@Kevin Kenson I think you forgot to mention another pro thing about the Skull & Co. case: It’s compatible with the Switch dock, fits snuggly. That’s the second most important thing for me. You don’t have to attach/detach a grip every time you switch from handheld to dock mode.
I bought the Satisfye grip bundle with carrying case. Its awesome. The grip is perfect and i love the way it fits in the case with the grip on it. The case itself is so well made and holds all my switch accessories. A must buy for Switch Owners
yeah. Tbh it's getting pretty old. In my opinion Wulffden has better content, but that crispy production quality in the Johnathan Morrison studio does Kevin wonders.
I personally use the Satisfye grip at home when playing on the couch or whereever, but when I'm out all day or for days at times, I prefer the Skull & Co grip. Maybe it's just me, but I think it's nice with the extra protection when I'm out.
Well, I prefer Overears and basically wear mine almost all day. On vacations as well. Yes, I'm that weird dude running around with those big headphones. So comfortable. And when I don't use them, they fit comfortably around my neck. Tough I don't like the product anyway. A Bluetooth Dongle is the better approach, since you are able to use it on pretty much anything, and are able to use other Headphones like In ears, if one prefers those. But the fact that we need those Dongles to use wireless Headphones on the Switch still blows my Mind. Like common. Any fucking device supports those nowadays, except for the switch. Also, the Switch has fucking Bluetooth, that's what the damn controllers use. Wich also pisses me off, they could have easily enabled the option, but didn't. And they could have easily enable it via an Update. Wich didn't, and since it's 3 years out, they propably won't. Pisses me off quite a bit.
7:31 Power A controller doesn't save me money at all. Actually, they cause my wallet bleeding. . . . . Cuz they make sooooo many Zelda themed controller and I want to have them all
Oh yes please do a case video!!! I absolutely love the Switch Lite Flip case by Nintendo, as the fabric is a great feel and keeps my hands from getting sweaty
As much as this is another kind of cool infomercial, I was kind of wondering about the skull vs. satisfye cases for increased protection and comfort . This is helpful , thanks !
I did a shell replacement for my Joycons and Pro controller. I used shells from ExtremeRate. They are very good quaIity shells, if you ask me. The only downside is, in case of the JoyCons, is that the shell is a little bit thicker. This results that the buttons are slightly more sunken into the case as the default case. This is not a problem for me, but might be for you.
Pros to the wireless PowerA controller: Macro Buttons (Big Plus) Cheaper Uses Batteries (No need for an outlet in emergencies + just use rechargeable batteries)(Also has a long battery life)(Not to mention, warning light when low) Significantly Lighter (Not a con) Easier access to Sync Button Cons No NFC (just use a Joycon) No Vibration (only matters in Odyssey)
The official Pro Controller is the first accessory anyone should buy after buying a Switch. Especially if you need big buttons and triggers for meaty man hands.
I like the YOK ERGO Grip personally. It's sort of like a combination of the Satisfye and Skull&Co. (better support for the weight vs the Satisfye, similar grip shape to the Skull&Co.) with game slots in the back for storage, and can be plugged into the charger and so on. Kind of cheapy plastic (potentially slippery) but for comfort and usability, it's basically perfect. Can easily remove joy cons while the switch is still snapped into the grip as well, and can use/access all ports (including the kickstand + SD port) with it attached. Basically no reason to ever take it off, though I'm not sure if it fits in the dock with the grip on or not since I haven't really used my switch in dock mode, but you'd probably have to take it off for that due to girth. Only issue I have (and it's kind of a small one) is that it's a lil' tough to snap in and remove the switch from the grip due to the top and bottom support it provides, so a small caveat to an otherwise pro for the design. Kind of feels...jarring I suppose when you snap it into place and a lil effort to take off without feeling a tad rough, but maybe it's just because I treat my Switch like a baby (lil' overprotective basically).
I have the Afterglow Prismatic controller and I LOVE it. You can buy wireless or wired. (I have wireless) It is a very cool pro controller and a very great choice for a pro controller.
Kevin do a case video! I think it would be rad to see your perspective on the Switch's protection options...there are soooo many videos out there that do it, but none are good. You definitely should do it
While it wouldn't give you the purple she'll case there's skin decals that replicate the insides of your switch parts. I'd prefer the shell change, but it is an option for people who might not feel comfortable doing that but still want that look.
