My take was that In-Ho was doing everything in his power to make the game entertaining for the sponsors, delay game 2 to the last second but keep Gi-Hun alive, shoot a couple guards during the uprising but eventually crush the rebellion. At any point he could’ve gunned Gi-hun down but it’s not as entertaining if he dies.
In one interview the Director said color red and blue is based on an old Korean folktale. A ghost would offer people either red or blue tissue, insinuating that the right choice would allow them to go free, In reality, the ghost would kill them no matter what. Not a reference to Matrix
Except in the show the Front-man asks Gi-Hun "Have you seen the Matrix?" and directly talks about the red and blue pills from the Matrix. Thus, Matrix reference.
@@ssenpaisakura1222 the guy is technically right because it took go hun whole years just to find the salesmen, and gi hun thinks he can kill like all of the guards and stop the games for good and there’s a lot of guards so the guy is correct
A nice detail is in mingle, when they were asked to split into groups of 4, the front man broke off to find his own group, afterwards there were 165 people, which is not divisible by 4, however instead has a remainder of one when divided by 4, this is likely because the front man likely just went into a room by himself and the pink people let him live because he's... well... the front man.
My assumption was that the Front Man was just like Gi-Hun. A good guy who was broken by the Squid Games. He tried to go back and stop it, but failed and ended up being their figure head.
My crazy thought. Gi-Hun choosing to return, is the perfect opportunity to test him to see if he has the qualities to being a Front Man. In season 1 the VIPs alluded that these games are not exclusive to South Korea. And In-Ho is just the current Front Man for the Korean games. Whoever is actually in-charge would have the perfect leverage to force Gi-Hun to be a Front Man, his daughter. Thus, confirming that the games will never die.

I immediately thought setup going back to when I thought that about the Old Man in Season 1 before they actually revealed it.
One thing I noticed is that the obvious hints of who the front man is go unnoticed by the main character in a realistic way. Even if in the previous game the 001 older man was one of the bad guys and the new one makes it really obvious this is the same case, he knows the main character is basically an air-head. Proof of this is season 1. The main character is more serious in this new season because of what he went through, but his mind and level of awareness is still the same.
thats what i thought he didnt research and dug deeper enough to at least get a general idea of who he was planning to take down. he was like taking his revenge on the staff and people operating the games and not the people who are funding and patronizing the game
gihun thinks like a kid who loses three times in a row to scissors because “come on, they played scissors last time, they surely won’t do it again!” the fact that he’s most likely being played by a frontman numbered 001 for the second time is hilarious
As soon as we met the fisherman I knew something was up. Oh Dal-Su is a very famous actor in Korea and I knew he had an important role to play rather than being a minor character in this show.
I wish they did not show the fisherman sabotaging the team. As the audience, we'd have the same information as the detective, and would have to work to find out.
the Fisherman was a gay character. Everyone was too blind to see that. They Lesbians and Trans in season 2. So the gay character is the fisherman. He combed his hair as if it was long permed and blonde, while he was checking out the butt of one of the marines. He clearly wanted to date the soon to come out, hot cop. In season 3, the cop or policeman will come out as gay. The tittle of the series will be changed to Squirt Games.
Im guessing that theres a plot twist on season 3. Gihun knew the front mans' gimmick, so as to not blow his cover too he had to sacrifice everything just to get close to the front man. We all know that Gihun knows better this time, we get this "sike, you really thought" plot twist where the MC reads the antagonist like a book. Im pretty sure Gihun had suspicions when In-ho said his name. I believe that Gihun knows better this time, he wouldnt go in the games again without a plan atleast. Well lets just wait for s3
But as plenty of people has pointed. Gihun really isn't the brightest of a person. Sure he's not a total idiot. But even from season 1 he's established as this naive, somewhat dumb man. Him not noticing any of Inho's clues feels rather matched with his personality.
@@resurgingflame I still believe most likely scenario is that Gihun is an airhead. But, there are some hints that he might be more capable than people give him credit for. Like, him being willing to sacrifice people all of a sudden came kind of out of the blue. There was no development that led to it. He also told his friend that "after seeing your friends die, you will not be the same". He also did notice when his friend was gonna say something about 001. If you go back and look, ever since his friend expressed doubts, Gihun always looked at him a bit sus. His philosophy of saving everyone seem to have changed immediately afterwards. It's like he knew he would lose if he continued to play the games while having 001 which basically plays with cheats there.
Like this is extremely far-fetched, but notice how the front man seem to have some humanity left (like saving his brother, the pregnant lady and being visibly annoyed when the guy abandoned his mother). One twist in season 3 could be that it shows that Gihun had just become extremely callous since the last game and was willing to sacrifice his friend just to find out who 001 was after starting to doubt. The change to sacrifice people came really sudden, but what if that part of Gihun was there all along? Perhaps, the most important part is if you're still human or if you lose your soul like the guests.
He would have been been arrested and jailed in real life for that because littering is EXTREMELY frowned upon in Korea much less at the historical site where he did it. There are police that patrol those places 24 hours a day.

