Hey Malaka team, progression means learning, and learning means failure(lessons). So don’t be discouraged!!! When you are trying to be the first or the best at something, you will run into issues!!! I know you guys will figure out all the “kinks” and keep on keep’n on! Best of luck, keep us updated! 🤘🏻
I love the car, I understand You've got to do things right. That's something My Dad taught Me, even if it means You've got to take apart again. It must be done right.✌️
Ive done a dsg gearbox that wouldn't set the kiss point adaption. The o ring on the input shaft on the clutch basket was pinched. It wouldn't build the pressures it was wanting to see in VCDS and would just say failed for safety reasons. Trickyyyy.
Great update George, I've had to do DSG clutches twice in the last month or so, it's always nerve-racking when you put it all back together and think have I done the shimming properly. Good Luck and I look forward to the other episodes.
You guys have me seriously considering a gen II Audi TT with the factory 3.2 v6. Have the V6 built, use RS3/TTRS Trans, upgraded drive shafts, axles ect.... big turbo or twin hybrid turbos. Think it would be fun to build and end up being a street/drag strip beast.
Man the noises audi pipes into the new ETron is awesome sounds like a big turbo VR6 with a flowmaster muffler.....sorry had to start the sh it talking. Glad your driving it. Makes me wanna do a dq500 in my car. My old ass left leg isn't keen on clutching these days.
I have this gearbox in my transporter. Every thing is loose that i can see but i just cannot get it to split the cover. The diff side is opened good but the Tronik side feels like something is in the way when i try to pull it. It barely opens. Is there something else like the selectors in the way or something.
I'm making 1328awhp the rs3 2.5l 5 cylinder I also think the 5-cylinder sounds a lot meaner than your VR6. But I also have a 200 shot of nitrous on top of the 1328awhp so around 1528awhp start having DQ500 gear problems need billet gears lol. Anyways I just sent my gears off to be frozen/harden to see if that will help. Getting Ready for Tx2k 2024. Built everything myself in my garage had some help with tuning. Going to switch fuel run VP import 120 next or other oxygenated fuel.
Funny enough when doing a vw t4 aircooled engine swap to a vw bug t1 gearbox you should press a t1 bearing from the t1 flywheel into the flywheel to support the input shaft. Just strange how things with vw hasnt changed.
Would you recommend me take a chance and start working on my b8.5 by myself(no mechanic knowledge) or keep taking it to my tuner 034 to keep working on it.
@@LOUCABRASI Manual Gearbox has no dependencies with transmission ECU tunning, its more reliable, and easier to maintain... Also regarding speed; with the right gear and final drive combinations - Longer gear sets can provide longer boost response and greater top end...
@@rmoore6471 How is it more reliable? The slave cylinder is internal, meaning the transmission will need to be dropped to get too it. In a non VW car it cost me $2800 at $160 an hour in labor cost and parts. I've also destroyed the input shaft on a Neon SRT-4. Replaced the transmission with a 2005 model (Mine was a 2003) and a Mopar Performance clutch, this was back in 2008, cost $1,500 It's all relative is my point, you start generating power you may or may not have transmission issues. Slave failure is random and if you need your car then you pay to have it repaired. DSG especially in the later cars Mk7 Golf/A series, etc 2015 and newer are more reliable than the previous generation.
@@rmoore6471 just no, the RS3 box is way stronger than any manual and it’s cheaper and faster to convert to DSG DQ500 than it is build a manual and provide it with clutch after clutch. My A3 VR6T was converted from manual to DQ500.
Fortunately I am able to vote with my fingers, out of this talk to much from guy's who admit they are not Audi specialists!!, not engineers just spare part merchant's!!

Nice to see an update. The learning process is most of the fun. It can be expensive, but what education isn't? 🏁
Very true!
Nice! It’s great that you guys are sharing the whole process, the good and the bad.
Nice to see you malakas back. God bless, keep pumping the videos lads
Not busy on youtube but thanks for answering questions on the forums . Love seeing this thing progress. 🤘🏻
Respect to you man not a lot of people would admit a mistake
Real talk 👊🏿
I’m building a VR6 beast on a budget lol 😂 so nothing to crazy 😜, all thanks to you guys 🎉🎉
Glad your back! Looking forward to upcoming videos 👍
Yawl are starving us. need more episodes. THAT VR6 sounds iconic
Wow 1200hp!! You guys are amazing
Such sweet motors.
If my C5 RS6 wasn’t such a money pit and I wasn’t so buried in it, I’d love to snatch up an RS3.
Good on you mate.
Good to see you back Wookie still sounds pissed

