My old Ford pickup had those wing windows that caught the air and forced it straight into the cab. Best invention ever. Too bad the new ones don't have them.
Y’all never cease to amaze me. Your days are always long, busy and I am sure hard. But your humor and antics always brighten my days. You are SO appreciated 💕
👈South Texas Cattle and Hay says congratulations on the needed rain. In our area were we are being invaded by 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃♀️ from Mexico. we got our windows dotted yesterday, sure could use a bunch more. Cole nice of you to get your feet dirty to pull your dad out of the mud. Keep safe guys.
I remember bouncing down the road at 13 years old to the COOP in my friends grain trucks trying to beat the cutoff. I wasn’t allowed to legally drive a car to school but I could jam 20,000 pounds of wheat down the road no problem.
You and Dad were blessed with the rain Dad thought he was a kid again going thru the mud hole. Yes those bins holds a lot of corn thank goodness it wasn’t too hot to empty out. Next one I’d do earlier in morning keep your wonderful videos coming 🚜🧨🙏😇💖❤️❤️
Cole look into getting a few of the Solar Battery Tenders. They will save you a ton of time. We started using them on our farm 8-10 years ago and have yet to deal with a dead battery. They even work in the winter here in Alaska with only 3 hrs of sun a day at -50f.

Cole, these types of videos are very satisfying. You guys work all year trying to fill those bins. It's nice seeing them getting emptied and brought to market. Never gets old.
Interesting video today. Glad you got rain. It is so fascinating watching you empty the grain bin. I always wondered how you do that. South Dakota skies are so beautiful. Thanks!
That's awesome you got all that rain, isn't that unheard of in July? I mean 3 inches, wow! I sure hope we get some of that rain heading our direction, still in the mid 90's and only a little over a half an inch in 5 weeks. Ellie has the fancy leggins on, so cute in them too. Good job on the corn, thanks for the video. Have a great weekend!
I love all your camera angles. I know that takes your time but all the views from the grain bin and the truck just gives me so many views. I feel like I’m there. Pretty cool. And I don’t have to lift a finger.
The 4010 must only show up once every other year. Didn't see it on the equipment tour. But thought I saw in the back ground once. One of my all time favorites. Right behind a 6030. Thanks for all the great content. Usually learn something and am always entertained.
So awesome to hear you got more rain!! Seems like all the other farmers I follow across the country are struggling with either too much or not enough. Good way to wake up on a Saturday morning
That is farming! Either too much or not enough! Lol! We had a multi billion dollar rain last week. Tri-state area Missouri Illinois Iowa. Little bit more couple days ago.
Soil is different everywhere but I drill a 2' hole about 8' deep, hit sand & gravel . Then back fill the hole with sand and the wet spot self drains. Still working 2 years later. I really like your channel.
So glad you got the rains y'all needed. 👍 We have an Australian artist called Pro Hart n he used to make his amazing art pieces with many techniques(painting) & all sorts of things(sculptures). He then did a very funny advert for a carpet cleaner where he used spaghetti, cakes, biscuits etc to make a stunning dragonfly "painting". His housekeeper upon seeing the messy carpet used the cleaning product n it came up a treat. The catch line she uttered was "Oh Mr Hart what a mess!" & when I saw Ellie I uttered "Oh Miss Ellie what a mess!". 😆 Love our Aussie Pro Hart n love Miss Ellie, mud, muck n all! And goof to see Uncle Jefferino. 😊🙏💙🦘
When I was a little kiddle my dad had a 4020 JD with a cab & I would ride with him and when I got tired I'd sleep on the floor down by the foot pedals. I always loved riding in the tractor.
Great seeing you all got rain 🌧 California, Nevada, & Arizona again in another year of Severe drought causing counties to limit grass watering to only 2 days a week for 8 mins a time with water restricted sprinkler heads... Some people literally are tearing our their grass & replacing with plastic artificial lawns... Actually look pretty bur not feet friendly as they get extremely HOT & difficult to walk on Hugs & Blessings to you all 🙏❤️💙💙🐕🤗✝️
I love to see how you Cole, and your Dad, work together but also how you have this wonderful rapport and humor together. It truly brightens my day to watch your videos! Congratulations on getting several loads of green into town. It’s a tug-of-war between taking time to get that into town versus work on the farm but it Hass to be done and it’s money in the bank. Great video and GREAT SONG of the DAY😊❣️❣️
looking a little different around there cole with all the rain. Glad you guys got something are corn is just staring to tassel. God bless you and your family.
That bin work is sure glamorous! That's a side of farming a lot of folks never see. Glad y'all are getting the rain, it will make those crops sing! Fun fact of the day, while The Eagles did make "Take it Easy" famous (or more famous!) it was written by Jackson Browne who does a fine job of it too!
