The benefit of having another case protecting the iPad is when you want to detach it from the keyboard and start drawing with the apple pencil. It is super useful and effortless. My current iPad pro with the magic keyboard is such a pain whenever I want to start drawing as there is no case protecting it when detached from the keyboard. The camera bump makes the iPad uneven on table and would scratch the camera.
I went with the ESR case! For my usage, it is definitely the more sensible purchase. I love the fact that there are multiple attachment heights for the iPad and the ability to turn it to portrait mode is a huge plus. The typing experience is very good as well. Probably not quite as good as the magic keyboard but my Mac is my primary device so the ESR case is more than good enough for my iPad as a secondary device. I also love the inner case, because I do detach my iPad a good bit to hand write notes. The only thing that absolutely kills me is that the inner case is not compatible with the ESR rebound magnetic folio case! The inner cases are literally identical, but the magnets are placed differently! Why in the World did ESR not make the magnetic attachment the same?! They missed a huge opportunity to have the complete package for the iPad Pro.
Hi William! So happy you are loving your ESR Rebound 360 Keyboard Case...there is a lot to love! However, I totally hear your frustration on the lack of compatibility between the inner cases of the two Rebound 360 products. My guess is this is because the magnets have to be in different positions to have different capabilities. I have a bunch of ESR cases for the iPad Pro M4 11 inch, and there is no mix and match compatibility between any of them. So unfortunate. I can't imagine ESR is unaware of this, so I think it must be unavoidable somehow... Thanks for watching, and enjoy your new iPad Pro setup!
Hi Tiff! It is certainly priced right! For me, the extra weight and the fact you have to charge it are the only real downsides. I think it is a very good product!
Great review. I see why ESR had to use a steeper angle. Any lower and the keyboard would tip over while in elevated mode. Just FYI, Pitaka makes a slim case for the iPad which can be used with the Apple Magic Keyboard so that would solve the issue of the edges being exposed because it has the pin connectors integrated. There’s at least 2 others but I am not sure if they are available yet.
Good point on the angles, Jon. I'm sure you are right. And yes...I will hopefully be receiving Pitaka's MagEZ case later this month. I reviewed it for the 2022 iPad Pro/Magic Keyboard combo and was impressed.😊
Hi @pleswalker! I agree that the ESR Rebound 360 feels very stable, but I'm not noticing a wobble with the Apple Magic Keyboard. Do you mean when you are typing?
@@TheTechReviewer The Apple Keyboard wobbles when you touch the screen. I know Apple wants us to think it’s a laptop, but at that price point a tablet shouldn’t wobble when you touch the tablet. The last Magic Keyboard was much more stable. If you compare the hinge from the last model to the new model, you will see the reason why it wobbles so badly. It was a deal breaker for me and I returned the Magic Keyboard. I went with the ESR keyboard and have been extremely happy with it.
OK, I get it. I don't tend to touch the screen much when I am using the keyboard, so I didn't notice it before. And for me, I really only notice a slight wobble when the iPad Pro is in a more reclined position. But I can see how that would be a deal breaker for you if you frequently touch the screen when using the Magic Keyboard. Glad you found a superior option for you with the ESR Rebound 360!
@@enoch_likeit the track pad is definitely smaller on the Rebound. This wasn’t important to me because I use a mouse. Apples trackpad is nicer but not worth the higher price tag in my opinion. I would check out the ESR Ascend keyboard if the trackpad is important to you. The trackpad is larger on that version but has less features than the Rebound.
Thank you for your video regarding the keyboard for the iPad. I appreciate your prompt response and assistance. I wanted to share my thoughts on the keyboard. While it is quite nice in many respects, I have encountered a few issues that I believe are worth mentioning: 1. **Weight**: When the iPad is attached to the keyboard, the combined weight is significantly heavy, making it less portable and convenient than I had hoped. 2. **Magnet Functionality**: The magnet does not seem to work effectively without a cover, which limits its usability and functionality. 3. **Viewing Angle**: The viewing angle could benefit from more flexibility. It would be helpful if it allowed for greater adjustment to achieve a more comfortable viewing experience. 4.**Pencil Magnet**: The magnet for the pencil is quite weak. When the pencil is attached to the iPad and the keyboard is opened, the pencil often falls off, which is very inconvenient. Also I feel the touchpad slow how I fixated
Hi Mohamed! Thanks for sharing your Rebound 360 experience! I totally agree with you on the weight issue...it's bulkier and heavier than Apple's Magic Keyboard. As for using it without the inner case, that's not supported for the 2024 M4 11 inch Rebound 360 version (but it was for the 2022 11 inch version). Which iPad Pro version are you using? You are right that there are fewer viewing angle options with the Rebound 360 as opposed to the Magic Keyboard...the cantilever design doesn't work quite as well. I didn't notice any issues with the magnetic attachment for Apple Pencil Pro, however...I wonder if you got a defective unit? The same goes for the touchpad...mine seemed fine. You might want to reach out to ESR. Thanks so much for watching, and sharing your feedback. And have a great weekend!
So happy you did this very detailed review. I am looking at the ESR one for a while and could not find a sufficiently detailed review to also know if the quality is good or not… thanks again!
Glad it was helpful! I think the Rebound 360 offers an excellent value. It’s not as cool looking as the Apple Magic Keyboard, or as thin and lightweight, and it does require Bluetooth to connect and USB-C charging. However, for the difference in price, I think many people will find those issues to be relatively minor.
