Respect to the reporter who stood up for his colleague. He probably spoke so quickly because he knew there'd be a backlash, but he did it anyway.
He stood up for what is right even though he knew he was gonna get insulted.

I wouldn't call America's political system a circus (Just as I wouldn't call a circus a nightmare), because nothing about what Trump is doing to us and this country is entertaining. What I like about these comedy shows is that they pull in a lot of young people, or people who wouldn't or couldn't otherwise keep up with the news and let them know what's going on. I do find Trevor's satirical way of presenting what's going on entertaining, though, because he's essentially mocking Trump and his administration. I call it comic relief and a lot of us need it right now. Just my thoughts.

State media would be there. Asking polite questions. Meaningless, but polite.
Half-way good idea in theory, but here's the thing... these reporters are covering the White House and the President. Try and detach those things as jobs from the current west wing occupants and realize that the idea of the news media choosing to ignore (as in not showing up or reporting on) the head of the government and the executive branch is NOT good for keeping the world informed as to what they are doing. The reporters NEED to be there and need to keep asking questions and demanding real answers from these people. That's the importance of the free press right now doing it's job. Ignoring them would not only be antithetical to their jobs, but incredibly harming for society as a whole.
See, not such a good idea to ignore the people in charge, regardless of how rude, obstinate, and corrupt they are.
