It’s simply better cause it’s not ABSURDLY overpriced
and more Protection
I just wish the magic keyboard gives actual side protection like this case does. It would be the one step to make it perfect.
I know there are cases like this to work with the Magic Keyboard but it does basically make your total cost for a case over $400 unfortunately 🫡

Nice review. Simple and direct.❤
I’ve just bought my new ESR rebound magnetic 360 for my ipad pro 11 2024. It works perfectly.
The disadvantages are thicker, heavier and clicky touchpad. Other things are really good with nice typing, quite good material case & keyboard and full gesture with touchpad.
So I’m happy with this keyboard because it sastified my needs with a cheaper price vs magic keyboard.
May I know why a trackpad is important when ipad has touchscreen? Sorry for this silly question, i never owned one but thinking of getting one soon. Hope you can help. Thanks!
i love that you can position the ipad that high for better ergonomics but the weight might just undo all the good ergonomics when i have to carry it around. i don’t even like carrying my macbook air and that’s 30% lighter. i guess i’d have to upgrade from a bag to a backpack
Yeah everything is pretty good about it. Having to carry it around every day might be its undoing for some people.
loved this review!
Will the Apple Pencil Pro charge while it’s in the ESR case? Or do you have to take the case off every time you want to charge it?
Thank you for your video regarding the keyboard for the iPad. I appreciate your prompt response and assistance.
I wanted to share my thoughts on the keyboard. While it is quite nice in many respects, I have encountered a few issues that I believe are worth mentioning:
1. **Weight**: When the iPad is attached to the keyboard, the combined weight is significantly heavy, making it less portable and convenient than I had hoped.
2. **Magnet Functionality**: The magnet does not seem to work effectively without a cover, which limits its usability and functionality.
3. **Viewing Angle**: The viewing angle could benefit from more flexibility. It would be helpful if it allowed for greater adjustment to achieve a more comfortable viewing experience.
. **Pencil Magnet**: The magnet for the pencil is quite weak. When the pencil is attached to the iPad and the keyboard is opened, the pencil often falls off, which is very inconvenient.
Also I feel the touchpad slow how I fixated
Hey ya, you spoke about the magnets. I would Like to use it without the inner case. Does it work? Without changing the Position?
@@bl4ckx977no you can’t
@@mohamedalatiah8704 also what do you mean about the trackpad? Why is it bad?
Thanks a lot for your honest opinion, really helps me man. And i want to ask, because it connected using bluetooth is it any delay when you typing the keyboard?
Are you recommend to buy this keyboard or apple magic keyboard?
Love this video. New sub.
thank you so much 🥲
best review!
For the removable case, when its laid down flat does it move around on the table at all when drawing/writing with the pencil?
could you do a comparison in terms of the anver version ? thankyou !!!
May I ask if the track pad can be touched smoothly and not hardly clicked just to function?
Only the 13” version has a real function row keys.
Wow thanks! I thought all of them had function row keys

