Thanks for having me on, we had a nice talk about some of those spots. Was a fun 1
You charge a lot for your three month personal masterclass. Somehow I feel like DN will more than get value out of his investment. Nice to see you back at it even if it might be the last time
I think Doug attended more podcasts than hands played in the challenge
was great to see doug win. dan is just a knob
Hey have you been better than JungleMan? in HU? I think in some video you said that you lost to him a lot.
Woo go Doug!
Great content! My two favorite poker players. Started learning with Upswing and now learning from RYE TMC. Thanks Ben for everything you do for the poker community!
Great to hear!
same ! brilliant podcast , both 2 great guys in general and for the game
I think this is the best interview Doug has done on the challenge
Best interview with Doug by far. Ben, I think you need to be interviewing all the top people in poker. You know all the right questions to ask as a grinder yourself! Love the content man. Keep grinding!
Very interesting content, Ben. I was glued to the screen the whole time. Also, I like how respectful you are to your guests. Wish you success and endless motivation to create more content for us.
Thanks! Really enjoy your podcasts Ben, you always manage to make them all interesting!!
Thanks Bitom! See you in Discord ;)
TWO GOATs getting together!!! great podcast :)
A lot of knowledge between these two, my favorite RYE pod so far!
Very enjoyable episode, great from both of you! Very much enjoyed the strategical talk about hands, it's clear Doug is insanely studied
Always loving these top notch contents. Thanks for your effort!
Thank you Chang
U can actually see the genuine 'love for the game' in your eyes when doing this intro.
So great to see
Nah, he's just got a weird face.
Probably the two who inspired me most in this game! Great!
Both of you are very inspiring persons! The conversation went so smooth and I really enjoyed it! Thank you and keep going!
The ultimate collaboration😍
Two of the most humble and winning players ever. Love to see you smile and share such valuable content, both Upswing and RYE are gold. Love you both.
Thank you buddy! Means a lot
As always great content with two very likeable people ;)
Thank you!
Damn this was a great one, thanks so much for the great interview Ben. lol It never ceases to amaze me how many poker players like to watch Starcraft! (myself included of course).
No Warcraft? No Grubby, bro?
Great discussion between two intelligent people who work hard improving at their craft! Thanks for sharing this!
Was waiting for this before the challenge even started 😬😬
And finally its here!
Gary Vee is just great, I remember one off his epidodes, one german asked if he should do it in german or in his bad english I realised direct it was Ben and I hope you will never be ashamed off your english its good enougt.
I wanna be friends with Doug, he seems so chill
LOVE DOUG. great interview ben
Im so greatful to finally hear two top players talk about that one drop hand where Reinkemaier folded AA because I believed thats the point that made him decide retire from poker...
Fantastic interview 🔥👍 it really is very impressive how Doug thinks about the game AND is able to do it in real time.
Probably the best podcast to date.
Why can I smash that like-button only once? Awesome content as usual!
Thanks for the support Eike!
2 of the best without a doubt.
Interesting discussions, enjoyed that.
Ben, you are literally the best poker content creator on UA-cam, hands down.
Him and Finding Equilibrium - that guy gets NOWHERE NEAR the following he should have. Its top-level analysis for free.
Congrats for the great podcast. I would like to see one with Daniel as well.
Legendary podcast!
My favourite two poker players right here. I remember when Upswing launched their Tournament Class, and there was a bit of a beef between these two guys, made me a bit sad since I've been following and been a member of both training sites. I love to see this.
did they ever how they resolved the lawsuit/beef?
Yoo bencb it looks like good movie to watch try to interview Daniel ben
Let's see what we can do!
Bencb, you are big insparation as a pokerplayer but also in fundamental questions in live although it might sound a little strange. Best Luck in future!
The two guys that taught me poker. Epic
Excellent conversation. Subbed.
Thanks! Amazing content.
Thanks for watching!
Great content as usual!
How Dog Polk is thinks is just from an insane level!!!
great point about Daniel trapping too often, Ben - Daniel was doing this from literally the first hand of live play and it worked so he continued that but never adapted to Doug's style. Doug's natural instincts are just so strong and Daniel couldn't play the same game.. thanks for the content, guys 🥃🍻 also lol @ how fast Dylan talks PLO haha fuck
Both share similarities in some ways, polk used his youtube to promo upswing and now Ben is doing the same for RYE. He would make for a great mentor
Thank you Gentlemen for this inane value ☺♥
"Welcome Doug who also had the biggest score on twitch - until today" Haha cheeky flex from our boy Ben. Great content
Not all feud end up battling a zero sum game. Its a win win for Ben & Doug here 😉
Doug never get older
Doug said playing Scott Seiver was randomly intimidating cause he would talk to you after he jammed and now I cant help but see Scott as Majin Buu 🤣🤣🤣
I'm Hanz and this is Franz and we're here to pump you up
Doug it's important to know that your one of the best poker players that choose to be known in the media.
I want to see a Doug Polk vs Charlie Carrel grudge match!
Ben ... For the uninitiated has there been tension between you and Doug? Interesitng that while you both have wildly differing persona's I find both of your content highly informative and educational ... just FWIW
I heard you talk of siding on aggressive error and then referring to Addamo as crazy.
I feel like that’s a thought worth considering much further. I’d put a few of the best in that same style and it seems very hard to beat
Simply put he’s showing up with hands that shouldn’t be in his ranges making it near impossible to “solve”
My past and present youtube poker idols
I woke up at 2 o’clock today put the fuckin work in.
Where is the GTO discussion?? :)
1:20:15 can we have a link to that hand at all? is it around?

