Guys I’m so impressed with what you’ve got coming together for the VR6 RS3, this project has totally changed the way that people will be looking at these types of cars and motors and nobody can fault you for persevering and getting it together. I loved the VR6 swapped A4 but this is just mind blowing 🤯
This was one of my favorite updates so far. Thanks for sharing the information on the head studs, the clutch and transmission. I’ll be reaching out to Dima for an HD1400 clutch for my MK1 VW R32. Also I’m sure Ed is going to do an awesome job on the engineering side!
Amazing guys, those studs are some big boyz amazing stuff guys, screw the haters who told you this wouldn't work, well guess what it's working and it's just the beginnings.1000+ on the way.👍✌️👉
VR6 is getting more popular! keep building them! I just built a 11.5:1 .5mm overbore, balanced crank 3.2 24v (NA) so cool to see people engineering parts for these things!
I need an LOL MQB plate, haha. Great video guys! Edit: It seems even the gen 3 TSI engines have a 10 bolt flywheel, I wonder if this could be used for that as well, not that we may need it.
You sure they have a 10 bolt flywheel? When I was checking for a replacement flywheel on my vr6, all I found in the forums was that the 2.0t gen3 ones didn’t fit cause they don’t have the same bolt pattern for the DMF
Not sure if you haven’t kept up to date with our content, but the VR6 RS3 is running and driving and making some boost, now that we have accomplished getting it going we’re now turning our attention to the built motor setup and to make some real power 💪💪
I may end up using your guy! I'm in PA and have a couple engines (1.8T and a 2.8 VR6) that may end up getting some work done! I can't wait to see the RS3 rip!
Double O-ring with piano wire on one side. What are you running for sleeves? Veicomer can port the 4v heads to run 450hp NA. NA power is the key to boosted power. It's so ridiculous that they allow idiots to post you don't need cams or porting when you are running a turbo. A untouched motor putting out 275hp na will need 45lbs to make 800hp. The built, awesome ported, big flow intake and header making 450hp will make 900hp at 15-17lbs boost. A VR32 should be able to make 1500hp done right. To do it without improving flow you would need 90-100lbs of boost with billet block and BME aluminum rods to hold the pressure. Modded 450hp motor is gonna do it around 55lbs because it's not resisting the air. Definitely need 450hp pre boost. 15-18lbs will double it to 900hp. 275 with 15-18lbs is 550. That's a 350hp difference with the same boost. Hair dryers are just doublers. Will never make more than bragging power to your bros without MAXING NA power. Every car you see winning drag classes is ported, cammed, sheet metal intake, high flow turbo headers, and then boosted.
George, Stav, do you guys know the distance from the DCT axle centerline to the front of the R32 off the top of your head? Why isn't anyone using the 07-09 R36 Phaeton, Touareg, Q7, Cayenne vr3.6 or the 10 Q7 and 10-17 VR6 3.6 Touareg? I must have seen 10 videos talking about a Passat unicorn 3.6 when it's been the only VR in production all the way to 2017. Parts availability are going to be way better for something 4 years old compared to 15 years old for the last R32 I think? 2010 and up are 305hp NA stock.

@@sleepy.a3195 well I should clarify mine does from the photo I took with the transmission off.
Took a look through my photos again, mine is an 8 bolt, I had a photo of a 10 bolt flywheel in the middle of my build pictures.

Absolutely FFE racing does all the quality work and your lucky your in the east coast.
Have you thought about hood vents above the turbo to let some of that heat have a quick exit?
That's a low pressure area. The heat won't escape there when moving.
@@billasohyeah low-pressure above the hood?, wouldn't that help extract heat?
You guys are hilarious
Thank you 🙏