Finally I been stocking your channel for 3 months now
Love the tunes coming from the engine bay George 👍😁. Can't wait to finally see silver piggy tear up the track. Go malakas 😁👍👍👍

Been hanging out for more videos just love the sound of your R30!
Glad to see the Rs3 back Malaka. Long time viewer
Thank you for the support 💪
You are machines, guys !! Hope to see it on the drags strip soon🤘
Car sounds amazing cruising around
George you are daring you are beautiful, you are greasy, you are amazing, thanks for doing the experiments you are doing and sharing it with us
Good to see you back at it.
Do you think it’d be faster if it was hibiscus? 👀
lol
Lol
🌺
I had a hibiscus b5 s4. Love that color
Really great to see some content and I appreciated the sharing. From a VR6 T owner

Best not to touch the clutch cover seal! It is very sensitive. I’ve had a lot of problems too even with bearing installed.
Also when installing make sure the seal does not contact any oil

I think the input shaft bearing will solve the transmission woes
Awesome content bro!
Can't wait for part to to drop!
When he does a pull.........and starts laughing and smiling. I do too hahahahahaha. I wish I could feel the power in the seat
Put it up on this vs that 🔥🔥
What would a build like this cost?
Yes
50 psi will beat up any engine no matter how much it’s Forged
Bah, that's not totally true.
Maybe THIS engine, but there are engines that can handle it with the right components.
Love your content. Keep it up bro 👍🍻

Wut
How the fuck are you having “gear problems”
Can always hit up sheepyrace they build Lambo and r8 dsg if u ever can't figure out ur trans issues out
Lol I wouldn’t let sheep touch anything

Yea, kicking ourselves for missing that aspect, but all considered. Small little hiccups
@@MalakaMotorSports It's good that you guys are highlighting these things. The information is golden.
Interesting they are using the ZF transmissions in the Audi RS6. They use them in the BMW G80/82 M3/M4 as well.
oof.. I'm doing a dq250 swap rn and didn't know about this bearing. Guess the trans is coming out 🥲
HP claims in the title? I’m in 👀
Where's the silver widebody?
Love so much too watch your videos gl
Wait what did you just say you sold your B5?
Bro how'd u get your vr6 to sound so beefy what cams you running?
Keen on this new phase of this project. "AdapTAtion"* not adaption
Dq 500 my clutch are burning by 800 hp😂

What happened to these guys?
10:20 please could you give me part number or something so i can also put that bearing into my car. thank you
Wait so how did you guys get the wrong transmission lol
Amazing machine ❤
I have a question to ask.. Has anyone did a 6 speed swap in an Audi RS3 using the gearbox from a MK7 Golf R??
Why? I would assume for fun, cause dsg is a lot faster

Stock Rs3 or forged emgine built B9 S4?
What is this word “stock” you speak of? Never heard of that term 👀
I made a little over 775awhp on a stock bottom end rs3 2.5l. We have came a long ways in the last year-and-a-half with these five cylinders
Home built?? Explains everything!!!!!!
Gearbox needs some olive oil.
Turbo needs some tzatziki boost.
And fuel needs some ouzo addon.
Everything will be fixed.-
100-200 times?
Wonder if its the ABS
🔥
Sound like huge surge on compressor housing!?
It’s actually the open dump of the waste gate .
OK... IS IT REALLY WORTH IT THE VR6 SWAP, CAUSE IROZ ITS ALREADY DOING 1,400+ ?
This is way cooler and waay more to talk about
That’s fast as fuck
Isn't this the same rs3 that rides on autoglory ?
Might need odis. Immo issue?
I had a dq500 swapped mk7r and the trans had the same issues until my buddy did immo adaptation.
We have odis too, sadly the adaption fails on odis due to “kiss point” which from feedback we’ve gotten is a clutch installation or fluid level issue
How you will fit the ZF8 in that B5 I do not know.
Little bit of spit and lots of olive oil.

Dude: just throw the bearing in man!
Is possible to do a similar but in a MK5 R32?
yeah but try an r30 turbo 2.8 crank it can rev higher and its stronger
Hell yeah 🎉
Not input shaft bearing malaka it's called a pilot bearing

He’s been fired due to not having enough valves in his VR6.
We have a minimum 24 valve requirement 👀