I was appalled that he would do that to homeless people but then again should have known better now that I think about it
I loved your theories but I have to say, I don't think any of the ideas about Gong Yoo's calluses really work. I think Gong Yoo just has calluses, no relationship to the show.😂
7:55 the director actually said the color of the ddakji was not a reference to the matrix at all, saying it was actually from an east-asian urban legend called Aka Manto, with the red and blue toilet paper.
In the scene you showed with Hyun-Ju (120) explaining her motivations for staying in the games, one more interesting detail is that she had taken her jacket off and tied it around her waist. Despite admitting she is self-conscious about her chest, she is more ashamed of showing the ‘O’ badge that marks her vote for staying in the games, when she is talking to everyone who wanted to quit.
And we all thought that the main character was the old mans son. But what if he is as well and their brothers! We found out this season that the front man and his cop brother have different moms. And we all know Rich men love to spread their seed around. Elon Musk has how many kids from how many women 😂 It would not be crazy to think that they could both be the sons of the old man. And now that the front man has shared that his wife was pregnant while she was sick. I’m starting to wonder if possibly his cop brother is his son. They didn’t mention how old the cop brother was when the front man went missing, And they mentioned that he donated an organ to him (I’m sure being half brothers they would be a match, but if he was his father, he would be more likely to be a match) There is clearly a big age difference between them, and possibly if his wife died, giving birth to him he may have asked his stepmother to raise the boy because it was too hard for him with everything he had just gone through. Lol, it’s just a tinfoil hat theory. Im most likely 100% wrong, but it’s fun to guess 😊
@ I mean, yeah I don’t think he’s going to be his father but the actor who plays the front man is 21 years older than the actor who plays his brother. So he is old enough to be the cops, father. The man who plays the front man is 54 years old. Hell, the actor who plays our main character is 50 years old.
Right! I assumed this too during the mingle game. He told Gi-Hun he will manage since he knows he wont be killed. 2. He also asks Gi-hun "are you sure?" when Gi hun chooses to give him the last ammo magazine, I think this was kinda a test too which Gi Hun failed terribly! 3. He was losing their time purposedly during the spinning wheel minigame
Another really neat detail to make note of is Soldier 11’s backstory working in the theme park. They make a point of mentioning the fact that she acts very coldly, and they’re surprised she made it as long as she did with that personality. Combine this with a detail mentioned by someone else (I think it was either the Salesman or the Front Man), where he justifies being able to do the horrible things he does by hiding behind a mask and imagining everyone as garbage instead of real people. What it shows is that the theme park worker, like how she changes her personality to fit the costume at the park, also changes her personality to fit the job at the games. She’s literally masking her true identity and feelings and playing the role of a uniform, instead of a person, and it’s quite likely this is how ALL the soldiers and staff make it through this.
I don’t think the front man was losing the second game, he was just messing with Gi-Hun. That’s what he’s been doing the entire game with him. Slowly breaking him.
my initial guess was that the series would end with gihun being the new frontman, just like the ending of the horror film "the midnight meat train" with the once-frightened main character (played by bradley cooper) replacing the subway axe-murderer to feed the creatures at the end of the tracks. let's revisit in a year and see how it goes.
The milk thing, it wasnt actually what you said, instead Ol il Nam or what his name is the host from season 1 who died, had a conversation with 456 in wich 456 told him he cannot drink milk and Ol-Il-Nam said that his son had the same problem as him and got bullied when he was a child. There is a theory that says the frontman and the undercover police officer are the sons of Ol-Il-Nam.
Gi-hun already was caught up in being back at the games without being able to be tracked the thought of the frontman being 001 could definitely be over looked by him
Regarding milk. All white milk in kr are from korean cows, whereas flavored milk are from imported milk, which is pasterized. Gihoon is probably lactose intolerant
I also noticed an important detail - during the first vote, after some participants interrupted, the masked men warned that if anyone interfered with the voting again, there would be consequences. Later, when player 456 was preparing to convince the others to vote for leaving, player 1 noticed his intentions. Anticipating that 456 might interrupt and put himself at risk, player 1 deliberately interrupted first. He knew the masked men wouldn’t harm him, effectively protecting 456 from potential danger.
