OPEN WATER: PUERTO MORELOS, MEXICO (MARCH 2024)

First time scuba diving in Mexico! Our trip was organized by Pan Aqua Diving Shop in New York City and was simply a wonderful way to get a winter break in the beautiful Riviera Maya located in the Yucatán Peninsula. Located less than an hour south of Cancun we got to stay at Ojo de Agua Hotel and our diving activities were scheduled by Wet Set Dive Shop just a few steps from the hotel. Perfect place for scuba diving beginners as most of the dives were pretty chilled with regards to current/depth/visibility conditions with beautiful large schools of tropical fish. During our trip we got to do some shore diving(which included a night dive), a wreck dive, and even get to experience our first Cenote/Cavern Dive at Chikin Ha Cenote about an hour drive from Puerto Morelos. We need to thank our group leader Karen Sterling as well as David Tosi, Juan Magliano, Lara Birkhart, and all the crew from Wet Set Diving and Snorkeling Adventures for making our scuba experience so awesome!