Kevin, I really want you to do the cases video, but instead I want you to narrow it down to the best thin carrying cases. I'm currently looking for a great thin carrying case for my Switch and that video would help me out a lot. Thanks!
The best third party controller is the Surge Switchpad. It has gyro, rumble, its wireless with a good battery, its got assignable back buttons and turbo. And its $30 Canadian. The only negative thing about it is the triggers are mushy and aren't that satisfying. On a side note I got the satisfye grip with their big case and its amazing.
I've been thinking about exchanging the shell for the switch lite and have noticed there are already screen replacements for the lite available which if you wanted to, purchase another screen in order to leave the original screen with the original casing thus alleviating the risk of breaking the screen when trying to remove it from the original shell...
Cases would be great. I‘m searching one for all standard stuff (power, tv stand, etc) and 2 pro controller. I can find only one case that holds 2 pro controller.
@@tylrdxm there are many different types, and he could inform on which are the best and which to avoid. He could talk about the quality of some or which would protect the games best. Even talk about the storage capacity of the cases. This is the Kevinator; his team can make any video look nice.
There is 3 accessories you forgot to review & that is the mClassic, mCable & Cinema edition. I have all 3 combined working together & it really makes a difference than just using the mClassic alone. You should review all 3 in a daisy chain effect that really gives the games a nice look.
I know this is a video about Nintendo Switch accessories, but it was worth mentioning that the 8BitDo Controller supports Windows 10, Android, Mac and Raspberry as well... so it is so much more versatile for multi platform use. I have both, the Pro stays at home with the switch, but the 8BitDo travels with me since it is perfect with my Surface Book and my Android phone for gaming on the go (the switch is mostly used by my son on the go). Also the replaceable battery on the 8BitDo makes it a better long term investment since you can use AA batteries once the rechargeable one dies...
Love my SkullandCo grip for the Switch. The only problem is my joycons have those dbrand skins on them, and I still havent found a grip that doesnt peel part of it up when its inserted
Power A is my go to because of those back buttons. Games occasionally require you to steer with the left stick and hit the Letter button at the same time if you expect to steer and shoot at the same time...My perfect controller would be a Nintendo Pro Controller with back buttons, but that's clearly never gonna happen.
I feel like in terms of controllers the surge switch pad pro is the best price at 30$ along with quality as it has gyro, rumble, motion controls and easy pairing
I love the Satysfy grip, but I can't use mine anymore because if you have a Dbrand skin on the console. it leaves dents. It doesn't damage the console at all, but just seeing those dents kind of botehrs me.
Hey Kevin, I was wondering if you could take a look at some wireless options for playing in docked mode? I prefer to play on my TV rather than in handheld, but I can’t do that quietly.
Hey Kevin, i found the Satisfye Switchgrip from your vidoe on amazon, but they have it listed twice with carrycases and thumbsticks for over $150 Canadian, either way your video helped me pick out an affordable alternative with an ergonomic grip, will email a picture when it arrives if you want so you could do a future video including it later on.
I regret getting the PowerA controller. The only plus it has for me is that it comes in different themes and can wake the Switch. Otherwise it is cheaply feeling, you can hear the springs when you press the buttons and it feels plastic overall. No vibration. Small and uncomfortable d-pad. It's horrible that they are officially endorsed when 8bitdo would make one helluva better job at it than PowerA.
For the Bluetooth wireless option you guys should check out the Gulikit it's cheaper and does the same exact thing. Plus its ultra slim... Fits in the slim satisfye case while connected to the switch...
You know there’s a PowerA ENHANCED wired controller right, I prefer the wired one over the wireless. Because of price, play time, and simplicity. I’m going to buy it this weekend, because I’ve read multiple reviews on it being REALLY good, hopefully it lives up to the hype!
Pretty sure most wireless earbuds/headset that's bluetooth 5.0 should be immune to latency issues. 2019 had tons of options, people. You don't have to give Apple 200 bones just for something decent - even if you want that Apple mic quality.
The accessory market really boomed since the Switch hit the shelves, it's fun to see what different companies come up with.

I need headphones for when I'm docked. I have a 25 foot cable for my headphones but all that cable really has an impact on sound quality.
Michael Cranston The switch supports usb headphones and I hear the PlayStation ones works great
Toogy MacJarrow it does? I tried using my Razer ones but it doesn’t work
I use the Sony Platinums and they definitely work docked with the switch. Just plug the dongle into a USB on the dock and it’ll sync.

I like the YOK ERGO Grip personally.
