretty bad when it comes to bluetooth/charge.
I never thought about that, i was just about to make a sacrifice with my money and buy the Sn30 pro, thanks a lot i think im going with the last option of this video, or if you recomend me any other one im open to options muy friend! 😄
You know what they say about small controllers...
They're super adorable!
They have buttons
They're portable
Derpdadork21 yeah this could have gone way worse...
Is there a video for SUPERSIZED Switch controllers?
Trying to decide between 8bitdo sn30 pro, 8bitdo lite 2, and the pdp little wireless. I generally play modern games on my switch like pokemon or story of seasons. The sn30 looks like the best until you get down to the ergonomics on a modern game.
What about the PDP rock candy switch controller? My cousins loved it, but it didnt work for me.
Why bother with PDP when you can buy SN30? It does everything that PDP does but with better Dpad.
What about the NES30 Pro and the N30 Pro 2? Those are small too!
pdp 40 hour battery life also ..mines ordered off Amazon cant wait to get it to go with my skull n co grip n case will make a nice travel package with my power brick in case also I hope 🙃
Or just get the SN30 pro, much better Dpad.
Who are you? Wulff den?
agree 100% i got the pro+ version and had zero issues, or stick drift still after 5 months of tons of play
@@bryanmunoz775 😂😂😂
Are they good enough for small hands?
@@christopher32074 yup, works great on smaller hands, for regular to large hands the SN30 Pro Plus is somewhat better.
what about gulikit's controller, you should definetly review those
Can the PDP little wireless controller wake the switch?
Prob not
It can
The thing is, unless you really have to fit one in your pocket, you get to the 40/50 range and you might as well just get a Pro Controller. I don't think small hands are any barrier...my 7 year old uses one perfectly happily
Why don't they just make controllers with the slide pads like the 3ds?
@referral madness I know but the dpads on the 8bitdo controller also arent clickable and maybe they could make the slide pads clickable?
@@nudl3Zz The 8BitDo controller does have stick click functionality
@@herotehdude seems like you are right but it's really bad
@@nudl3Zz Also it’s really hard to get diagonal or full circle movements on a Dpad.
The commercial on UA-cam for PlayStation five has someone singing on it and I was like dude it's just a PlayStation five they were singing like they saw God or something LOL
I have the 8bitdo lite controller and if you make a thumb stick shape with sugru it will work
I think you missed out on the Guilikit Elves Controller! I think its the best and it’s also multi platform.
The 8bit-do SN30 pro is my favorite controller
my daughter loves her nintendo hori mini controller she even has one for the ps4 both are perfect for kids
Fun selection of tiny Nintendo Switch controllers. I like the prices but I would have to get a bigger controller for my hands.
thats funny that you say that controllers 40$, because thats actually how much i got my pro controller for used.
Do you think the Tiny controller or even the other ones would work for games like “Mario Party”? I’ve tried using the Wireless GameCube controller and even the license large nintendo switch pro controller for that game but it doesn’t work.
Imma get that 8bitdo zero 2 so I have i pocket size player 2
Finally another controller video
I got the retrobit origin8 and it's my new favorite time controller for my collection. I got it to play Gameboy and Gameboy advance games on nso and it's just perfect.
Wanna know what’s really portable? ......................JOY CONS 🤭🤭🤭🤭
Why don't they make the 8-bit do controller with a real d-pad for a d-pad and instead of having d-pads for joysticks have sliders for joysticks like on the 2DS. Then it is comfortable to use in 3D games but still thin and portable.
I just bought a used Zelda Horipad (for my Switch Lite no less :D).
Perfect I bet it'll sync great
@@kaseymagness510 Yeah, I should get it today so I'll test it out and let you know. I also made a cardboard stand XD.
@@kaseymagness510 Yeah, it works like a charm!
I have very small hands and needed small controllers cus the originals are too big and the big ones hurts my hands and fingers. I cant wait to buy myself sets of smaller controllers.
Size comparison? Would help to get an idea of the size to understand would we would like.
Love your vids
Thank you
I'm really wanting that Nano Enhanced Controller
Me tooo
I'm not a huge fan of the PDP's color. The D-pad just kinda sticks out in an awkward way.
Zero 2 "one of the smallest I've used"
Damn so you've used smaller?!
I've always loved the music on these videos!, is there anywhere I could listen to some of these tunes?
Hi i hope you see this and u Wonder if i should get super Mario oddesey or super Mario maker 2?
Smaller they are, shorter gaming sessions due to handcramps
It's pretty obvious that small controllers are literally made for portability and people with small hands...
