Can you test one PS5 game e.g. Fallout 76 loading times on all SSD? Make a rev2. 🙂
My choice boils down to build quality and how hot they run prolly gonna go with wd
Got the Official Playstation Western Digital Black SN80P 4TB on black friday at Best Buy for $299.
If I change out my SSD, do I have to transfer any saved data on it to the new SSD?
Does Rougeware NX200M M.2 GEN3 work??
The Gammix S70 Blade FTW!!!!
Adata on sale prime today 2TB for $89 limited stock
I got the Nextorage G Series 2Tb and comparing it to the majority of SSD's, it is still almost untouched by anything other than Gen. 5 SSD's
Amazon Prime Day deal has Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB for $99
you read my mind Was thinking which one to get for prime day.
wonder if there's much difference in the video they recommend 990 pro. Amazon has the 980 pro on sale today for prime day.
just saw the difference. the 980 comes with a heatsink. 990 doesn't.
Just bought it
Just bought mine at Best Buy, they had the same price as Amazon!
I got the Samsung 990 and so far, it's great!
Did you need that heatsink?
@@juansantacruz2882 I just installed it as it came out of the package. There wasn't any removable heat sink with it.
Should i buy samsung 980 pro or kingston fury renegade?
Samsung 980 pro at best buy it does
amazing best 5 ssd
Does it replace the storage you already had stock, or does it add on to it ?
Adds to it my boy
@@_Don_P ay good looking bro bro
Will the xpg overheat with the low profile heat sink?
Isn't the low profile preferable because it helps air flow? As the 5th one mentioned it needed the ps5 supported recommended heat sink which I'm positive would likely be low profile (as definitely a significantly large one would not fit).
Kingston kc3000 2TB 100$ and 10$ bequiet mc1 radiator. 6500MB/s on ps5 test. Same as all best sssd
Yo can someone help me out I have the ragnarok bundle what ssd can I use bc I got the Seagate M.2 1tb and it didn’t work 😅
Buy gen 4 ssds with anything above speeds of 5,500mbps. I'm currently using the 500gb WD black sn850 because it was the only good option under $150 at the time. Nowadays you can find the 1TB sn850 for like $95 Canadian
I have the 2tb 990 pro and it’s taking an hour to download Spider-Man 2 on ps5.
My Samsung 2tb with heatsink and it was $149
139 with heatsink on Newegg
You missed corsair mp600 pro lpx
My 2TB WD_black burned out in less than a year of usage on my ps5.
Amazon prime day: firecuda 530 with heatsink 1tb only 99.99 and 2tb 164.99
2TB 980 Pro a/ heatsink for $99.99
Can’t beat that
I only like officially approved products...🤘🏼💯✔️
My firecuda 530 2 tb died. But it was prolly a bad drive. Have warranty and can choose data recovery for free till 2027
Bought the 1tb wd black at best buy on sale for $119 but I feel i got screwed and could've chose a better ssd it's just im a new PS5 user and i need to get familiar with the systems compatibility I'm considering on selling or returning my WD black should I buy the fury? Anybody on here have it and how is it performance and price range?
dont bother, i believe the ps5 read write speeds are capped at 6500..the tests he did are on PC. your wd black is good enough
Return it and get the 2 tb. Just got a 2tb wd at walmart for 179
Just got mine for $140 2tb Samsung on amazon
Getting the xpg for my ps5 this year. 😂
The 4tb is currently 199. Just buy a better heatsink.
Does the 990 pro surpass that 6500mb speed on the ps5? Or is the 6500mb the fastest the PS5 can go?
you wont notice a difference at all. digital foundry did tests for all these ssds. youre getting milliseconds of performance different if at all with the all the different choices
@tiedye1631 are you saying any of the above mentioned SSDs are fine ?
@@khutazzoron4563 yes any of them are fine. They even test ssd's that dont meet the speed requirements set by Sony and they still worked just fine
I recently upgraded my system with the Samsung 980 PRO SSD 2TB, and I am absolutely blown away by its performance and reliability.
@tonyrs6320 I bought the exact same, and it's brilliant.
Just bought Samsung 990 pro 2tb for PS5 and read speed is only 6560 mb/s !! Can this be fixed ? Speed isn't as advertised
Format it. And then try again.
i believe its capped by the ps5 system. on your pc you will reach higher speeds closer to what the ssd advertised
Bro, in PS5, 6000MB is good enough. You shouldn't have brought the 990 pro, because you will not get the full speed anyway. You should have bought a 980 or 980 pro.
I use a 990 pro on my PC, it gives me around 7000+ MBPS which is enough for me.
I don't think you will find a problem with your PS5 anyway. 6000 MBPS is super fast
i have had my ps5 since launch and haven't had any issues. is it worth getting type of insurance to cover my console?
How often do you clean the fan or do you?
@@GhostTacos1975 every month
@@SGames_1 Thanks got my PS5 couple months ago and cleaned it a few weeks ago
So which one should i buy? I am even more confused rhan i was before i watched the video.
It depends on your budget. If you're looking for gaming, go for WD SN850X
If your in a tight budget, go for XPG S70 blade.
What ssd should I buy 990 pro or sn850x I was thinking buying Samsung 990 pro because is faster
Neither, just get an 980 pro since you'll not be able to tell the difference in speed, most games won't load even a second faster if you get an 990 or an 850, it's just a waste of money since the 980 is pretty close in reading speed to the 990 and 850 while being significantly cheaper and it meets the requirement of having a reading speed higher than 5500 MB/s so you won't suffer stutter in any new PS5 game
I recently upgraded my system with the Samsung 980 PRO SSD 2TB, and I am absolutely blown away by its performance and reliability.
