PURGING WITH MY KIN!!! WE FORCE THE HORDES TO HEEL!!! A TRILLION BODIES SPRAWLED!!! A DISEASE WE CAN HEAL!!!
How much is t3 in pateron
Thank you, such a fun game can't wait to watch the hellsreach campaign. I've been a longtime fan and love the way the channel is heading and to whomever is reading this have a great day!
For ages, I was interested in this hobby but just couldn't sit through a two-hour report without getting bored. Your tightly-edited videos have gotten me into this hobby, and this format maximizes everything I love about this game. I can't wait for more 40k Feature on Play on Tabletop!
Glad you like our style
Exactly what happened to me
I used to play all the time but quit 10 years ago. I still like watching it though. If you want to play and don't want a battle to last hours I would suggest going with the "40k in 40 minutes" rules. You can play a game pretty dang quick and its really fun, towards the end of of my playing that's the rules I was using majority of the time.
Im just too broke haha
@@PlayOnTabletop dude the music is epic with this. Fits the orks style well
Ghazghkull's kamikaze charge through the frontline was big Ork energy
As much as I love the head to head huge army vs huge army, I'd love to see some bigger tables and greater terrain variety for these narrative/apocalypse games where the units have space to move around and make interesting plays
Was just thinking the same.
I prefer the smaller setup for these massive fights, its how its imagined in the literature, hordes of combatants
Agree. Movement and tactics were totally redundant here.
@@dadwrestler yes but its in the millions planet wide... imagine they play it on a full city
Yeah, that's pretty sad. Something that should be epic and exciting is a boring dice rolling exercise where players themselves are hardly even necessary. That's WH40K, sadly :(
It really feels like the table is too small for the scale of battle you guys are going for here. It's really unfortunate that you don't have more space! Still, a fun battle overall.
My thoughts exactly. AoE effects in this battle are way too OP.
Love the narrative missions, I would love to see our golden guard of Terra.
We have an episode shot and awaiting an editor
So much yes... love to see the golden boys
I love them as well! (can't say the same for the thunder warriors though)
@@PlayOnTabletop holy shit
Nick's enjoyment, his glee and excitement make this infinitely better!
...and then Jim shits on his parade. Excellent.
So much funn
Jim is just very, very good at this. Gotta love the man.
@@robertjahnigen424 thank you! Glad you liked it!
@@JimJones-ur3el Gaz getting a swipe at Yarrick as he goes down and bringing him within a dice roll of his life was the most narratively appropriate outcome for those two. Edge of my seat the whole time. I read a lot about Armageddon when I first started looking at 40k in 3rd and 4th edition, so this was a treat to watch.
You guys have literally broken all other 40k games on UA-cam for me. The production value and effort you put in is godly for a few blokes throwing dice!
It'd be great if at the end of the editing process, the editor could compile all the special effects parts like lasers firing. It'd look like a short animation of the action, and the destroyed units would be removed in rapid real-time. I know that's way more work but I'd love to see it!
I love this!!
Hell yeah
This is such a cool idea!
"Orks is never beaten"
Alpha Chad Nick: "I BEG TO DIFFER"
This sh*t is awesome, I will watch with me and my little army of necrons and space marines 😂😂😂😂😂
*Your little army is positioned towards the screen 📺
Indomitus box? It's where I started and here I am now with 3k points in space marines and 2k in necrons 🤣😂
@@eddieballaris2939 naw command and elite starters, I bought them both for more terrain and men
Yarick proving himself one of the most badass men in the Imperium.
I didn't understand a single thing but both players were having the time of their lives so I had a lot of fun. The editing is top notch!
We need more of this type of Battle Report. These legendary battles are incredible.
that was actually one of the BEST ones yet, well done guys
The visuals to show what units were lost/remaining at the end of each phase is such an ingenious inclusion! Please keep it around even for normal-sized batreps!
This was cool, imagine if the Guard had a Codex. God between Tau, Genestealers, and Guard getting their codex later this year I think this is the year of Nick.
Indeed. Imagine if GW cared about Guard as much as they cared about any other faction.
@@Bluecho4 Given how this "Incredible year for Chaos" is going I'm feeling pretty optimistic about a Guard codex release
@@corvus15 still no v9 codex yet 😭😭
@@alanndeleau5085 Sadly true. Maybe Guard will get their 9E Codex after the Squats. And World Eaters. But it's gotta come out sometime before 10th Edition, right?
@@corvus15 I hope so 😥
The production value here is INSANE! I haven't played 40k in years and I don't plan to start again any time soon, but your videos are always an amazing reminder of how great this community is. Bravo!
If this doesn't prove that imperial guard need a massive rework idk what does, but at the same time what an amazing battle
I mean I love Nick, but his Target priority was way off. I think it could have gone a lot better.
