- Apocalypse is back on Play On Tabletop and this time it is T'au Nick and the almost entirety of his T'au Collection alongside new convert Tycho taking on the Treadheads Jeremy and Findlay and their sea of tanks. The Astra Militarum have turned all their turrets towards the Xenos threat and this is an epic battle of massive proportions.

Imagine, with shells exploding all around them, the Fireblade gives the order, and the Fire Warriors charge; ducking, stumbling as they run towards the bunker, throwing an explosive charge onto the enemy objective, braving the hellfire of Leman Russ's, Wyverns, and even the focus of a Titan! The Fireblade falls, but they make it into the bunker, knowing that they may not survive, but they have an objective. The surviving Shas'ui gives the order, and the demo expert throws a satchel of explosives onto the objective. The Fire Warriors, barely surviving the harrowing firepower, look to the Shas'ui, and he gives a nod to the demo expert. The Fire Warrior nods back, arms the explosive, and triggers it. Triumphantly they gaze upon the exploding enemy emplacement, knowing that if they die, it was for the Greater Good.

I was at a small local Kill Team tournament pre pandemic and at the end someone knocked a beautiful building off the table while putting on their jacket. It exploded into pieces and the whole room of players gasped. Just seeing it happen was horrible can't imagine being responsible for it.
Oh man he knocked over the giant mech in the first game it was ever played after all the work to get it camera ready............ My soul :(
Good thing it was mostly magnetized so the damage was not severe

That image. One guardsman, knowing they're loosing the battle, under fire from a massive Tau mech, surrounded by dead and dieing companions, slowly taking aim with his rifle and nailing the pilot of the Orca. Thus causing the pilot to charge the doomed vessel into the ruins in a final apocalyptic charge. Just the coolest shit ever, what a game.
Love to see the fun both sides are having. Too many "friendly" battle reports go angry and sullen when one side pulls ahead. Great to watch, please do more apocalypse games.
I could see a slight bit of salt from one of the teams =). But overall, them having so much fun far out-shined anything bad. Which is what i like to see as well.

I love that too, only played in apocalypse twice (a ton of players at once in odd alliances on table) but it sucks if you get wiped off before you can do anything.

@@Ajehy Can't remember exactly where but it's "relatively" recent as it happened when the primaris and their repulsors were just rolling out. An Iron warrior got the bright idea of outflanking the tank and slapping a Melta underneath it since he saw how much of a gap there was between the tank and the ground.
Instant flattened Iron warrior the moment he was under the grav field of the tank.

I absolutely love your videos. I've been trying to learn how to play and get into the hobby, but mostly every other video I've watched is done with people speeding through turns while holding a shaky camera in one hand and rolling dice in the other.
Your videos have made it much more enjoyable to learn and watch. Everything is so clear, all the different camera angles clearly showing the turns, great effects, clear communications and explanation by the players.

It must be a little annoying in the flow of the game, but when Nick takes a sentence or two to describe the stakes of the current moment, it really helps us as viewers. Great job as always. The production value and fun were off the charts. The Tredheads were highly entertaining and I'd love to see them come back! Always great to see some old school 40k guys mixing it up.

That War-Hound titan cast is the same cast Robin Williams had in his collection of 40k miniatures
Indeed. That's way back in the 90s when GW commissioned a company called Armour Cast to make their super heavy units(some would later leave to work for GW directly in an upcoming branch called Forge World), don't see too many of them anymore. Damn shame, they're a bit goofy looking but there are some I like.

The Orca crash/charge was one of the greatest things I've seen in years. Nothing encapsulates the grim horror of the future as much as the futile carnage of this one corner of this barely consequential corner of the battlefield. Not just a great little bit of spiteful gameplay, but a wonderful narrative moment.
can i just say how much i love these videos? Especially the commentator explaining me why and what's going since i don't play the game, i'm more of a lore guy.
I mean I used to play and am getting back in so I apreciate it too, I also really love the little "shooting animation" clarifications where you see what unit shot what.
How is every episode my new favourite episode. Absolutley loved the back and forth banter throughout the game. Get em' next time guard!

Saddened by the lack of infantry in the Guard army, I was looking forward to a good old fashioned bayonet charge, but I guess the rumbling of treads and grinding of steel is epic too!