Whats Dillan Wisemans twitch ?
Texas or Florida. Good choice Dougie ;)
You know as I've gotten older I've been having a harder and harder time disassociating myself from the cash/financial implications when I'm playing cash-games.
When I was younger, I could put my entire bankroll on the felt, lose it, and get over it in a couple hours. Now-a-days, if I lose less than 1% of my bankroll, I get angry, anxious, disappointed, etc. And, I have WAY more money NOW then I did back then.
It's just so odd.
Hence, I can no longer play cash-games, because I can't have a balanced strategy for I can no longer pull the trigger on my pure or low equity bluffing spots.
If you play cash and you have a strong strategy you can win most of your sessions, i think you have to work first at your mindset, im pretty sure that most of the players are not makeing any money just because they cannot hold themselves whrn getting beats! So of the answers are not even in poker and related to poker its strange huh?
@@tiagomota4734 I had to quit, I just couldn't stop the "Fight or Flight" response. I think my brain was telling my body, "You need to stop gambling," lol...
@@mycommentpwnz i understand and maybe thats for the best in your case....for me, once i undertood hows with variance and after my strategy actually got way better , its hard to see me tilting these days, i just do not give a fuck..
Doug: Who wants me on a Podcast?
Bencb: Me
Doug: You just have to say how great our new PLO course is, only then I come on
Bencb: I don't know the name of the coach but he has a great PLO course on Upswing
If you try to be funny, not funny.
If you are serious, pretty dumb comment.
I watched their stream, saw this dude and was impressed by his input and way of explaining. More important than recognizing his name.
Nice try troll.
Ben vs Doug plzzzz
The Supreme Leader!
Thanks for the support Stian!
News flash: You are indeed spewtastic
Was he better than Jungleman?
Wtf did not see this coming 😳 next pokerstars and gg poker share the players pool
At 37.51 how does RANDOMISE A VERY LOW NUMBER if it was at the live session they played?
There are many methods used. An old common one is to look at clock and use the second hand. Or another common one is before you play just use suits as randomized... Eg. If higher card is a diamond, randomized = 25, if both diamonds ~6%. Depending on how detail you want the estimate to be, of course the trick is to not change your mind/suits because of the run out.
They had a random number generator button on the table while playing.
@@darrengriff471 they agreed to allowed one? didn’t know that.
Dougs room background is so weird lol
I guess someone is using it to play music..

The best of the best of all poker players don't need to be known. Because there are four of them in the world that are almost impossible to be beaten.
How you gyys randomize , online with lot pf tables, and live...
I think Doug Polk love Benc's S:es.
White magic is the new poker guys, come on ;-)
think of it as *destiny*

When Ben mentions Upswing poker being a great poker school, he literally had to swallow his pride for that comment 😂
nope
Lol it wasn’t an actual call out it was cuz of the timing of the gulp he takes at that point
At 2:00 “great poker school” huge gulp found it hilarious timing 😂
@@riplzz8205 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Daniel who?
45:35 confirmation bias
DOUG POLK HUSTLED the man Daniel. With a computer programmer manipulating the deals, who can guarantee that it was an honestly run tournament. I have an idea. How about a rematch under the lights where all is available to scrutinize.
The exploiting endboss interviewing the gto endboss

That should have been the name in the title

My head is spinning. Please remind me to never pursue a career in heads up.
I don't think I enjoy the fact that now poker is about figuring out why the solver is saying things instead of figuring out why something makes sense.
With blockers and unblockers, you can justify pretty much anything. It's bad to have a 6 on AQ544 because you block 76 that purefolds, but it's good to have a 6 on AQ544 because you block 64 that traps! The offsuit hands on a rainbow board are bad to bluff because you don't have a backdoor flush draw to improve, but the offsuit hands on a rainbow board are good to bluff because you don't block your opponent calling with a backdoor flush draw and folding turn when they don't improve...
Ultimately we're all there trying to pretend we're doing some facts and logic when we're just following instructions, and since we don't always know what the instructions will be, we're ready to justify anything and everything.
I think it would be interesting to feed a fake solve for a situation to a good player and see them justify the play using "facts and logic". As long as the fake is not completely obvious, I'm pretty sure they'd run with it no problem.
Look at this sentence lol, at 1:13:45 => "If you have a hand like Q6 suited here, it's not a good call hand, because you really want me to have a 6 - although the solver ends up not jamming a six, maybe it is a good call hand, but the point remains, you really don't want to block some of these hands that could be bluffing"
Literally nothing has been said in that sentence :D
@@OsefKincaid I think he's saying that in theory q6 is not a good bluff catcher because it blocks a missed bluff straight draw. But then he says that the solver never bluffs a missed 6x straight draw on the river so then maybe q6 is a good bluff catcher
@@foraminutethere23 There is no theory. There's just what the solver says. If the solver says that Q6 is a bad bluff catcher, then it's because the 6 is bad, we want villain to have a straight draw. If the solver says that Q6 is a good bluff catcher, then it's because villain doesn't bluff with his missed straight draws, so the 6 unblocks his bluffs. We are ready to justify anything :)
@@OsefKincaid when I say theory I mean his current understanding of why the solver is doing what it's doing. You notice some trends and then the solver sometimes goes against those trends and you have to think about why. I get what you're saying too though
Ya justifying is probably the best way for it to make sense in our brain. The computer is cold hard experiments