Best review of the ESR case I’ve seen so far! You did not leave a single question unanswered. Thanks to you, I just put in my order for the ESR case. Subscribed and liked, keep it up!
I was looking at this because of the easy detach feature of the secondary case. Most after-market keyboard cases either don’t have the secondary case, or it’s a laptop form factor where the iPad sits in a housing (not as easy to lift it off the keyboard and ‘go’). - Just ordered, I’ll follow-up with my thoughts, I’m mostly worried about the lag of the Bluetooth vs the directly connected Magic Keyboard. I refuse to buy their Magic Keyboard it of principle (that price is just outrageous considering the price of the iPad itself, you can get a full M2/M3 MacBook Air for less) My gripe with the iPad either filling the role of a locked-down crappy laptop experience or a mid-tier drawing tablet aside, I’m eager to see how this keyboard + Trackpad performs.
I really like the detachable inner case of the Rebound 360...your iPad Pro has protection when it is being used in the keyboard case (unlike the Magic Keyboard where it is so vulnerable). And the inner case is pleasant to use in its detached form...nice to hold when reading, or whatever. I hope you like it!!
Is it possible to “comfortably” put the ipad over the keyboard for a temporary tilted drawing angle ? 😅 or interchange this case with their esr shift product.
Sadly, the ESR case parts are not interchangeable...at least none of the ones I have, anyway. The magnets are positioned differently...very frustrating! The Shift won't play nice with the Rebound 360 keyboard case, the Rebound Hybrid case, etc... As for propping up the inner case in a temporary drawing angle, maybe you could do that if you closed the Rebound 360 Keyboard Case and then propped up the inner case on the closed keyboard case? Not sure if that low of an angle would be of any help, though. Alternatively, if you already own the Shift case, you can try putting it at the lowest typing/drawing angle, without the inner case, and rest the iPad Pro, in the Rebound 360 keyboard case inner case, against this slightly angled stand. The magnets won’t attach properly, but it will rest there in a reasonably stable manner. Again, though…it won’t be magnetically secured in any way to the Shift case…it would just be leaning up against it.
So happy to hear another data point on that! Another viewer reported the same thing. I also heard that the Ascend Keyboard Case (another one of ESR's iPad Pro keyboard cases) has a function row for both the 11 and 13 inch models. I'm hoping to get a chance to check out the Ascend Keyboard Case soon... Hope you are loving your new iPad Pro and ESR case!!
Thank you for an excellent review. The ESR looks like the perfect keyboard case for me. I especially like the portrait mode and detachable protective case.
Thank you! So happy you found the review to be helpful! I think it's a great alternative to Apple's Magic Keyboard, and as you mention, the addition of an inner case for your iPad and the ability to put your iPad Pro in portrait mode are features that are simply unavailable with Apple's Magic Keyboard. Enjoy your weekend!
Great content and review you always go above and beyond. Yes the bigger ESR pad has a back row function key line. It’s a nice case but the Apple one is eye catching.Totally agree with you on the material for both cases , it’s a pity Apple didn’t do the same with the outside give it an update, instead of that silicone feel . Thanks again for a great review enjoy your weekend 😎
Thanks, Mary!! The Rebound 360 case is a better choice than the Apple Magic Keyboard for a lot of people…it’s a solid case with lots of functionality. But I think the Apple Magic Keyboard is absolutely worth it if you want the ultimate iPad Pro keyboard case experience. And if Apple had updated that exterior material it would have been even better…maybe they are waiting to come out with the ‘Magic Keyboard Pro’🤣 Have a fantastic weekend!!!
Can you check if this product can be used with the 2020 11-inch Ipad Pro? I feel that the features of this version are better than the version for the old generations of Ipad Pro (in my area, the old 11-inch Ipad versions will use the same case as the Ipad Air 6). When I asked the sales staff, they said they could not use it together but still did not give a specific reason. I wonder if the case of the iPad has a magnet to stick to the keyboard, as long as the Ipad fits into the case, it can be used. Thank you.
I don’t have that version of the iPad Pro, but in my experience, these cases are very version specific. I highly doubt that this version would be backwards compatible with your iPad. So sorry!!
Cool! Is that the ESR Rebound Hybrid 360 case? This one? www.esrgear.com/products/ipad-pro-11-2024-rebound-hybrid-case-360/ I'm hoping to review that one soon...
What are those little bumpers on the palm rests made of? I have a Brydge keyboard now and they are rubber. I like how the keyboard doesn’t touch the iPad with that tiny protection.
They are rubber on the Rebound 360 as well. And they do the same thing: keep your iPad Pro screen from touching the keys. It works well. Too bad about Brydge…they went out of business, right?
I hear you. The magnets in the ESR cases are all designed to work with their specific requirements, and there is zero ability to mix and match between the various cases. I know…I’ve tried!! 😂
ya since apple seems to refuse to make smart keyboard folio for these new models i guess this will be what im doing, it honestly looks really good. magic keyboard price is ridiculous, you could buy a regular ipad at that price. this looks like more protection without messing with the thinness too much. wish it could use the connectors on the ipad though
Thank you for this review. I am getting the ipad pro 13 inch and the biggest complaint for the magic keyboard is not having a place or something to secure the apple pencil which is a huge let down. Apple def couldve incorporated something like the esr case to secure it. Since the 13 inch version has the function row i dont think theres anything the magic keyboard can do. Plus as someone who will have the ipad out of the case for my sheet music and also when drawing i wont have to get another thin case. For the price of this new ipad i wouldnt dare lay this bare naked devie on any surface while drawing esp cause of the camera bump. Ill be getting the esr price for a third of that 350 dollar one.
