I don't understand why being hard to break is a good thing. From what I know, the harder it is to break, worse for the screen, because there is no impact absorption in the film, transferring the impact to the screen... It's like car structures or motorcycle helmets. Am I wrong?

Thank you so much for making this video. I can't believe that so many of the glass ones broke so easily at 1-2 feet drops expect for AACL'S 7 feet drop. I went through so many of these protectors cause they kept chipping, now I can finally find a good one. Again, thank you so much!!!

I use the Samsung anti-reflective screen and it does reflect a fair amount of annoying glare and those two parallel lines down the middle do disappear after time. At the price though, I wouldn't recommend it 🍻
Its 100% worth the price don't listen to him. $25 for eliminating most glare and still protecting your screen is well worth it.

That's depressing.... You can't get the AACL in anything other than "Ultra". I have the Plus.
Well, the ONLY hopefully "good" trusted brand I can find is Spigen, hopefully they have a good "drop test" capability, can't find any reviews. Sadly they are more expensive and only give you ONE screen.
Also, I don't know why this guy doesn't generally test the "major brands" also, like Spigen would have been a MUST in this video.

Wow, i'm glad I watched this before buying a tempered glass screen protector. Seems like the majority of them are junk.

Not all anti reflective coatings have to be matte, matte just spreads the light out over an area, while a glossy ar coating will add a smoother transition from air to glass reducing reflections by making that transition less harsh
For an example, compare 18:30 a normal film vs 8:40
I've never seen a glossy surface reduce reflections. This makes absolutely no sense.
@@squatch545 the reason there is a reflection is due to a difference in refractive index, similar to how this beaker no longer distorts light because the fluid around it has a similar refrative index.

if you place a film that smoothly changes the refractive index from that of air to that of the screens glass (and other trickery) it doesnt need to be matte to dramatically reduce reflections.
Open 2 tabs of youtube, one tab with the official film reflecting one of his studio lights, and one with the default screen. you can see a difference

Yessss I love this massive online glass protector roundups and testing, its how I found you when I bought the Tab S8 Ultra... but I had to get the waterproof S9 Ultra ahahaha. EDIT: Wow the difference in drop protection is MASSIVE this is why testing done here is PRICELESS, I would have never known.

Thanks for your work. I don't understand why Samsung don't make their screen anti-reflective by default. They can do it on their TVs and the picture quality is still superb. I would like to have it less reflective but those lines, bubbles and dust are absolutely no-go.

Can you make a video with the best screen protectors and cases for the Galaxy tab S9 Plus?
I would imagine the screen protectors and cases would function identically to this test, just in a different form factor.
No real need to double up testing.
@@TheStaniG It wouldn't necessarily be doubling up. I watched the whole video thinking all the covers would likely be available for the 11" S9. I decided to get the recommended AACL. It's not available for the S9.
@@marycolemanglass2304the Better Future AACL is available, you just have to ship it from amazon US. Its not for example where Im at on Amazon Australia so I had to pay like 11 bucks to ship it to me.

Im still pissed that Whitestone Dome dont do large tablet glass... theyre the only ones I TRULY trust with my products. All my phones for YEARS have had faultless installations and longevity with them.
Try the spigen one. Comes with a guide frame. I highly recommend it
@@johngardner869 its an OUTRAGEOUS $80 here in Australia. For a 1 glass unit that is highway robbery. Also you cant always guarantee dust, no matter how hard you try, wont still make it under the glass before placement in the guide (a little easier with whitestone) so imagine placing the spigen down and finding a dust fleck.... $80 down the toilet.
They have a s8 model one i just used it
So many of the installs are crap. I see non that deserve a thumbs up. They all need more hardness, better install kits and much bigger dust pads
