Cole and Brian , I know you both realize it , but y’all are so blessed to share the work , the sweat the tears ,laughs and love working side by side together . Thanks for all the great content , here’s wishing y’all a successful year!
I just love your channel and all that you manage to get in one video. You’re so lucky the relationship you have with your father. We all prayed for rain and now you have an abundance of it, but not so much that you won’t be able to get your crops in❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ God always knows exactly what we need. You’ll have enough moisture in the ground up when you do plant your crops the seeds or take. That was pretty funny when your dad thought the cardboard hanging on the fence was a Moose!! He always makes me laugh as do you. Both of you have great sense of humors😃
It's 05:00 here in South Africa. What a good time to watch Sonne Farms just before starting another day. So glad that the rains have started. God bless you all. See you next time.
Having grown up next door to a huge dairy farm in Eastern Connecticut I really enjoy watching your episodes. I tell everybody that if I had to grow up all over again I would do it just the way we did it. My brothers and I spent almost all of our late elementary and high school years and for me college years working on the farm. What a great learning experience. So thank you for sharing your experiences as well.
Glad to here you are getting plenty of rain and missed out on the nasty weather yesterday. You had better luck than your fellow UA-camrs to the east. Many prayers and good vibes to everyone.
Yay! Got to see Brian's midlife Hereford heifers! Hope none of those bulls go fence-jumping! Sending prayers for all the farmers - South Dakota & flooded Minnesota & Manitoba. 💕💕
Thank you Cole & Brian, awesome video. It's a real joy to watch you both, just doing what your doing lol. So glad you all got some rain, hope and pray you get all you need. Take care, stay safe and healthy.
I think Brian hinted that he wants another grandson or granddaughter soon, Cole! 😂😉 Don’t cut off anything valuable with that hand operated bandsaw, or all bets are off. 😳
The grass looks great! You did such a good job with the wire winder. Love when you edit in Brian explaining what and why - like the feed. Love that you all are doing research to compare the angus and Herefords and their feed.
So, from a non-farmer understanding, are the minerals and pellets like a way to have the cattle gain weight efficiently or is it just healthier for their system...? Aside from the added protein, are there more reasons that us non-farmers don't get? This is the type of beef production that really interests me. What feed, why that feed, and how it compares across farms/regions.
Most farm animals need mineral supplements for many reasons. The soil is depleted, it's not their natural environment or diet, they are very different from their wild ancestors. Most wild animals also eat some still and rock and sell out tasty mineral sources. The protein percentage is important for proper weight management. It's a delicate balance.
Really glad for you guys getting the much much needed rain. I'd guess you aren't minding dealing with the mud, a good problem to have, given the dry situation out there. Your looking good on the green up, hopefully the rains will continue. Thanks for sharing, hope you all have a wonderful, safe, week ahead.
Cole, Does your Bull that is limping need to have a hoof looked at? Do you watch the HoofGP on UA-cam? I Really Enjoy your videos and the way you and your Dad work so we’ll together. Good luck 🍀 with this years growing season. 🇺🇸💪😎
Yay!!!!! Rain!!!! Seriously though it’s nice to see a family run business working well together. I’m not a farmer but I thoroughly enjoy watching and learning from y’all! Thank you so much for your live and livelihood with us❣️
The brown cattle are almost as beautiful as the black ones! Love how you want to give them treats to get use to you! Spoiled! Glad you got some water. Ground just a little moist ?
Seems like so far you guys are getting the good soaking rains right on time for when you've just planted. Boy, you can't beat that! Hope it continues and those crops are divine this year. We have another round of snow coming in Thursday but in between, we've been getting dumped on with rain. Brings about that love/hate relationship with MUD! If we could make money selling mud right now? We might be millionaires! Then we could use all that money to buy 10 small bales of crappy hay cuz that's the price for hay up here LOL! Enjoy the beautiful greening up my friends. It's glorious! 💯
Pretty rare for the Dakotas, Nebraska, etc. to be wetter than we are here in Alabama, but that's the case! Pretty serious early season drought going on here. Glad for y'all getting rain, it will serve you well!
B/W face or model face if the calf comes out with white on its face sometimes the face is all white then we like to call black boldly.and they can stay solid black or red. That Texas ways
Thanks for another great video. Most interesting time of the year. Great the rain ☔️ you are getting with crop in the ground. Good going Sonne’s!!!!! Really nice looking bulls you have there. You and dad raise some beautiful cows and bulls. Am sure they will do their job. Great to see high quality herds. Like your new tools. Neat what they have now days. Milwaukee makes excellent tools. Few more dollars but worth it. Thanks for the rundown on your feed mix plans. Very interesting. Sounds and looks like excellent feeds. Thanks Brian and Cole. Missed the song of the day??? You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything Cole and Brian. So appreciate the way you two work together. Great relationship to have. Thanks The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
My father would answer the phone when it was a telemarketer. . . .Jefferson County Morgue. . .(crickets) . . .click. . . . .LOL. They would hang up on him every time. 😂
You guys hit the gold mine! (Timely rain!) Well deserved. Grass growing, corn popping, next year's calf crop starting and haying is right around the corner! Doesn't get any better than that in South Dakota. Love your state and your good look I ng Governor. Thanks for taking us along, great video!
I was intrigued by the " Brian Sonne Sexy Education Hour". I asked my mom if dad was good at " providing a spark" and she said without even thinking, " At one time he was but his striker is worn out." Please email me about what that means. My wife just said that my matches got wet." I need to ask somebody what that means too." I might ask the mailman. He's a great guy. I have driven by and seen his mail truck at the house for hours at a time. My wife said he comes by to drop off a special delivery. Now, THAT is service!
There was an old bull and a young coming over the top of a hill. They looked down to see a field full of cows. The young bulls eyes got wide and he said to old bull "Let's run down there and get a cow!!" The old bull said "No lad, let's walk down and get 'em all"
Glad to see you got your much needed Rain , good for you. FYI - I purchased a Milwaukee hand blower because of you guys & love it. Thanks for recommending them.
Love, love love the Sonne Farms videos. I am so grateful you got the very much needed rain. No whining about the mud. Coke! I loved splashing in the puddles. 💧💦
Nothing like a Sonne Farms video on a beautiful day here in RI. All the kattles are looking great! Glad you're getting some rain, sure hope you can get in the fields soon! Have a good rest of the day!
So relieved that you are getting rain! Keep praying for rain for the southwest...we are in a severe drought and water is becoming a precious commodity. A few fires in Arizona, big ones in New Mexico! Getting hot fast. I am glad to see all your cattle looking good and crops getting planted! God Bless Y'all and Storla Station 🙏🙏!
I mean, come on, that's like the best birds and the bees story I've ever heard.
Always fun when a movie star like Ellie puts in a cameo appearance.
Cole and Brian , I know you both realize it , but y’all are so blessed to share the work , the sweat the tears ,laughs and love working side by side together . Thanks for all the great content , here’s wishing y’all a successful year!

Acme Tools is a great company to buy from. I’ve used them numerous times.
Crops may be a little late getting in but the pastures and the hay this spring will awesome!
The grass looks great! You did such a good job with the wire winder. Love when you edit in Brian explaining what and why - like the feed. Love that you all are doing research to compare the angus and Herefords and their feed.
I like the honesty. The reason I did it this way was because, well I just wanted to. Best logic yet.
Aaawww ... how nice of your Dad to finally have "the talk" with you ... when a bull loves a heffa

For their health

I still like to play with runoff water when hosing down my plants. I was a kid before your Dad was born. 💘 🐂 🐕 🇺🇸
