What a guy. Props to LH for being such a great spokesperson for motorsports. There’s no other F1 driver at this level of fame and celebrity, and he deals with it with a ton of class. Hope he gets a better shot at the title next season!

I still remember, 2012, when Lewis Hamilton had come to Mumbai, India to promote Mercedes AMG in partnership with Vodafone india, he was supposed to drive his then F1 car up and down the a particular street in BKC (Bandra Kurla Complex) and it started to rain. 15 year old me was standing in the rain just to get a glimpse of him along with many others but for some reason, exactly where I was standing, he drove past a few meters, did a donut in his car, came right in front of me and through his helmet I saw him looking at me and he gave me a thumbs up. Did another donut and went back towards the end of the street. That evening in the rain was totally worth get drenched for because I still remember him looking at me so clearly that it not only made my day, it made my life.

I mean obviously he has been complaining many times on the track but at the end it was to get the best out of it. And verstappen does it as well. But the difference is that even when they screw Hamilton over (for example when bono wasn’t sure whether he should pit or not, Lewis stayed calm), he stays calm but verstappen screams and insults the team (remember Spain this year when his DRS didn’t work, simply because he was spamming it and his engineer told him to stop that but he decided to insult them be scream at the team)
Really what Lewis does on an off the track is great, he is humble, he is nice. But people make things up to make him look bad, simply because he is statistically the best driver ever

I have watched Lewis since his rookie season in 2007 and what a class act not only as a F1 driver but as a human being. I'm so happy for him and wish him many more years of sucess.
King Charles visited Ireland a few years back and a lady who worked for his Great-Uncle shook his hand without being introduced and he replied “nice to see you again” remembering her from over 30 years ago….so he definitely remembered Lewis and wasn’t just being polite

Lewis is such a class act. He comes across as soft spoken but he's really a fierce and fair competitor, a great leader, a great team member, super smart, super amazingly athletic, an insanely hard worker, and humble. He's just awesome to me. I used to think that Schumacher was the greatest F1 driver of all time but I think Lewis is even more accomplished and even doing more for the sport now. Keep fighting Michael.

His dad, Anthony, worked multiple jobs to support his early go-karting career, including ferrying him around from course to course. I think it's because he seems not genuine. He grew up in a normal family and spoke with a working class accent. After he made it, he started acting like a big shot celebrity and speaks more like an American. He's also not funny, which is the quality that British people most recognise in each other, imo. He is one of those people that is a light in this world. Watch a few interviews of his, look at his demeanor, his eyes, his energy. You will see what I mean.
I LOVE this guy. Hamilton is the reason I got into F1 after watching a documentary on him. Never watched racing before of any kind, but his story is inspirational. His father is working 3 jobs to keep his (initially) GoKart racing "car" running. All the other kids have wealthy parents, and he and his father are the only Black people racing, thus boatloads of racism. But with his father's help, he persevered despite the hardships. He's at least one of the GOATs, if not THE GOAT. I watched this guy win a race on 3 tires ! Amazing. 🙂

They aren't knocking on anything. Russell took Sainz out, Leclerc and Perez had penalties, and if Red Bull didn't mess up the pit stop, Max would've been 30 seconds ahead.