Hi Kai! I think you'll be very happy with the ESR Rebound 360. It sounds pretty perfect for your needs. Also, as you are clearly into both art and music, it sounds like the new iPad Pro is pretty perfect for your needs as well! Enjoy!!
Yes indeed! I haven't reviewed it, because I only have the 11 iPad Pro 2024 (M4), but I imagine the 13 inch version is going to be almost the same. From what I understand, it has one upgrade that the 11 inch version doesn't have: a function key row! So that's great. Here's an affiliate link to the product on Amazon: amzn.to/4bM2tGC Thanks for watching, and have a great day!
@@TheTechReviewer You’re mostly right, it does not offer the higher elevated modes. I just tried it, and it only has two positions, all the way down with the edge resting on the bottom, and about a 1” lift, so not as good as the 360’s elevated position.
@EddNog Good to know!! I’ve never had the opportunity to check out that product…hopefully I’ll be able to get my hands on one in the coming days. It’s sounding better and better!
It is considerable. I don't have the proper scale to weigh the two different keyboard cases myself, but the figures I see online say that the Apple Magic Keyboard for the 11 inch iPad Pro 2024 is 580 grams, and the ESR Rebound 360 Keyboard Case for the 2024 iPad Pro 11 inch is 850 grams
I think the two are pretty similar, actually. The areas where the Magic Keyboard is going to clearly win out are weight and thickness (and of course not having to be charged)...but in most other areas, the amount of difference between the two is pretty small...
Absolutely. Just like the Magic Keyboard, the ESR Rebound 360 Keyboard Case feels like a small laptop. Great for lap use or to prop up on your stomach when watching movies in bed.😊
For the version for the 2022 iPad Pro (M2) ESR Rebound 360, you could attach the iPad Pro to the keyboard case without the inner case, but just in landscape…no elevated landscape or portrait options. However, for the 2024 iPad Pro (M4) version of this ESR Rebound 360 case, you are required to use it with the inner case. It won’t work with a naked iPad at all
Does the ipad work with other cases on the esr? I have a thinner case and was wondering if the magnetic attachment to the esr keyboard would work. thank you
Hi Zak! Unfortunately, I doubt any other case will work with the ESR keyboard case. I have many thin inner cases, both ESR branded and not, and none of them so far has fit with the ESR keyboard case (other than the one which came with keyboard case). I think the magnets are positioned in a very special way…
Hi Patty! So, with the previous version of the ESR Rebound 360, the one for the iPad Pro 2022 11 inch, you could use your iPad Pro without the inner case to a certain extent. The magnets weren't quite as good, and you were limited to only the standard landscape position, but it worked. However, something has changed with the magnet positioning with this new model of ESR Rebound 360 Keyboard Case for the 2024 iPad Pro 11 inch: you can no longer use it with a naked iPad. It can only be used with the inner case. Kind of disappointing...
According to info I see online (unfortunately I don't have the proper scale to weigh the two different keyboard cases myself), the Apple Magic Keyboard for the 11 inch iPad Pro 2024 is 580 grams, and the ESR Rebound 360 Keyboard Case for the 2024 iPad Pro 11 inch is 850 grams. So the weight difference is 270 grams...
i was wondering if you could let me know if the "inner case" has additional embedded magnets that also allows it to adhere to metal surfaces when it is away from the keyboard "dock". Thanks!
Yes, the inner case does have embedded magnets. And you can use it to some extent to attach it to metal surfaces such as a refrigerator, but the magnets in the inner case aren't quite as strong as the magnets on some of ESR's cases. For example, the magnets on the inner case of the ESR Shift case are stronger. I have no worries sticking my iPad Pro in the ESR Shift inner case to my fridge...it feels very secure. With the inner case from this Rebound 360 Keyboard case, it sticks on...but I'm worried it will start slowly sliding down over time.
Thanks to you. I am buying the ESR keyboard case for much better protection than apples magic keyboard and with the money I save. I will get a new apple watch. I am a picky person so for me to go with ESR instead of Apple’s keyboard. Says alot. Thanks again.
Unfortunately, no. In my experience thus far, none of the ESR case modules are able to be mix and matched with other case modules. The magnets are in different configurations, I think.
I hear you! It's very frustrating. I'm sure ESR would make them mutually compatible if they could, because it would be another selling point. It must just not be possible given the configuration of the magnets.
Awesome review as usual. I love this keyboard combo, however, the deal breaker for me is the lack of the function keys row for the 11 inch (which is what I have). Gonna have to go with the Logitech Combo. Bummer that they didn't include the function keys on the 11 inch - I think my favorite feature is the stylus pen holder. 😄😄
Hi Reginald! I hear you on the function keys! Before you shell out the big bucks for the Logitech Combo Touch, you might want to consider ESR’s very reasonably priced Ascend keyboard case. It’s not as good (in my opinion) as the Rebound 360, but it is cheaper, lighter, and the 11 inch version has a function key row.
@@TheTechReviewer Thank you for the suggestion. I just got back from picking up the Logitech. I watched your review on the Ascend and really didn't like how it attaches. I also have a Surface Pro and I'm used to that type of keyboard, so I like the Logitech much better, which functions much like my Surface Pro. Keep up the good work!!