Not to mention it probably would have been better to bring in the Templar during a different phase
@@andrewcrawford8306 yea I also have to agree with you there focusing on those meganobz was dumb but guard still need a serious rework
That was a delight! I really, really enjoyed the design of the scenario, the to-and-fro, and just the cinematic quality of the battle - the Warlord turning up and melting Jerry was a real 'here come the cavalry' moment.
As a person who is really new to Warhammer, seeing a game so well put together, in such an epic scale like this, it's a really great format. If this is just a pilot episode, I'd love to see more.
As a guard AND black templar player this was epic af..but turn 1 was frustrating to watch lol spread out that artillery Nick!
I know the felling sins im also a Black templars player
You'd think "Split Fire Nick" would be more willing to spread out his shots.
same. Tactically he should have just shot at everything instead of focusing on one unit
Your editing, film quality is excellent.
Thank you for making these videos, they're awesome. Actually you're awesome!
You are awesome for watching!
Loved the episode of two massive armies clashing. The enthusiasm of Nick and James is contagious, while Tycho narrates is amazing. Keep doing what you guys are doing, it's so much fun watching.
Wow, this was AWESOME! I've always enjoyed the channel for the faster style of editing you all do, and the kick-ass battles like this! I'd love to see more of this sort of thing, perhaps Genestealers fighting Custodes under Terra, or Mechanicus defending a research site on a Necron Tomb World, or Eldar assaulting a Chaos portal to try and shut it down.
Or Tyranids rushing the Squat homeworlds, I'd love to see that :P
In any case, rock on, you guys have inspired me to get my marines out there and I can't wait to see what else you come up with!
So far the reception of this pilot episode seems good so there is a chance we will do more
A. W. E. S. O. M. E. Fantastic Batrep. That Warlord was loaded. Let's keep them coming! For the Emperor!
FOR THE EMPEROR!!!!
Fucking insane production, fellas. What a great reenactment! I love this so much!
I just love the idea of the Warlord Titan showing up, the priceps looking at Jerry and beeing like... "Yeah that's in insult to the Omnisiah, Moderati, I don't want to see that any longer"
Honestly so hyped to see that you're able to keep reinventing the channel and offering new and varied content ! This sure was a blast to watch, and hope to see the story continue !
Epic! Very thematic, and what a great conclusion! Excellent narration, great players. 40k at it’s finest!
I'd never seen or even heard of Ork Wartrakks before. Such a cool looking unit!
Previous smaller version of Ork vehicles before the 4 larger buggies came out I have several :) there is also a buggy version. They legends rules.
@@lordfateweaver1851 Neat! I looked up pictures of them but I didn't see any with the the big ol' missile on the back of it. Was wondering if they came with the kit or if they were converted or something. Anyway, thanks for your input my dude!
Missile rack was an older extra part, came in metal.
Absolutely loved this. It's amazing that you guys are really differentiating yourselves from other channels and leveraging the talents of your team!
That last turn was INSANE. This may have toped when Nick killed that greater deamon and successfully teliported out in the pacific grimdark you guys did.
When was that?
Loved this so much! The big battles with a story are what I live for in 40k
That was an awesome game. I can't believe Jerry went down and Yarrick killed Ghazghull again! Keep it up.
'I have heard many souls speak my name in whispers since I came to Helsreach. I ask you now: Do you know me?'
'Yes' several voices replied, several among the hundreds.
'Do you know me?' he bellowed at them over the firing of the wall guns.
'Yes!' a chorus answered now.
'I am Grimaldus of the Black Templars! A brother to the Steel Legions of this defiant world!'
Wow, that was amazing! Such a good narrative! And it had great epic moments! Massive Stompa, the huge Warlord Titan entering the fray, and yet, great job making it all about the characters in the end.
Love seeing such a large scale battle. It must have taken a long time to do but it was amazing.
Tycho is a great narrator! This is the coolest video you guys have done in awhile, keep up the great work!
I've been waiting from something like this. Please do more. This was great to watch.
I really appreciate this channel! And I loved this Feature-style video. Hope we get more of these in the future.
This looked like such a blast to put together and play
Love narrative missions! I also love how completely over the top bombastic you get for a game. It's hilarious. Well done!
This was one of the most fun battle reports you guys have ever done! Killer job!
Tycho really needs to look into hiring himself out as a voice over artist because his narrative work is amazing! also loved the narrative aspect of this series but i kinda still like the other way you showcase games here. Id also love to see this ork army vs necrons or even the guardsman army vs necrons, all that tank fire and then the necron soldiers just stand back up would be so great to see lol. Love the channel guys keep up the good work
Yeah he didn’t sound too pretentious either. Just the right amount of hype in his tone
Kinda wish you would have had Finlay Craig play his own army here, with maybe Nick controlling the Black Templars and the Titan. A great battle report nonetheless, with fantastic production quality as always.
This is why I love the imperial guard many many guns and constant shelling
that was awesome , very dynamic , pleasant to watch and the staging is perfect , big thank you keep going this way !
Would love to see something like this with Nids and Aeldari Craftworlds - the Defense of Iyaden. They both got new Codex books so it would be epic as well!