The 990 pro is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Got it on Amazon prime day!
with or without the heatsink? 980 comes with a heatsink.
@@knightrcer both
I just missed the sale 😔
@@SlikkSammy just checked the price to see of it stayed same price. It's about a $30 difference.
Just bought the 980 pro at Best Buy, had the same price as Amazon on there sell price!! Bought a couple of days before the sale ended!! Got the heatsink 2tb, for $107 with tax!!
Fanxiang SSDs rock.
This video is like an exact copy of another one 😂😂
can anyone tell me if the linkmore nvme xe200 is good to install on my ps5 as i have already purchased it
The Linkmore does not even meet the PlayStation 5 minimum requirements
The gen 2 has a read speed of only 4,560 megabits per second PlayStation 5 requires 5,500 or above not to mention the max capacity is only 2 terabytes
The gen 3 only has a read speed of 2,500 megabits per second which is not even half of what PlayStation 5 requires
You went with a terrible choice choosing that one mate suggest you get your money back then buy an ssd that meets the requirements
@@bamban_garcia5562 I went with fanxaing s880
@@spicymaddness7243
You get what you pay for... A mid-tier SSD drive that's only 1TB is usually around $100 and a really solid 1TB drive is around $140.... So if a 2TB drive is LESS than a mid-tier 1TB drive; then there's something that is NOT adding up...
That brand has been caught lying about its read and write speeds for a bunch of their products. They also use alot of fake reviews and try to bury the real reviews by upvoting the fake ones on whatever platform they are pushing it out on...
Multiple people have made videos/reviews on the read speed being 3,300 and the write speed being 3,200; its the exact same drive that you bought.. The company stated that it's a 7,300 read and 6,800 write speed and in reality its HALF that speed...
If you have a computer; plug it in and test it; I'm sure it won't be anywhere near their advertised speeds.
It also doesn't help that a good portion of buyers have had alot of problems with the drives themselves.
If you read the REAL reviews; you would see that alot of people had problems with their PS5/PC randomly shutting off AND their save files getting corrupted for multiple games...
So unfortunately you made a bad decision on your SSD purchase. Plus, $92 (at regular price) for a 2TB SSD should have been enough of a warning for you to NOT buy it...
So good luck!!! Hopefully that $100 savings was worth the inevitable corrupted save files, poor read/write speeds, and your PS5 shutting off mid-game!!
P.S.
Just cough up a couple extra bucks and get something that is transparent about what you are actually buying....
There is at least a dozen options in the $120 to $140 range for 1TB SSD's that are some of the best on the market AND they have heatsink options for around $10 more...
If you can't spend $200+ on a 2TB drive; then you probably shouldn't be looking for a 2TB drive... A 1TB drive that actually works is always better than a 2TB drive that corrupts your data and has HALF the read/write speed that the PS5 needs to play any modern games.🤦♀️🙃
Just use what you have bruh too many dorks in the comments thinking you need high end shit lol. You’ll be good bro. There’s some sad folks in here 😂
A few days ago, bought a Lexar NM790 4Tb for a 200€. Not realy a first option becouse of story about nand production and some neverheard controlor. But most if not all, reviews are positive. After formating by PS5, got a message about..."If is a ssd glitching" remove ssd and a notice about speed: 6100. Copying a game(190Gb) from PS5ssd to Lexar took about 75 seconds. For me as a old fashion sata user, this was chilling. For a test or better said: """"to a lazy dick even fat/grease hair is annoying"""of possible glitching, there is "so far so good" !!! Only needed to buy an a chiller 4 a ssd as a extra cost.
Got WD Black 1TB for $80 in Amazon

I got My ADATA for 65$
I just listened to another AI sounding channel with a different voice and it appears to be exactly the same dialogue at least for the s70 blade. These reviews are basically spec highlights and not legit review comparisons.
A-DATA... NO i had a bad first time experience with those that i won't even consider them... ESPECIALLY that high on this list... sorry sir, you lost my respect.
Also to note, this is NOT an attack on the creator, its mostly aimed at the brand who once failed me so hard that i can't recover, even from any PR they will do, the rest of the roster seems fairly compared, but its all subjective.
PC wins, because masterrace :)
I got 6575 mb from my 990 pro with heatsink built in
So this video is blatantly lying to you all
The 990 pro is the best overall
Non of these Best SSD for PS5 with Best stock cooling is Corsair MP600 Pro XT NOT LPX same ssd but smaller heatsink to fit stupid standard set by Sony cause they have to by LAW but their recommendations only make your ssd run hot many ppl burned their ssds and even many PS5 consoles were broken cause of SSD overhead so what you want to an SSD with Bigger heatsink that sticks out of the ssd bay slot for better cooling the ssd bay is completely cut off from the system without any airflow NEVER use the ssd bay cover or you can get a heatsink that replaces the ssd bay cover like the one from ElecGear but even this huge heatsink has worse performance then the stock heatsink on Corsair MP600 Pro XT plus that drive is the Best in terms of speed to almost all drives only 990 Pro beats it and it's durability is much higher then most other drives on the market
So is the 990 the absolute best with the Corsair best bang for your buck ???