Hi @aliabdullah7867! If you are talking about the inner case for this keyboard case, the case is slim and lightweight and doesn't have big bezels. The fit is good overall, but the areas over the port openings have more flex that I would like...probably because of the thinness of the material in those areas. It's a slim case on a slimmer product, so unless they designed the case to be thicker, I think this issue is unavoidable. It's a light duty case, not drop rated, but it is pleasant in the hand and adds value to the package overall. I think it's a nice addition to the ESR Keyboard Case
Hi Alejandro! So, I don't have the proper scale to weigh the two different keyboard cases myself, but the figures I see online say that the Apple Magic Keyboard for the 11 inch iPad Pro 2024 is 580 grams, and the ESR Rebound 360 Keyboard Case for the 2024 iPad Pro 11 inch is 850 grams. So it is a noticeable difference...
I think that overall, everything is a bit better with the Magic Keyboard. Like most Apple products, they just do everything pretty perfectly. The only real issue I have with the Magic Keyboard is that you have to use it with a naked iPad Pro (unless you buy one of the very few third party cases out there which are compatible with Magic Keyboard) and that the MK gets dirty easily. Other than that, it is absolutely outstanding, and not surprisingly the trackpad and keyboard are both going to be a bit better than third party products. However, the amount of improvement is pretty small and I'm not sure that it is sufficient to justify the purchase of the Magic Keyboard over the Rebound, given the large price difference between the two. 😊
Hi Riccardo! Not this one...it is especially for the iPad Pro M4. But it looks like this model might fit? www.esrgear.com/products/ipad-air-5-4-and-pro-11-rebound-magnetic-keyboard-case-360-esr/
Hi Darnell! I hear you...the connection that Apple uses with its Magic Keyboard (and what Logitech uses with the Combo Touch) is definitely more elegant. You never have to worry about charging your keyboard case or doing the initial pairing. But you are definitely paying for that privilege! The Coverbuddy+Magic Keyboard solution looks cool. Have you used it before? I've never used Coverbuddy, but I've used Pitaka's MagEZ Case 2 and it worked great with my 2022 iPad Pro 11 inch and Magic Keyboard. I'll be reviewing that combo for my new iPad Pro M4 11 inch as soon as Pitaka sends me out my review sample.😊 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. And enjoy your 13 inch iPad Pro!
Lovely review 😊!!!! I just wanted to ask about the “function row.” I see that there are little icons on the bottom of the number row in which are also indicators of actual functions. Is it possible to just press FN or the Control key in order to use those extra functions even if there isn’t a designated function row? Thanks.
Great review! This is the first review I’ve found for the M4 11” iPad Pro! I have been eyeing up this case as I look to replace my 10.5” iPad Pro. I just had a few questions. Could you tell me the weight of the ESR? Do you have to manually connect it every time you use it? Or does it remember and connect to it when you turn on the keyboard? I know the glass trackpad on the Magic Keyboard is better, but how would you describe the accuracy of the ESR trackpad? Thanks you!!
Hi Dominic! The Rebound 360 is a good product. Pairing via Bluetooth is easy and in my experience, only needs to be done once. The keyboard continues to remember your iPad Pro. The trackpad is nice and responsive and the keyboard works very well. As far as the weight is concerned, I don’t have a figure for that. It’s definitely noticeably more than the Magic Keyboard. But I guess you have to have some downsides when the price is so much lower…
How would you compare the weight of just the inner case (not the keyboard portion) to a Smart Folio case? Would you say it’s heavier or lighter? Thanks!
@dominictorre7872 I’m sorry, I don’t have the Smart Folio case, so I can’t help you with that comparison. But I think the inner case is quite thin and light…in my opinion, it adds to the iPad Pro experience because it gives you a little grip.
Hmm...that's odd! You might want to check my Amazon affiliate link again: when I click on it, I get the iPad Pro 11 inch 2024 (M4) version of the ESR Rebound 360 Keyboard: amzn.to/4bmdKO6
But on second glance, I see that it is showing as 'currently unavailable'...not sure what is going on...that doesn't sound right! I'll ask my contact at ESR what's going on. Stay tuned!
Hi, I would be very grateful if you could check whether the iPad pro M4 inside the case from ESR Rebound Hybrid Case 360 (2024) fits and magnetically attaches to keyboard from the review, I would like to use them interchangeable, cheers!
I checked it…it won’t work. The magnets are positioned differently. So sorry!! I’m also disappointed…I think that would be nice to be able to mix and match.
Not quite sure what you mean by safe? I installed it on my new iPad Pro 2024 11 inch a few days ago and everything went smoothly. Installer was easy to use. I’m happy to have it on there…it has a nice slippery smooth feel and it is providing scratch and some impact protection to my iPad Pro…
Well, I found the Armorite screen protector to be easy to install and I'm enjoying having it on my iPad so far. It comes in a 2 pack for $15, so the price is pretty reasonable. Hope you are loving your new iPad Pro! Which color did you get?
Given that you have reviewed so many cases for the new M4 iPad Pro 11”, have you encounter any folio cover that can be used with this Rebound Keyboard case yet?
That's really unfortunate, hope your reviewing journey will eventually find one! Do update us if there might be any. On a side note, after a bit of usage, I started noticing that when keys are pressed (ie. when you might be typing or using a shortcut), the trackpad seems to get "cut off" for Rebound. I tested similar usage with MK, MK trackpad/cursor continues to run/perform as expected. Is that something that you have experienced as well? Thanks for getting back with all the questions! There aren't a lot of reviewers or others that have both to help compare and confirm these, really appreciate it.