Does this mean I can put it to the side so I leave some room on the right for my phone with mag safe magnetic case so I can have them both attached and double screen? That’s pretty lit
No, the iPhone’s MagSafe doesn’t have anything that lines up with the cases magnets.
I see why it may look like it doesn't close all the way. It's to protect the screen of the tablet. Unless you have a strong screen protector on it.
In your review of this case you show checking the battery level. How and where did you do this
@@edwardlustigman2568 you just need to add the battery widget to your Home Screen
support.apple.com/guide/ipad/add-edit-and-remove-widgets-ipadb0de8630/17.0/ipados/17.0#iPad9a917066
Thank you i appreciate the prompt response
How about the Bluetooth latency ? Is it really bad? O even noticeable?
there is no perceivable bluetooth latency.
thanks @jimmylamstudio ; really useful
what is it like to use on your lap?
everything I find about the ESR Rebound is on a desk or table; can you use it on your lap?
like a Macbook Air?
I used to have a Brydge MAX + ,but the hinge broke on that; looking at this as a replacement
This Probably one of the better reviews out there 🫡
It is a 20$ worth of keyboard attached to a another 20$ worth of folio case. Bluetooth connection issues will drive you crazy in a week if you ever used magic keyboard or Logitech keyboard case before
I’ve tried both the magic and this out. I stuck with the ESR. The case feels more durable, and the functions are there. Yes, you trade off a little, but the magic case for the pro 11 m4 2TB cost $350, this case was $89 bucks on amazon. There was a sale, but it’s still $99 today. That’s a steal compared to apple’s keyboard. The Magic Keyboard is not worth the cost of a standard iPad
Thank you for the review! This, the Logitech Combo Pro and of course Magic Keyboard are what I’m considering for the 13” Pro. The thing that bothers me about the Magic Keyboard is that I can see the keys touching the iPad’s screen since there’s nothing to stop them. At 8:19 and 8:43 I can see little bumpers in the corners. My old Brydge keyboard has rubber bumpers and they prevented any key touches on the screen. Is that what the ESR has? Protecting the screen is a big deal for me. Thanks 😊
the screen isn't being touched, yes it has some rubber bumpers to keep it from touching.
@@JimmyLamStudiosold! The bumpers, versatility in placement and greater key travel are all features I like. Thank you 😊 🤔 A thought though. I couldn’t tell from the video but due to the hinge issue does it have an auto sleep/wake?
Thanks for review! Is the inner case compatible with the ESR Shift case?
no, none of ESR's magnet cases are cross compatible.
@@JimmyLamStudioohhh Mann… that’s a massive flaw! I wish they were, I was hoping to keep the ‘frame’ and just change between cases depending on the use. Thanks for pointing it out!
The only thing which makes me wonder if I will get it is if the trackpad is as smooth functional and nice to use as the Logitech or Magic Keyboard. Otherwise all of the downsides are like wins for me cause the battery is practical, it makes it thicker and more solid in the bag whilst keeping it thin if taken out of the case whilst still having some protection, and it also doesn’t use iPad battery so I can pop the lights of keys at max all the time. And the design is awesome for a fraction of the price all whilst still protecting!
So is the trackpad usable and good?
Sorry I did cut that portion due to the length of the video. I would prefer the Magic Keyboard but it’s not by much. It’s like 95% of the way there imo. None of the trackpads are as good as the ones on MacBooks though. I did turn up the sensitivity in the settings so it would cover more area with a single swipe but I also had to do that on the Magic Keyboard anyways.

Ok thanks for the answer man imma sub!
Any clue if the protective case fits in the bamboo drawing stand?
@@aspectxiv it will not fit. There is the walnut stand that is a little bit bigger for cases but I haven’t personally tried it yet.
amzn.to/3LL8UhV
I prefer more travel in my keyboards. Would you rate the ESR as having one of the highest travel or is there a keyboard with more? I’m a touch typist and the lower the travel the slower I get.
no, there isn't much travel with the keys. I dont think they could have more travel on a relatively thin setup.
You know you can insert timestamps into the video itself right..
good video tho
Does the keyboard/keys hit the screen at all?
@@miked4926 no, there’s little rubber bumpers to keep them apart and the iPad case has a slight lip.
How thick is the iPad once you put it into the protective magnetic case) does it add a lot of bulk or is the iPad still thin without it being installed on the keyboard?
The iPad alone is 0.23” and 0.38” with the single case on. Still very thin. I don’t mind holding it with the case on.
@@JimmyLamStudiotysm!
This keyboard gets musty quick 😢 it’s amazing though
is it compatible with 11” M1 iPad Pro?
yes, just get the 11" version amzn.to/3WohKqY
Hey, quick question. I got. the iPad Pro m2 2022 11inch, Can i use the Keyboard without the inner case ?
Thank you
Yes but the ipad won’t stick on it because it doesn’t have magnets,i just bought it yesterday
Honestly for me the biggest issue is that it makes the iPad too heavy. Sorta defeats the purpose of why you get an iPad in the first place
Is there for air version?
yes, they have it for the air and other versions amzn.to/3VJl8hb
If ur talking about the Air m1 & Pro m2 11 inch, the same case can be used. I was testing ESR on both iPads