Not only was Gihun too naive to sieve out the giveaways from In Ho, he was deluded to think he can stage a successful revolt at a lions den of well equipped and nourished troops with a few brave soldiers. It was laughable really when the drastically different games should have hinted at a different set up of game supervisors
There was also this scene where the Front Man joked about whoever chose the umbrella for Dalgona must have been cooked, and Gi-hun was just like, yea totally not me…
I luv how everyone just calls these characters "The Fisherman, The Frontman, The Policeman, Player 456, The Triangle Girl, etc" because Korean names are confusing af.
Another detail/theory: In season 1 there were all games drawed on the wall in the big room with all the beds showing which games the players will be seeing in the next days. In season 2 there is only one drawing tho which is drawn over the whole hall walls: People hanging on triangles with one hand. Maybe this could be one of the last games we will see even tho there can be only 3 more cuz there were 6 games in season 1. In season 2 we had red light green light, mingle and six legs. Which means there will be 3 more games including one of them being "squid game" (probably) Idk where u can find the scene but there is a theory that in season 3 there will be a red light green light but a bit different. There are both dolls seen the girl and the boy. That could be one of the games. If im right its called jack and jill, but im not sure. The second game could either be the game drawn on the wall or its this: in a trailer or teaser were the date of squid game 2 got released and also season 3 got announced there was a scene with front man and 2 guards and in front of them were players running and being shot. It looked like olympcs looking hall. Im not sure if the running game or the hanging game will be a game cuz i didnt see any theories of these before but im pretty sure that we will see atleast one of them and the last game being the same game like in season 1 JUST A THEORY, MY THEORY
I thought I was going crazy when I thought the dummy salesman looked similar to the crazy animated one, but I’m happy there’s more people that thought that too lol
The remaining players count after 001 was separated when they were asked to make groups of 4 was 168, which is still multiples of 4. It would have been a nice easter egg if it was off by 1.
2:04 and player 456 it’s clear he will not kill him because he respect him as other guy that won the game they both in squid game hall of fame so they untouchable
Bro I’m laughing so hard at the people saying he has a lot of money so he can take down the game …little did they realise squid game is the reason that Gi Hun itself have sm money 💀
The biggest slip for me that came from the front man when he addressed the crowd your family is not going to get your bodies back when he was trying to sway their votes and the fact that no one picked up on that is crazy how would he know what happened to the bodies here unless he works here
@pnut3844able take them away but they wouldn't know that they're being incinerated cuz you could have the idea that they are sending your body back to your family people fall all over the world and their bodies get shipped back that is a common practice for him to just yell out your family will not get your body back especially in a place like Korea where funeral rites are a big thing that should have sent up more alarms the fact that he was able to just yell that and no one spoke up is weird this is the same culture where you honor the dead on the day that they died every year like you literally put up a little Shrine in your house input food in front of it for the Dead you visit their place of death wherever it is every year inside the mom of the front man was like oh he has to be going to the Grave this fresh flowers not understanding it was her son that was doing that not getting your body back in Korea when it comes to funeral rites is a big deal
@@KimJongUnnie now that I'm starting to see that you can't see the replies on these comments I think I replied to someone else one that is not common sense when people fall around the world unless it is under extreme circumstances yes the body is returned to the family for funeral rites and especially in a culture like Korea where funeral rites are so big they literally come together and do funeral rites every year for the person that is dead if you go back in the season you'll see the mother is saying he must frontman must be alive because there's fresh flowers on his wife's grave not knowing that it's the younger son that's doing it they take funerals and death very seriously in Korea that was a big tip off they won would expect to get sent home after they do pass away that's the precise reason why they're collecting the bodies they don't know they're going to get incinerated there look up Korean culture and funerals and you'll see what I'm saying that should have been a tip-off hell that's even a tip off here if you fall in battle in a war zone they send your body home