@@TheTechRevieweryep, and it does not seem to happen to MK. Like I could be typing or using a shortcut with my left hand while till moving around with my right on the trackpad. For Rebound, the trackpad would not be active/responsive, not sure if it is related to bluetooth vs direct connection?
Interesting. I tested that out and found the same result as you. I think what you are experiencing may be related to ESR designing the trackpad to not accept inputs while the keyboard is in use to eliminate issues with palm rejection. Just a guess, though!
Ok, I’ve tried it a few times since your comment, and in my view, with the 11 inch size, there is a small amount of wobble when you touch the iPad Pro screen when it is positioned in a more reclined angle, but I don’t really see any when the iPad is more upright…
I really wanted to compare those two. Thanks! I need to protect the iPad at the outdoor site and need to use it in flattened form. ESR may allow those usages. But I am not sure if ESR track pad gives same multiple touch functions smoothly like apple does?
Yeah, I hear you! But another viewer told me that ESR’s Ascend Keyboard case for the iPad Pro 11 inch 2024 has a dedicated function key row. I will hopefully be reviewing the Ascend soon, so stay tuned!!
I’m not reviewing products for the 13 inch, just the 11 inch, but I will hopefully be reviewing the ESR Ascend for the 11 inch 2024 iPad Pro soon. Stay tuned!
Thank you for the review as always. I think a review of the Logitech combo keyboard would be excellent as well. One of the only devices outside of the Magic Keyboard that Apple has certified to use pass through charging.
I hear you. Larger, heavier, requires charging and connects via BlueTooth. But for the price difference, I think many people will be able to forgive these deficiencies!!
Yeah…but this year’s version is supposed to be quite a bit lighter. Supposedly Logitech is sending me out a review sample, so I will hopefully get to review it pretty soon!
So, with the previous version of the ESR Rebound 360, the one for the iPad Pro 2022 11 inch, you could use your iPad Pro without the inner case to a certain extent. I’m getting the Magic Keyboard for my m4 pro cuz I’m careful with my stuff my nephew is getting the esr for his m2 iPad Air cuz he has a two year old brother 😂
Hey I wanted to ask is battery life better with the esr since even with the backlights it has its own battery? And also, since the esr is thicker does it protect better the iPad in a backpack compared to the Magic Keyboard? And also, is the trackpad as smooth and responsive with gestured as the Magic Keyboard although it’s Bluetooth? Does the Bluetooth connect automatically? Thank you I appreciate it sorry for so many questions great vid!
Hi! Once you pair the ESR Rebound 360 Keyboard case with bluetooth to your iPad Pro, it will remember the connection and automatically connect the next time. It works well. As far as battery life for your iPad Pro, the ESR Rebound 360 isn't drawing on the iPad's power when it is being used, so it theoretically should make the iPad Pro's charge last longer. I haven't tested that out, however. And I think you are going to get better protection in a backpack with the ESR keyboard case as compared with the Apple Magic Keyboard because you have protection on the sides of your iPad Pro due to the inner case. Plus, you have a strap to keep it closed...something the Magic Keyboard lacks. And the trackpad on the ESR keyboard case seems very similar to the one on the Magic Keyboard, and it does support multi touch gestures. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching!!
@@TheTechReviewer I ordered one and it should be here Monday. I currently have the M2 11” Pro but upgraded because of the Oled. But here in Toronto the M4 flew off the shelves. People lined up for it over night. But I like the way you explain and present your products during your reviews. I find you go a lot more deep in depth than other channels. I may grab the Magic Keyboard too. :)
@Scott-cy6zv How funny…I also have the 2022 M2 iPad Pro 11 inch…I upgraded for the same reason…the new iPad Pro models just looked too good to pass up! Did you go Space Black or Silver?
@@TheTechReviewer I also did the space black also. I’m gonna get a back skin for my pro controller f I go Magic Keyboard so the back don’t get scuffed up.
The black version is really attractive! I had ordered the silver for in store pickup and when I saw the space black version in store, I was tempted to switch! It's a great looking product. When are the new iPads going to be available for purchase in South Korea?
@Razdorsky You make some excellent points…the Magic Keyboard is an outstanding companion for the iPad Pro. But not everyone’s budget will be sufficient for that extra expense…especially on top of the cost of the iPad Pro itself. And I don’t think the ESR Rebound 360 falls into the category of ‘third party junk’ by any means, and as I mentioned, it does allow you to do some stuff that the Magic Keyboard will not. 😊
@Ciangi87, the ESR Ascend Keyboard Case for the iPad Pro 2024 11 inch has a function key row. I just got my review sample from ESR and the keyboard case has many good things about it. I think the Rebound 360 is still a better product, though. Stay tuned for an Ascend review coming up soon!
Hi Alex! I've heard good things about the Logitech Combo Touch Case, for sure. I hope to review it in future. Of course, it is twice the price of this ESR keyboard case...
Anyone else noticed a loud buzzing from iPad when they’re using this case to scroll?! I tried to zoom to set a new Wallpaper and the buzzing was so weird. I took the cover off and that buzzing went away. ???
Bought another one thinking I’d got a faulty unit initially however, the same thing happened. I can’t imagine it’s a problem with my iPad which is only one week old
Hi @CASTET777! Totally get your point. The Magic Keyboard is a fantastic product...super lightweight, great magnets, no need to charge or pair. I love mine! But it is very expensive and perhaps a bit out of some people's budgets after they have paid the big bucks to get the iPad Pro M4. So I think the ESR Rebound 360 is an option to consider. Plus, you do get additional protection for your iPad Pro with the Rebound 360 due to the inner case, and you also get the option for a few different iPad orientations. Thanks so much for watching, and have a great weekend!