Iyandin fanboy here, this would be epic as heck
This honestly is what I would expect from a 40k tabletop like many I can't watch reports without passing out or losing interest. This reignited my passion for this hobby
For sure one of the most fun videos, which says a lot seeing the quality of your videos is always top notch.
wow, amazing choice to use VFX to quickly show whats shooting what! I'm awful with names in general so to be able to 'see' whats going on made this really fun to watch and follow!
Not the best showing for the Templars, but what a spectacle!
Please please please do these fun styles of native games for skirmish games like necromunda please
That was amazing - love how well it was all done; Keep it up!
Incredible narrative concept, thanks and please do more of them ! :)
Is that a warlord i see
It is
Just a heads up, they're called the 'Black Templars', as in plural. It even says it on the cover of their codex. Love your stuff, PlayOn.
Fixed it in the video title. Thank you.
First video I was ever recommended for your channel and I couldn’t look away. Instantly subscribed
This has been amazing! The story, the editing, the gameplay. You guys just keep on rising the bar. Excellent work
It's battles like this that prove how ridiculous 28mm scale is when it comes to EPIC massive battles. This devolved into who had the best lucky rolls. There was no strategy when it came to maneuvering, flanking etc. Look at how those tanks were clumped and how stupid the board looked.
GW even gave Titans which are REAPER sized monstrosities from mass effect and gave them the Tyrion Lannister treatment so they could fit into a 28mm Tabletop which they have no business being in. If Titans were true scaled to their original lore, only a big giant Warlord FOOT would cover that damn board.
EPIC 40K was the VERY BEST game Games Workshop ever made. 28mm scale is good for small skirmishes and that's it. The most massive battles with the biggest, baddest, most destructive units and weapons in the 40k universe belong to EPIC 40K. GW BRING BACK A NEW EPIC40K OFFICIALLY and anchor it at 3mm scale which would perfectly fit the scale of the Adeptus Titanicus models that are out now and put an end to the madness that just transpired in this vid.
We get it, you want to be special.
Your productions are always on such a high level. Just amazing.
Incredible narrative feature! This is the very best 40k offers - fantastic armies on an amazing battlefield playing out an amazing emerging story!
Awesomely epic content. I love the fire effects and shot effects added in.
This was truly epic. An amazing battle. Thanks for sharing!
Freakin loved it, thanks so much guys! I look forward to these episodes
That was wonderful! I loved watching the huge models come on the board as reinforcements. Very cinematic.
Some of the best stuff out there. Wow! Absolutely beautiful preformed
Really loving the improvements to the overall quality, which was already amazing. The battle loses showing per turn is a great addition as well. It helps paint a much clearer picture of the battle. Would love to see that used going forwards.
Been watching since 40k in 30 mins and so damn proud to see how your quality improves, procs to you all!
Bravo! Quite enjoyed this. Look forward to seeing more!
This was absolutely incredible! Love these narrative-esque battles! Such a great choice as well!
Not just an epic battle, but so well edited, and loved the narration too!
Absolutely wonderful! These videos are awesome!!! Please make more!
This was so beautifully done and so fun. Love your content!
This was utterly incredible. Thank you for the phenomenal 40K content!
never seen your videos or the tabletop of 40k, but it’s honestly awesome seeing you get excited about it and love talking about the game and making videos on it. thanks, and cheers
just imagining the drop site massacre in this style, pure bloodbath
This deserves more likes. Thanks for the great edit!
This was fun to watch!!! Make more!! The Narrative makes me motivated to keep painting and building my army.
I stumbled on this video in my recommendations even though I've never watched any 40k content. Outstanding video, you guys can be proud of this series!
I enjoy your matches trimmed to 40min. This video was fun- So much work into production! Good stuff gang.
This was pure legendary stuff! Please do more of these!
That was fun to watch, hope you do more.
Tycho's narration is amazing!
By far the best vid you guys have ever done, been a fan for a long time but this is just a whole other level of awesome. Keep it up!
Excellent! yes, more please!! Great story telling, cool battle effects, and a great pair of hosts for the game. Game On!!!
That game was absolutely fabulous! Please, please, PLEASE make more of them!
Wow the production value and the narration is AMAZING! To echo everyone else yes I like how y'all edit out the down time.
This was so incredibly well done. Bravo!
Liked and subscribed. Narration and editing is on point
Amazing energy and presentation folks!
This was fantastic. I really wish there was more content like this around!
The editing, the music, the atmosphere and these guys, i love em all❤
Very well done Lads! Lots of Fun! Definitely hoping for more stories from the lore!
Truly amazing! Loved the whole thing, start to finish. The ending is especially on brand for 40k! The fighting may be done for the day, but in the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war!
This was great, thank you!
magnificent voice over and editing, truly fun to watch! I own both those armies at some point and it was fun to see them destroying each other!
Awesome battle report, perfect narration, great players. Alot of fun to watch, please make more features!
Please make more of these features. This was so enjoyable to watch.
