I'm an old man. I remember Fangio, Hawthorn, and Ascari. I've been to F1 races from Brands Hatch to Delhi. Sir Lewis is without equal. A sportsman, who would never push anyone off the circuit to secure a championship, nor punch another driver in the face. The best I have ever seen, and a seriously nice guy.

ive always been a Hamilton fan. And has followed his career since he was a kid. Never was a question if he could grow to become one of the greats. Even the former greats like schumi saw it, their are drivers, and then their are racers. And majority of the time, the greatest of the greats are more racer than driver. Bottas is a great driver, but you see with him his shortcoming is not having that extra racers edge. Nico was the same.. but Hamilton's own drive against his old childhood friend forced Nico to his bitter edge to break past his limitations and finally in his career achieve his most desired championship in 2016. But overall this is F1. a sport where even being on a great team means nothing if all the factors dont work in your favor. Alanso, known to be a great driver, and even by all measure a great racer, but how do we dispel and disect his career when all saw him as the heir apparent to Schumi, but only to be blown away by a rookie brit called hamilton. same team equal cars, and so came a career of letdown. Did we get it right or did we get it hype. Its really hard to say.. yet so many had labeled him to be the best of the best all due to a few passes made against the best, schumi. I dont know. execept for the reality of him and lewis at mclaren way back then. But then again.. how about Lecler and Vettel. Clearly Vettel a 4 time world champion is the greater right? but like Alonso things just didnt work out. And their could very well be more unknown factors in their cases. things that quite possibly were well kept from the publics knowledge. Sickness, illness, addiction, pain killers, you never know. but it is common for athletes. But for as many people who have come down on Lewis, one thing is certain.. he's been himself thru it all. like it or not, he's one of the very few to achieve such a goal, such a level of success with next to nill fan fare. A couple of hot celeb romances here and their, and even then never on rockstar level, except for the little swaree with a certain bird of the Robyn sort. So all in all i celebrate the kid who became a man and has earned his status. heck the dude is an actual black knight!! People have double standards when it comes to Lewis. When Max, Sebastian or Charles win a race it’s their skills or talent but when it’s Lewis, it’s ‘only the car’! Never was and never will be. Hamilton's dominance should never be put in the same bag as Schumacher's. Schumacher only had a dominant car in 2002 and 2004. He voluntarily left Benetton (right after 2 titles with them), choosed the hard way of joining Ferrari and building the team, which took 5 years despite having contract proposal from dominant Williams or Mclaren at that time. Hamilton was just lucky and jumped to bandwagon of success and took a free ride without any extra effort done. The team was built by Brawn, Schumacher and beyond. No Wolff, no Hamilton. Lauda convinced Hamilton to trust him, knowing that 2013 would be about survival, but he knew that since 2014 they will have the title. MB had double in the standings in 2014-2016 and 2019-2020, that speaks for itself. So no bet on uncertainty and building a team like Schumi or Vettel, who signed for Ferrari. Not to mention that Ham had 20+ more races per season in Mercedes. His 7 titles have like half of the weight as Schumacher’s 7.

To be honest, this guy has seriously come a long way 🥺, his sheer determination, consistency and passion has made him so much impeccable and boy has he done so much for this sport, I will say more than enough. Most of us won't understand what pressure he has to go through everyday just because he's in a sport that is predominantly dominated by whites. He's come a long way. A living legend and a proper great.

I remember the time when each year Lewis wins the championship "7" it was too far away, how can he win next year it will be tough or who knows which team or car will be better and still he each year he won and reached that unbelievable 7 time WC. The car is amazing because it retains some grip while taking corners at 300kmph. Lewis is the goat for having the confidence in himself to take the corner at 300kmph. That kind of confidence only comes with the highest level of skill.

After Abu Dhabi, he became the undisputed goat. We all know he should’ve had 8 world titles. He will always look to prove everyone wrong, even when they change rules and set him back. Still can’t beliefs he pulled off the greatest race of all time in Brazil 2021.

Never was and never will be. Hamilton's dominance should never be put in the same bag as Schumacher's. Schumacher only had a dominant car in 2002 and 2004. He voluntarily left Benetton (right after 2 titles with them), choosed the hard way of joining Ferrari and building the team, which took 5 years despite having contract proposal from dominant Williams or Mclaren at that time. Hamilton was just lucky and jumped to bandwagon of success and took a free ride without any extra effort done. The team was built by Brawn, Schumacher and beyond. No Wolff, no Hamilton. Lauda convinced Hamilton to trust him, knowing that 2013 would be about survival, but he knew that since 2014 they will have the title. MB had double in the standings in 2014-2016 and 2019-2020, that speaks for itself. So no bet on uncertainty and building a team like Schumi or Vettel, who signed for Ferrari. Not to mention that Ham had 20+ more races per season in Mercedes. His 7 titles have like half of the weight as Schumacher’s 7.