You mean can the iPad be magnetically attached to the Rebound 360 Keyboard Case without using the inner case? Unfortunately, no. The previous generation for the 2022 iPad Pro M2 used to be able to do that (albeit with fewer positions and reduced magnetic strength), but this year's version can't.
That’s an excellent point!!
I went with the ESR case! For my usage, it is definitely the more sensible purchase. I love the fact that there are multiple attachment heights for the iPad and the ability to turn it to portrait mode is a huge plus. The typing experience is very good as well.
Thank you. Your review made this a no-brainer for me and I just ordered it.
Glad I could help! Hope you love it!!😍
I am getting the esr case. I love that it has extra protection. And the price point is amazing
Hi Tiff! It is certainly priced right! For me, the extra weight and the fact you have to charge it are the only real downsides. I think it is a very good product!
@@TheTechRevieweryeah but at the same time It doesn’t drain battery as much
A valid point!!
Looking forward to a Magic Keyboard compatible case as well
Adds more cost though, to an already expensive item
ESR > Apple. ESR doesn’t wobble when you touch it either. Apples keyboard has a ridiculous amount of wobble when you touch it.
What about the track pad? Does ESR work for multi touch well as apple?
@@enoch_likeit the track pad is definitely smaller on the Rebound. This wasn’t important to me because I use a mouse. Apples trackpad is nicer but not worth the higher price tag in my opinion.
I would check out the ESR Ascend keyboard if the trackpad is important to you. The trackpad is larger on that version but has less features than the Rebound.
Thank you for your video regarding the keyboard for the iPad. I appreciate your prompt response and assistance.
I wanted to share my thoughts on the keyboard. While it is quite nice in many respects, I have encountered a few issues that I believe are worth mentioning:
Does the ESR iPad case rotate a full 360 degrees? And if possible, could you provide a video demonstration?
Thank you so much! Appreciate the kind comments and the sub.😊 It’s a really good keyboard case for the M4 iPad Pro…hope you love it!!
Again, though…it won’t be magnetically secured in any way to the Shift case…it would just be leaning up against it.
very well explained we bought and ordered the esr for our ipad pro m4,thanks a lot!
Outstanding!! Hope you love it! I think the Rebound 360 is a solid product. 😊
Just wondering if the air one will fit the iPad 10th gen? I love the 360 design but they don’t have a designated one for the 10th gen 😢
I just bought the ESR case for the 13 inch Ipad pro M4 model. This version has the function row keys as well, like the one from Apple.
How the F ESR only has this design? Am looking for a detachable case with this kind of stable stand, and apparently they are the only brand who did it
Thank you for an excellent review.
And if Apple had updated that exterior material it would have been even better…maybe they are waiting to come out with the ‘Magic Keyboard Pro’🤣
Have a fantastic weekend!!!
So sorry!!
I have the ESR Smart Folio style case for the M4 and the Apple Magic Keyboard for when I use it as a laptop. The best of both worlds imo.
Cool! Is that the ESR Rebound Hybrid 360 case? This one? www.esrgear.com/products/ipad-pro-11-2024-rebound-hybrid-case-360/
I'm hoping to review that one soon...
@@TheTechReviewer no. Just the regular magnetic rebound case. I don’t like having a hard case around my iPads.
@gtrscort1 This one? www.esrgear.com/products/ipad-pro-11-2024-rebound-magnetic-case/
@@TheTechReviewer That’s the one! Perfect for when I don’t want to use the keyboard.
@gtrscort1 Nice! Thanks for sharing. I’ll have to try to check that out 😊
What are those little bumpers on the palm rests made of? I have a Brydge keyboard now and they are rubber. I like how the keyboard doesn’t touch the iPad with that tiny protection.
They are rubber on the Rebound 360 as well. And they do the same thing: keep your iPad Pro screen from touching the keys. It works well.
Too bad about Brydge…they went out of business, right?
Be careful if you also buy a magnetic stand or other magnetic cases. The ESR magnetic case is not compatible. Very frustrating.
Yeah…I guess you can’t have everything! Definitely some compromises there, but a solid product…especially for the price!!
I'd love to know more about the typing experience. What does the key quality of the ESR case feel like when using during text input?
Keys are responsive and slightly clicky. Very similar to those on the Magic Keyboard. 😊
FINE REVIEW! THANKS.
Thank you! And thanks for watching!!
excellent unbiased review
Thank you!!!
thank you , must needed info.
Happy to help! So glad you found the video to be useful!😊
Enjoy!!
Thanks dear for that graet products' reviews..
Thanks, @gokwolf! Lovely to hear from you as usual! Have a wonderful weekend…hope it is pleasant spring weather where you are. 🤗
Great info ❤. Is there a keyboard case for 13 inch iPads? Thanks So Much 🙏 Dear . ❤❤❤
Yes indeed! I haven't reviewed it, because I only have the 11 iPad Pro 2024 (M4), but I imagine the 13 inch version is going to be almost the same. From what I understand, it has one upgrade that the 11 inch version doesn't have: a function key row! So that's great. Here's an affiliate link to the product on Amazon: amzn.to/4bM2tGC
Thanks for watching, and have a great day!

I wish they cut out the speaker holes individually like for the mini 6th gen
Agreed…Individual speaker holes would be a nice touch
Can you use the esr case without the thin case that it comes with ?
Not for the 2024 version. You could do that with the 2022 version, but not with this one.