Did you forget about the 8bitdo N30 Pro 2?
this guy is a sugar free Vsauce
You want a portable controller for the switch? Okay, this one should either be free or a little over 10-15 dollars if you need a tool kit. First, grab your official nintendo joycon grip, don't worry, this is completely reversible. Unscrew the 4 Tri wing screws on the back of the unit, allowing you to pry off the front of the grip. Next, unscrew the two tri wing screws you see inside, and the 4 phillips screws on the inner part of the handles, where the joycons would go. Slowly pry off the back of the handles, which will reveal the innards of the handles, remove the 4 large phillips screws holding the grip onto the rails, then, after removing the handles, reinsert the two Y screws on the inside, close it back up, and reinsert the 4 Y screws on the back. Do this correctly, and you should be left with a black rectangle with two rails on the side for you to slip your joycons into. Its slim enough to fit in your pocket, your carrying case, hell, anywhere.
My suggestion if you are a use joycons primarily, and prefer them over any other controller, but don't want to use them freehand, get the PDP pro charge grip. You can get this for 30 dollars off their website, but for only 20 dollars off of gamestop. It comes with the grip, which is made to make the joycons feel like the pro controller to some degree, a dock, for you to set the grip with joycons attached on to charge the joycons, and two raised thumb grips. Which if you use the Skull n Co thumb grips, trust me, these are better.
Idk if anyone cared but I'm gonna get a gamecube controller for my switch lite so I can play it while I'm out everywhere any specific controller other than a gamecube one that is recommended?
The 8bitdo pro plus is a pretty good controller
Why are you getting a controller for the switch lite? I feel like a grip would be the better option, being that it can’t be docked anyway.
@@4rtie well whenever I go out my sister always wants to play whenever I wanna and my cousin gave me his pro controller so I'm thinking of getting a controller for me and giving her a pro controller
Squishkeep keep the pro controller get her a cheaper controller the pro is the best switch controller so give her the cheap one
@@markercrayon457 he probably doesn't wanna lowball his sis like that though
You know how the JoyCons have that drift problem - mine don't but my WIRED Switch Pro-Controler Does!! WTF! How do I Get it Fixed???
You can take apart the controller, remove the joystick and either try to disassemble and fix it, or replace it entirely (recommended). If you send me a link to the controller I can probably find replacement sticks for you online
Those wired ones always have drift
Why did t u suggest the nes 30 pro controller by 8bitdo that in my opinion is the best small controller for switch
I actually want all these 🤯
They are small but good
U work is nice keep it up
how is the dpad on the Mario themed controller I'm thinking about getting it for 2d games
sup
ur vids are the best!
u didnt mention the 8biydo that looks like snes controller and analog sticks at the bottom like playstation
I bought a $17 controller on amazon. Lyyes is the brand. It's great. Feels like an xbox 1 controller. It has rumble and motion controls.
The $17 controller has a good d-pad and uses usbc
Why do you not have 1 million subscribers yet you should you deserve it
I like smaller controllers the joycon grip is almost perfect a little smaller would be better I like being able to hit everybutton without moving my fingers or reaching
I bought the switch lite pad and I wish it had the 3ds sliders instead
do you have merch?
PDP Little Wireless vs. 8bitdo N30 Pro 2. Any thoughts?
The pdp one is good, but go with the 8bitdo. Better quality.
Does the Hori Minipad work on pc as well?
people: wth why are the joy cons so smol and bad
8bitdo: HAHAHA *no this is definition of smol*
I bought a PDP Xbox controller and It just BROKE like after two monts.... And then there was no answer about the guarantee... so, no.
I'd say you've fallen off but you still have more everything compared to me haha
You should make a new video for this year!
I wouldn't buy the PDP, Id rather save up for a pro controller. I think PDP should have rumble for the price
Geez how many videos are you going to make on small switch controllers? I've lost count already...
You don’t actually need the motion controls for breath of the wild so
Those controllers look uncomfortable if you have huge hands.
Lol surprised you didn’t mention the pokeball +
Because it’s only to be used in Pokémon Let’s Go as a two button controller, and in Pokémon Go as the Pokémon Go Plus, and in Sword and Shield as a Pokewalker.
Does the Tom nook control have rumble?
Yes
I have.....16 Switch Controllers. Yikes.
i cant see the switch lite, i require the one that connects to a tv
Fun fact no one has fished this video yet
I did
xd Zaam check when I posted it and when the video was posted
Mike UK Atleast you understand :)
Mike UK says the 8 yearold
ShrekSophoneOfficial how ironic
Nah. You don't NEED motion controls on BOTW at all.
I got an ad that had you in it on a video made by you.
I think he forgot the sn30 pro although he mentioned it.
Morning Kevin
Awesome!!!!
As if the joycon wasn’t small enough
Dose anyone know the song ? The beginning 🔥

Why are there so many small controllers
