Not a super strong tech job market in HW, figured you're referring to tech based on previous. comments on my other videos. All of my clients who live there work remote for bigger companies not stationed in Orlando, and funny enough all work in tech haha; much more of a suburb than it is a urban work live play area.

What absolutely awful about HW for us was there are no parks for the kids. There’s nothing for them to do a cheap apartment playground is not a park. That is why we left LN and ended up in HC. Our realtor and friends all said go to HW but other than the homes there being new there’s really nothing unique that you can’t find in another community. We wanted parks for the kids to ride bikes to. HC has 7 btw. HC has the shingle creek trail head a beautiful trail with shade! The HW regional park is sad just open grass field. And the over crowded schools terrible there is not enough desk for the kids in HW. HC has all A schools, maybe Hw will turn out great in the future but as a family with young kids we couldn’t wait and see we needed everything now. My wife loves The Loop at Hunter Creek for all her shopping lol it’s similar to WG village but it’s a 2 minute drive from our home in Lake Calabay. Osprey park is a real park and HC is on Disney door step. Best of all bigger drive way and no cars on the street. I couldn’t stand that in LN and HW has the same issues small streets and two car driveways wish the builders would build 80 foot lots lol.

No parks in HW? After looking at several different areas in Orlando, clients of mine (family w/ young kids) recently chose HW for the reasons you described going to HC. Parks and Schools in the neighborhood their kids could bike to etc.
HW Regional Park is currently just a trail yes, it’s also (finally) about to close to undergo its transformation which at completion has too many amenities to list but think of Osprey Park but times 2.
Seems like you a had a bad experience based on unmet personal expectations but I’m glad you ended up finding somewhere you love! Like you said at the end there, can’t judge the areas the same, ones been around way longer.
I know some schools had issues with crowding, but now with the addition of more schools built and still more to come, looking at FDOE they seem to have decent ratios.
Haha a lot of folks don’t like the smaller lot sizes for sure, which is a nod to homes being newer, although homes with bigger lots are available, just more expensive. HC would on average definitely give someone a larger lot for similar price due to the homes being much older.
All areas have their pros and cons, glad you highlighted some of your cons to HW, adds balance. Anything you don’t like about HC?

@@OrlandowithMario HC check all the 📦s. There’s everything here. My kids are apart the sports programs here in HC soccer travel and baseball. No community in HW offers that for kids Example Latham park neighborhood doesn’t have a park yes you have a pool with a cheap playground no shade. Osprey park and Eagle park have rec centers dog parks soccer, basketball ,pickle ball and walking trails. And then shingle creek you can kayak and canoe where can you do that in HW? we have gas stations lol and shopping and restaurants that are mom and pop Frutta bowl mares the vintage speak easy tavern at the creek and much more Suki Hanna all you can eat sushi. We have The Loop shopping. HC is even just as close to Disney. Think Lake Mary feeling 20-30 years old home with an 80 foot lot and pool with backyard. The builders of today squeeze everyone tight and as consumers everyone seems to be ok with it extremely strange to me . There installing a bike trail on John young so I would say the traffic is a con in HC but nothing compares to LN Narcoossee or even the turnpike/50/429 area that’s something scary. Let’s see how HW holds up check out HC you don’t seem familiar with the area I could show you everything think about a young family that wants a great area or even a professional there both ends of the spectrum here in HC.

@@OrlandowithMario I left Hunter Creek a few years ago and downsized a moved to winter garden. Raised my family in the community of Braddock oaks. Hunter Creek definitely has more of a community feeling active hoa events every month. Down town Winter garden is great but where I live summer lake I can see it’s just another neighborhood nothing special no kids are ever at the park no restrooms shade or water fountain it’s a sad use of space but I’m old retire I just need a place to sleep.

@@JjHernandez-dc6ul I’ve never seen someone so passionate about an area lol, that’s awesome. I’d challenge you to acknowledge that some people feel the same way about HW.
For example; Got a podcast with someone who recently moved to Horizon West coming up that shares the same enthusiasm as you do for HC.
Maybe I need to have you on the podcast for the Hunter’s Creek episode lol