I have one question, does that ESR one works with iPad Pro 2022 model 11 inch?
The Ascend model for 11” Pro does have a function key row.
Great to hear!! I will try to get a review unit of that model! 😊
Of course,no elevated mode with the Ascend…but still looks like a great option!
Thanks for the video. Whats the weight difference?
It is considerable. I don't have the proper scale to weigh the two different keyboard cases myself, but the figures I see online say that the Apple Magic Keyboard for the 11 inch iPad Pro 2024 is 580 grams, and the ESR Rebound 360 Keyboard Case for the 2024 iPad Pro 11 inch is 850 grams
Is there a big gap between esr's touchpad and magic keyboard?
I think the two are pretty similar, actually. The areas where the Magic Keyboard is going to clearly win out are weight and thickness (and of course not having to be charged)...but in most other areas, the amount of difference between the two is pretty small...
Can the Rebound be used on your lap when sitting on a sofa like you do with a laptop? (with the keyboard attached)
Absolutely. Just like the Magic Keyboard, the ESR Rebound 360 Keyboard Case feels like a small laptop. Great for lap use or to prop up on your stomach when watching movies in bed.😊
Does the iPad attach magnetically without the case (for ESR)
For the version for the 2022 iPad Pro (M2) ESR Rebound 360, you could attach the iPad Pro to the keyboard case without the inner case, but just in landscape…no elevated landscape or portrait options. However, for the 2024 iPad Pro (M4) version of this ESR Rebound 360 case, you are required to use it with the inner case. It won’t work with a naked iPad at all
Beautifully articulated review, thank you . Just ordered for my 2024 iPad Pro 11".
Thank you so much!! Hope you love it!!
I think the magnets are positioned in a very special way…
Awesome review! You just helped me decide with this video review 😊
So great to hear, Mustafa! Hope you love it!! Have you received your new iPad Pro yet?
How does the typing with the keyboard happen without the pin connection?
Good question! You need to pair your iPad with the keyboard using Bluetooth. 😊
Can you use the ESR keyboard without the magnet case? Like will the iPad still stick without the extra case?
Weight difference between the 2 when the iPad is placed?
According to info I see online (unfortunately I don't have the proper scale to weigh the two different keyboard cases myself), the Apple Magic Keyboard for the 11 inch iPad Pro 2024 is 580 grams, and the ESR Rebound 360 Keyboard Case for the 2024 iPad Pro 11 inch is 850 grams. So the weight difference is 270 grams...
Can u review keyboard for 13 inch iPad Pro
Unfortunately, I don't have the 13 inch version of the iPad Pro, so I can't 😢
Might of missed this, but are they the same thickness? Was looking at a sleeve that makes room for the magic keyboard.
Hi! The Rebound 360 is thicker than the Magic Keyboard, as well as heavier...
@@TheTechReviewer thanks!
Happy to help!!
i was wondering if you could let me know if the "inner case" has additional embedded magnets that also allows it to adhere to metal surfaces when it is away from the keyboard "dock".
@@TheTechReviewer your response to my question is what i hope EVERY answer to a question would look like. Thank you for taking the time to answer mine
@VirUzxZ Blushing now!! Happy to help!! 😊
Thanks to you. I am buying the ESR keyboard case for much better protection than apples magic keyboard and with the money I save. I will get a new apple watch. I am a picky person so for me to go with ESR instead of Apple’s keyboard. Says alot. Thanks again.
Thanks for review! Is the ESR internal case compatible with the ESR Shift?
Unfortunately, no. In my experience thus far, none of the ESR case modules are able to be mix and matched with other case modules. The magnets are in different configurations, I think.
@@TheTechReviewer Thanks! Would have bought the Shift as well…
I hear you! It's very frustrating. I'm sure ESR would make them mutually compatible if they could, because it would be another selling point. It must just not be possible given the configuration of the magnets.
Is it bluetooth can you? work with the ipad remotely ESR Rebound 360 Keyboard Case
Yes, it pairs to your iPad Pro using Bluetooth 😊
@@stanjs why i cant see another review for this case
Hello, how much does each one weigh? an important piece of information for mobility, greetings and thank you
Hi Alejandro! Will this work on the M1 iPad Pro 2020?
Not this version, but ESR has a version which is compatible (at least according to the info on ESR's site and on Amazon): amzn.to/3V1ziZu (affiliate)
Do you ever fine on the ESR that when clicking on an app/icon, it doesn’t always open it and it’s a bit unreliable?
Very occasionally, but usually it works quite well. I think sometimes I’m just not clicking on it right…
@@TheTechReviewer thanks, do you think the Apple keyboard is more responses and reliable when you click and move on the trackpad?

I am not a fan of Bluetooth keyboards. I will use Coverbuddy with my 13 inch iPad for protection (launching soon).

@jingseow so, you mean that the trackpad becomes briefly unresponsive when the keyboard is being used?
@@TheTechRevieweryep, and it does not seem to happen to MK. Like I could be typing or using a shortcut with my left hand while till moving around with my right on the trackpad. For Rebound, the trackpad would not be active/responsive, not sure if it is related to bluetooth vs direct connection?
Interesting. I tested that out and found the same result as you. I think what you are experiencing may be related to ESR designing the trackpad to not accept inputs while the keyboard is in use to eliminate issues with palm rejection. Just a guess, though!
You didn’t demo the wobbly Magic Keyboard when touching the iPad even lightly!