@@JimintheITboy He can pretend to be a frontman, but he'll tell his brother the truth in the third season. Moreover, he will answer him why he works for this organization.
Frontman predicted the game much better than anyone else who would vote what he had great idea about that also he chose strongest players among all in six legs he knew everything just because he has the bio data for everyone already, he's a pure genius!
Song gi hun suspected Young li, we find this out when Jeong Bae asked him, why he didn't bring Young-li with him to the management area first. Gi Hun said that's because he trusts Jeong Bae, implying he didn't entirely trust Young-Li
Gi Hun's not too sharp (maybe) to catch on that, the main reason why his plan kind of fails for now. Sang Woo is the right brain for that. But bro was EVIL in the end.
and with the suggestion of his father being the old man grows when they introduce 001 in nearly identical manners. the front man's hand between the buttons as they vote vs the old man's hand as he too decides the group's choices. the lingering left hand even curled the same
Talking about names, 001 in the first season, the elder man, was named "Oh Il-nam." This means "Number One Man" in Korean, which reflects both his number and he was the original creator. In season 2, 001 says his name is Oh Young-il, meaning "the first one who is forever" or "the perpetual leader" according to Google. Can see similarities in the name, although I am not adept at Korean names. Oh Young-Il then references the coincidence between his name and his number.
In the six-foot pentathlon, the lanes are numbered from 1 to 5 and the lane number where each player is positioned corresponds to the number he/she will play.
I think gi hun did suspect in ho right at the end. When he tries to go into the management area during the shootout he hesitates picking in ho and instead takes his other friend. It’s a little sus
I know its probably wrong but a cool headconon i have is the reason the frontman failed the spinning top so much was he was acctually starting to feel the panic and stress the players had felt (i know he wasnt in any actual danger) and the reason he voted to stop was because he realised how hard these games can acctally be and didnt want to participate any more
I think it's just his calculation was pretty good and he predicted that even if he votes against there still would be a tie and after that a fight will break out which definitely would eliminate players. im not sure tho if knew gi-hun would attack the guards, or maybe he did and that's why they couldn't take all of the masked men down and most of the players from x team died..
A small detail I noticed is that the number on the invitation card for player starts with 456 (the one salesman gave to youtuber) and for staff starts with 001 (the one to the girl), so that they can receive instructions and also interesting because in the game 001 represents the game organization and 456 the players
perhaps he intentionally swapped his grip because gi-hun would recognize the left-handed toss victory of the spinning top and also because it symbolized his target (gi-hun's friend on the right) as opposed to gi-hun himself. Giving Gi-hun even more time to fear what was about to happen. My second theory that I think is a little more fun is that the person wearing the frontman drip isn't actually In-ho, but instead someone else wearing the suit as to not raise suspicion for his absence as he's still dressed entirely in his 001 outfit and I fear it'd be difficult for him to redress so quickly. Anyone also could have talked through the mask as theirs a voice changer built in to it to change the voice no matter what. This would also explain him being right handed. The third option is yes this an oversight in filming and a major plothole due to the nature of if it's In-ho in the suit he would have more likely used his left hand to fire the weapon. Pretty good catch by you to notice this oversight.
The bread and the lotto ticket scene is a direct parallel to the scenes where the players get to choose to leave or play more. The bread, an option which is secure & guaranteed, and the ticket, which has a low to be beneficial, but if it is, the bread payout is substantially smaller than the ticket’s. In this situation, X is the bread and O is the ticket.
Little things you might maybe have missed; The window shade in Gi Hun's bedroom in his Pink Hotel building. It was just like the child like fake clouds like the walls in the cookie game in season 1. You can also see the clouds in the room of the Six Legs game in season 2. The horse mask at the Halloween party is a reference of how Gi Hun keeps telling the Frontman that Gi Hun is not a horse. It's also ironic that the Mingle game had a carousel with horses on it. Again, reference to the "I am not a horse" comment that Gi Hun keeps saying. The images on the walls on the Squid Game communal sleeping quarter in season 1 were images of the games? In season 2, there are now images of people dangling from some high structures as if they were monkey bars. There is also a giant mirrored chess board at the very back of the room. The chess board also had crosses on some of the squares like the crosses that are drawn in blood on the coffin gift boxes and the cross image you see on the X and O voting machine. BTW, I am suspicious of all the X and Os. I am wondering if one of the final 3 games left is Tic, Tac, Toe. To add to the crucifix image, it is also interesting that Thanos wore one. After his death, now he was in gift box coffins that the workers sometimes mark crosses on them. ☁️🐴♟️🪞✝️✖️⭕️