Great decision on buying the feed wagon for your operation. Amazing how dry you were and the rain you got that there's water sitting around. I see the temperatures in the next week are supposed to be triple digits, that water will definitely disappear fast. I sure wish we had that blue conveyor for loading trucks back in the day when I was on the farm because our auger hopper always had a big pile of corn around it that you had to scoop back into the hopper. Cole would it help if you had both trucks full and be sitting in line first thing in the morning before they open up. I bet you will have another big crop of Alfalfa with all the rain you have been getting. Stay cool and hydrate in the heat coming up next week.
Thanks for another great video. Most interesting and enjoyable for sure. Liked seeing Brian’s 4010 John Deere. That is a keeper. Those tractors are sought after by collectors. Glad you are keeping it. Get it going again and use for parades and such. Ellie could have used a wash job with the hose. When our dog was like that we just took the garden hose to her. Got most of the mud off anyway. Have a possible suggestion for you. We had three or four battery tenders that we rotated around with the equipment to prevent dead batteries. You can get them fairly cheap now days. And they even have solar models now too. Might save you from always using the battery charger. Just something you might look into. Just saying. You got lots of rain. Never saw that much water around your farmstead. Wow. Cole pulling dad out of the mud-there is a new one. Good job Brian rocking the four wheeler back and forth and out of the mud. Makes for an interesting day. The rain is sure good for the crops but not the cow pens. Oh my. Good song of the day. The Eagles have good music. Thanks Brian. Corn hauling to town. The farmers having semi’s was just after our days. We had two sets of double gravity wagons that we used. We thought we were in the big time then. Pulled them with 1850 Oliver and no cab. How nice now days/wow. Time changes everything!!!! Good luck on getting the bins empty and hopefully the elevator will not be too busy. Remember those days. Oh boy. Love you using the wing vents on the truck cab. Do not see them too often now days. Even cars had those back in the day. Time flys. About it I guess. You both take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything Cole and Brian. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Aww poor girl she just wants to go in and lay down. She sure had some fun mudding today. Brian looked like he tried some mudding with quad but got stuck lol. Happy u guys got some rain.
We’ve had the same Kuhn Knight feed wagon for 25 years only replaced the augers and sleeves around them once. Just yesterday we upgraded again and bought a brand new feed truck to replace the old one. Upgrades people upgrades
Good afternoon Sonne Farms. Y'all seem to be doing well. My first job was cutting tobacco on a farm in Southern Maryland . Hot dirty work. Hack the leafy stalk with a machete. . Spear it with a sharp metal pointed dart on the end of a wooden stake. Once you get about twelve soggy tobacco plants on one of those sticks, it weights about 75 pounds. Throw it on the back of the pick-up truck and move on. The highest paid guy on the crew was the one who actually stood at the very top of the barn hanging those stakes in the rafters, but working his way down. His nickname was "High Beam." . Everyday, I used to fold my hands pray for rain. 😁 Just kidding. Actually, it was very rewarding work for a 14 year old too young to get a work permit. We'd get paid in cash everyday twice right around lunchtime and again at quitting time. Back then, you'd get a pretty decent cold cut sub and a 20 oz. fountain soda at the local family owned convenience store across the highway from the farm for $1.25. (one hour's wage for me at the time. And yes, the convenience store was owned by the same family that owned the farm.
Cole - you should've told your dad to "Do it for the tube." and hammered the throttle - THAT would've been a great thumbnail - a wall of tire spray behind you LMAO Good to see you got your moisture, now the sun needs to go to work and grow grow grow those crops!!!
At video time 48 seconds it is funny they are using a chain to pull their stuck 4 wheeler out with and they have some yankum ropes that could do it as well lol
Chains can be thrown on the ground all muddy after use, allowed to dry and then shaken; the dry mud fals off; and that mud won't degrade them. KERR (Kinetic Energy Recovery Ropes) need lots of washing.... otherwise the mud can destroy the fibres in the ropes...... possibly leading to them breaking when you go to use them after soaking them in mud.
I never knew u had to sweep out the grain bin....wow.... that's a tough job😳 I also didn't think you'd get your dad out of the mud😁 but I guess it's not your first rodeo huh???? Great video...keep the good times coming! God bless you all ❤️

I think Brain breaks stuff just so he can go to Storla Station.
My old Ford pickup had those wing windows that caught the air and forced it straight into the cab. Best invention ever. Too bad the new ones don't have them.
Thats called 460 air conditioning. 4 windows open at 60 miles an hour.

N I C E,... There isn't no shortage of hay this coming winter, Aye Boys.
I found a lot of humor in your Dad being stuck and needing a tow!!
good job, 't'hank you for working so hard. Thank God for the rain.
Hello along with the rain comes good things. Have a great day.
Liked that wiggle and a jiggle that your Dad gave to get the 4 wheeler out of the mudhole. Good move Dad. Funny how the rain can be so isolated.

One of the last times I rode in a vehicle with the wings open, we drove through a honeybee swarm. That got interesting for a little bit.
Looks like Ellie needs a rinse off with the pressure washer. After rain like that, the drone would be fun to see all the moist places.
