  • How do I decide between contract-to-hire and direct hire as a hiring authority?
In this video, human resources expert Ricky Baez and staffing company owner Pete Newsome discuss the pros and cons of contract-to-hire and direct-hire placement.
But first, let's define both. Direct hire staffing is when a recruiter at a staffing firm helps hire a permanent staff member on behalf of a client. These are usually full-time positions with benefits.
On the other hand, contract-to-hire is when a staffing agency places a candidate at one of their clients for a duration of time, usually 3-6 months, with the potential to convert to a permanent employee after that contract is up. This employee will be on the staffing agency's payroll until the contract is completed.
Tune in to find out which one is better for your company!

I don't mess with contract-to-hire!! I either do contract or direct hire, only!! The trial run period is trash in reference to contract-to-hire!! I don't and won't do it!!

What happen to salary when you do get hired? Does it decrease due to benefits package? By how much?
