- Always wondered what would happen if you slapped a fuel injection set up on a tired old stock unit? Wonder no more, I did it, it was easy, cheap and unlike everyone else............ Holley didn't give it to me free, so you'll get the REAL skinny on this set up!!
Sniper 235 250 292 in-line six
Aussiespeed Intake manifold swap!!
Headers too!!
Moving those brake lines is a fabulous idea. You dont want the fluid to boil. Order a fuel pump block off plate and get rid of that mess and I'm willing to bet lokar has a universal cut to fit throttle assembly to connect it to your pedal. Cant wait for a first test drive and comments on improved power. 🤘
Great tips!! I’ll look into Lokar tonight!!
I have a 1981 Chevy g10 with a straight six 250. Only 43k miles. Needs some love and looking forward to doing the work myself.
Easily the best mod I did to that in-line 6
Holly Snipers like to have coolant temperature also. Mine won't learn till 160 degrees.
Good to know, this is my first one so I’m learning too!
I'm glad to help. Mine was the first one for me.
Correct. I just finished mine with temp wiring for everything.
Did you lock up the vacuum advance as stated in instructions?
I don’t recall what I had for breakfast let alone if I locked up the vacuum 2 years ago lol, sorry I can’t be of more help
Nice set up, I was just wondering where did you get your brake booster and master cylinder from, I had done the disc brake conversion (6 lugs) on my 63 c10, but it still needs power brakes.
I think this set came from KMS tools
Do you have a lumped head on this too or is this just the stock head with new intake and fuel delivery? What are you gaining with this mod?
Well instead of fighting to get it to start, run, accelerate, not stumble….. it just lights off, accelerates and responds to the throttle fast and without a doubt there are power gains. Now….. can I do more, sure….. absolutely but at the time of this video I couldn’t get my meat hooks on a cam anywhere so I left it with just the intake and Sniper….no regrets either.
@@shortcutgarage Nice. I just looked online and am trying to nail down which exact sniper model supports up to 250-300hp. Seems like ~250hp id the max sweet spot to hope for with the ported and lumped modded head for these.
Great video & Information. Did you need an adapter plate to get the EFI body onto the Aussie intake? If so, which one? I ordered the same setup for my '65 GMC van...
Yes and no, I had a two barrel sniper set up so I just used a 2 barrel to 4 barrel adapter plate from the parts store. Nothing fancy. Had I used a 4 barrel Holley Sniper it would have bolted right on.
You mever mentioned O2 sensor ,?

How do u like the aussie intake? Is it better than a clifford?
I’ve never run a Clifford but I will say I would buy the Aussie again, great intake!!
Your fuel pressure gauge is on the wrong side. Right next to the gauge is fuel regulator. The other side is the high pressure side. I know because I did the same thing. Had no fuel pressure. I even bought a new pump and filters before I learned the gauge was on the wrong side.
She is on the pressure side for sure, I bled the line before plumbing it in for the final time, I did have it on the wrong side initially though lol 😂
Nothing simple ,
Perspective I suppose
Took the one that came on my friends truck. Would never run a whole day. Holly was no help. Put a carb back on best thing I ever did. The music junked another video 👎👎👎👎👎💩💩💩😬
🎶 🎵 🎼 still learning how to edit over here 😂
@@shortcutgarage good videos don’t have music
Good videos have music during timelapse portions. Thanks for sharing your install.
