Hey, no worry about getting under the car. I just sold my absolutely mint running 2016 TD6 with 280,000km on it, and bought another with 95,000 for less! I changed the 5W30 Castrol every 6000KM, fuel & air filter every 2nd oil change. I did have a buddy who said that with a 3m slim siphon, he was able to get at least another 500ml of bottom oil out of it, by running the smaller diameter hose directly down the siphon to the bottom of the sump; I haven't tried this but will. The best thing I ever bought was the Ottofix LR specific OBD tool, saved some serious cash on diagnostics & resets.
Great video, thank you so much for making it, I was able to follow it along myself and do the oil change myself too using the products you’d recommended and I purchased them using your link. Only thing I’d have asked for is if you could have shown taking the oil filter out in real time or if you could have said how you pulled it out as I did find that quite hard. Thanks again for the brilliant video. This was the only one where I could find for this exact model Range Rover.
Thanks so much! Glad it helped with most of your oil change, sorry about the oil filter part. Some things you just do so often, that you kinda forget to be thorough with documenting it. But I’m glad it’s helped you out. I agree and it is quite hard to find DIY videos on Range Rover, probably cause they are such heavy cars and not a lot of people would want to do the work themselves at home. I tried the extended lift mode, but can’t seem to do it on this Range Rover. Which is why I ended up opting to use the extractor, which did such a good job pulling the oil out. Many thanks again! 🙏
@@WhatThePun I didn’t want to even be that guy and say anything negative, (and I didn’t mean it in a negative way) but I thought, if it could help you and then future viewers for your future videos, then hopefully it could be helpful. I’d seen another video where they had shown the difference between using an oil extractor vs removing sump plug and there was only about a 100ml difference max I think. Your method and videography description was perfect, and am so glad I stumbled across your video, the oil change was so easy and am so glad I didn’t have to get under the car 😂. I do get it is sometimes tedious especially when you’re so used to it 😂.
@@ryansxperiance I didn’t take it in a negative way at all, really appreciate you mentioning it. Just some of these things you can forget or not think about, until someone gives you feedback. Honestly really appreciate it! 😊 I still struggle with removing the oil filter housing on my other cars too. Sometimes such a pain to remove! 😂😂
I tried that, after watching countless UA-cam videos. Just wouldn’t go into super extend mode? 🤷♂️ I would have preferred to do it that way and drain the oil from the pan too.
Thanks Ryan! 👍 I think it was roughly just under 6 litres. I started monitoring the dipstick level after 5 litres. I always worry about over filling to be fair 😅

Super extend the air suspension no need for trolley jack :)
I tried that, after watching countless UA-cam videos.

It's easy extend fully with button place something under the jacking point lower the suspension then it detects it and rises further than before.
@@mfoster7453 that’s exactly what I tried
🤷♂️
In the end, I didn’t want to waste anymore time. So just used the oil extractor instead.
How much oil did you put in? Great video !
Thanks Ryan! 👍