My take was that In-Ho was doing everything in his power to make the game entertaining for the sponsors, delay game 2 to the last second but keep Gi-Hun alive, shoot a couple guards during the uprising but eventually crush the rebellion. At any point he could’ve gunned Gi-hun down but it’s not as entertaining if he dies.
i think he was recruiting gi hun to be a frontman so i doubt he would kill him
In one interview the Director said color red and blue is based on an old Korean folktale.
That was unrelated and just talking about gi-huns choices@@LennoXeno

The Front Man being left handed was a great Easter Egg.
Factsss 📠📠
One thing I noticed is that the obvious hints of who the front man is go unnoticed by the main character in a realistic way. Even if in the previous game the 001 older man was one of the bad guys and the new one makes it really obvious this is the same case, he knows the main character is basically an air-head. Proof of this is season 1. The main character is more serious in this new season because of what he went through, but his mind and level of awareness is still the same.
thats what i thought he didnt research and dug deeper enough to at least get a general idea of who he was planning to take down. he was like taking his revenge on the staff and people operating the games and not the people who are funding and patronizing the game
the main character had a messiahnic complex
gihun thinks like a kid who loses three times in a row to scissors because “come on, they played scissors last time, they surely won’t do it again!” the fact that he’s most likely being played by a frontman numbered 001 for the second time is hilarious

Well lets just wait for s3
nah bro just a dumbass
This season went from fallguys to call of duty while frontman plays among us the whole time
😂
I laughed so hard when the Salesman stomped and squashed all the bread. 😂
best part season he was to good to kill off
He would have been been arrested and jailed in real life for that because littering is EXTREMELY frowned upon in Korea much less at the historical site where he did it.

The Front Man joined the games to give Gi-Hun a reality check.
0:46 The old guy 001 in s1 when they were playing marbles he says hes son can't drink milk so maybe the frontman is 001 son
They didn’t mention how old the cop brother was when the front man went missing, And they mentioned that he donated an organ to him (I’m sure being half brothers they would be a match, but if he was his father, he would be more likely to be a match)
There is clearly a big age difference between them, and possibly if his wife died, giving birth to him he may have asked his stepmother to raise the boy because it was too hard for him with everything he had just gone through.
Lol, it’s just a tinfoil hat theory. Im most likely 100% wrong, but it’s fun to guess 😊
For this to be true, the ultra wealthy old man had to ignore both of his sons urgent medical needs
@@AREA-jp8vbfront man is not that old to be cops father's...
Slowly breaking him.
yes he was left handed i think
my initial guess was that the series would end with gihun being the new frontman, just like the ending of the horror film "the midnight meat train" with the once-frightened main character (played by bradley cooper) replacing the subway axe-murderer to feed the creatures at the end of the tracks.
let's revisit in a year and see how it goes.
Gi hun was driven by anger, and was schooled twice.
The cartoon popping up every 5 seconds is annoying as hell
The frontman didnt cheated in the mingle game because when the camera is on top we can count them, and the number of players is a multiple of 4
Bro.....whys everyone saying when they saw 001 he was sus.....in the last season we saw his face
Crazy the old man was the dad of the cops! Atleast my theory with him denying the milk and old ill nam was like my kid cant drink milk.
Not only was Gihun too naive to sieve out the giveaways from In Ho, he was deluded to think he can stage a successful revolt at a lions den of well equipped and nourished troops with a few brave soldiers. It was laughable really when the drastically different games should have hinted at a different set up of game supervisors
😅 tru he thought he could stop the games while playing the games 😅
There was also this scene where the Front Man joked about whoever chose the umbrella for Dalgona must have been cooked, and Gi-hun was just like, yea totally not me…
I luv how everyone just calls these characters "The Fisherman, The Frontman, The Policeman, Player 456, The Triangle Girl, etc" because Korean names are confusing af.
Can we all agree that Bro saying Unnie in the video is so cute 😅💫
note to self, always eliminate player 001 first in any game you play
The vibes in season 2 were top, I completely forgot we weren't meant to like In-ho 😂
The Old Man was Player 001 in Season 1
The Front Man was Player 001 in Season 2
Another detail/theory:
In season 1 there were all games drawed on the wall in the big room with all the beds showing which games the players will be seeing in the next days. In season 2 there is only one drawing tho which is drawn over the whole hall walls:
People hanging on triangles with one hand.
Maybe this could be one of the last games we will see even tho there can be only 3 more cuz there were 6 games in season 1.
In season 2 we had red light green light, mingle and six legs. Which means there will be 3 more games including one of them being "squid game" (probably)
Idk where u can find the scene but there is a theory that in season 3 there will be a red light green light but a bit different.
Im not sure if the running game or the hanging game will be a game cuz i didnt see any theories of these before but im pretty sure that we will see atleast one of them and the last game being the same game like in season 1
JUST A THEORY, MY THEORY
I thought I was going crazy when I thought the dummy salesman looked similar to the crazy animated one, but I’m happy there’s more people that thought that too lol
I think Season 2 was brilliant. The complaints about the cliffhanger is a good thing. We want more!
The remaining players count after 001 was separated when they were asked to make groups of 4 was 168, which is still multiples of 4. It would have been a nice easter egg if it was off by 1.
The front man is 99% evil but that 1%
2:04 and player 456 it’s clear he will not kill him because he respect him as other guy that won the game they both in squid game hall of fame so they untouchable

I'm just over here stuck wondering why it wasn't questioned on the connection between the 2 #001, especially with how he hears his voice in season 1.
4:04 And of course, the fact that the players are on a carousel for the third game, this demonstrates once again they are considered horses
In the six-foot pentathlon, the lanes are numbered from 1 to 5 and the lane number where each player is positioned corresponds to the number he/she will play.

I know its probably wrong but a cool headconon i have is the reason the frontman failed the spinning top so much was he was acctually starting to feel the panic and stress the players had felt (i know he wasnt in any actual danger) and the reason he voted to stop was because he realised how hard these games can acctally be and didnt want to participate any more
No 😂😂😂😂 he trolling the fuck out of his teammates in a sadistic way 😂😂. How the fuck you accidentally spin a top backwards.
He can just left the games without actually getting sh00t just like 001 in s1
But remember that the Frontman was a previous winner. So he, more than the current players, fully understood the 'stress' of the games. Cheers
@@louisanaibi oh I must have brushed over that when watching. Had no clue he was a previous winner. Appreciate ya for pointing that out

A small detail I noticed is that the number on the invitation card for player starts with 456 (the one salesman gave to youtuber) and for staff starts with 001 (the one to the girl), so that they can receive instructions and also interesting because in the game 001 represents the game organization and 456 the players
Left handed theory somewhat went out the window at 2:32 no?
perhaps he intentionally swapped his grip because gi-hun would recognize the left-handed toss victory of the spinning top and also because it symbolized his target (gi-hun's friend on the right) as opposed to gi-hun himself.
That shot was mirrored. In the actual scene, he was using his left hand.

The bread, an option which is secure & guaranteed, and the ticket, which has a low to be beneficial, but if it is, the bread payout is substantially smaller than the ticket’s. In this situation, X is the bread and O is the ticket.

Little things you might maybe have missed;
The window shade in Gi Hun's bedroom in his Pink Hotel building.