Wobbly? I haven’t noticed the Magic Keyboard being particularly wobbly…
@@TheTechReviewer you will
Ok, I’ve tried it a few times since your comment, and in my view, with the 11 inch size, there is a small amount of wobble when you touch the iPad Pro screen when it is positioned in a more reclined angle, but I don’t really see any when the iPad is more upright…
I really wanted to compare those two. Thanks!
I need to protect the iPad at the outdoor site and need to use it in flattened form. ESR may allow those usages.
But I am not sure if ESR track pad gives same multiple touch functions smoothly like apple does?
Hi Enoch! To me, the two trackpads seem very similar. Maybe the Apple one is a tiny bit better? But not 3x the price better 🤣
Almost a perfect option but a big miss is not having function keys…
Yeah, I hear you! But another viewer told me that ESR’s Ascend Keyboard case for the iPad Pro 11 inch 2024 has a dedicated function key row. I will hopefully be reviewing the Ascend soon, so stay tuned!!
Do you have a video on the ESR iPad Pro 13” (2024) Ascend Keyboard Case?
I’m not reviewing products for the 13 inch, just the 11 inch, but I will hopefully be reviewing the ESR Ascend for the 11 inch 2024 iPad Pro soon. Stay tuned!
Awesome review! Please review the Ascend keyboard for the M4 iPad Pro?
Thanks so much!! Appreciate the support! The Ascend Keyboard Case also looks cool…I’ll have to see if I can review that one too😊
Thank you for the review as always. I think a review of the Logitech combo keyboard would be excellent as well. One of the only devices outside of the Magic Keyboard that Apple has certified to use pass through charging.
@kaiichinose9590 I know…it sounds like a great product. Hopefully I will be able to get ahold of a review sample 🤞
I own it and it’s ok but it’s not the same as the Magic Keyboard sadly
I hear you. Larger, heavier, requires charging and connects via BlueTooth. But for the price difference, I think many people will be able to forgive these deficiencies!!
brilliant review.
Thanks!! I'm blushing now ☺️. Are you getting the new iPad Pro?
@@TheTechReviewer got the new iPad Air M2 yesterday. And decided to get this brilliant keyboard following your review.
@rustyspoonzzz Thanks!! Hope you love it!!! And enjoy your new iPad Air!!
@@rustyspoonzzzhow do you find it bro? Is there lag with Bluetooth or with gesture?
@@gamingvariation1323 it’s amazing. Zero lag. Really impressed with it.
I wish the inside case had a kickstand of its own.
The Logitech Combo Touch has that feature. But...pretty pricey!!🤣
@@TheTechReviewer And heavy and not magnetic. 😩
Yeah…but this year’s version is supposed to be quite a bit lighter. Supposedly Logitech is sending me out a review sample, so I will hopefully get to review it pretty soon!
@@TheTechReviewer Ah, interesting. That's propably only for M4 though I guess?!
I believe so…
Can I use the ESR keyboard without its backc case? Was thinking of just using a naked iPad. Thanks
I’m getting the Magic Keyboard for my m4 pro cuz I’m careful with my stuff my nephew is getting the esr for his m2 iPad Air cuz he has a two year old brother 😂
Your logic makes sense, for sure. Enjoy!!
@@TheTechReviewerthank you for your in depth answer, you earned a sub!
@gamingvariation1323 thank you!!!🙏
Just subbed, great video
Thanks, Scott! Really appreciate it!! Did you get the new 2024 iPad Pro?
@Scott-cy6zv And thanks for your kind comments 😊
@@TheTechReviewer I also did the space black also. I’m gonna get a back skin for my pro controller f I go Magic Keyboard so the back don’t get scuffed up.
ESR looks better for me. 3 merits: price, pencil holder, side covering
Hi Kim! Yep...those are three important advantages for sure!! Did you get the new iPad Pro? If so, which color?
@@TheTechReviewer Wow!! i got reply from youtuber! so honored! In Korea, the new ipad hasn't been released yet. I already decided to pick black one :)
I would’ve bought it if that had a function row
I hear you…I wonder if ESR will update the 11 inch version to have a function row as the 13 inch Rebound 360 case has one…
@@TheTechReviewer I really hope so because I do not want to spend $300 on the new apple keyboard!
@Ciangi87 Well, hopefully ESR is listening!!😊🤞
@@TheTechReviewer I hope they are lol
@Ciangi87, the ESR Ascend Keyboard Case for the iPad Pro 2024 11 inch has a function key row. I just got my review sample from ESR and the keyboard case has many good things about it. I think the Rebound 360 is still a better product, though. Stay tuned for an Ascend review coming up soon!
LOGITECH for the win!
Weird!! That’s not happened to me…
Bought another one thinking I’d got a faulty unit initially however, the same thing happened. I can’t imagine it’s a problem with my iPad which is only one week old
@nashk1135 That’s really strange! Have you reached out to ESR regarding this issue?
Magic Keyboard wins because it is does not have battery and you don't need to worry to charge two devices. Peace
I am happy to charge for about 200 bills less
@shalnmunk I hear you!🤣🤣
Can you please donate me any of your old ipads😢?
Sorry, no 😢
@@TheTechReviewer 🥶
@@aryansindhu9773hahahaahahahahaah 😂
Would it be able to be used for an iPad Pro gen 4?
No, but there is a version specifically for that model…
Can the keyboard be attached to the ESR without a case?
You mean can the iPad be magnetically attached to the Rebound 360 Keyboard Case without using the inner case? Unfortunately, no. The previous generation for the 2022 iPad Pro M2 used to be able to do that (albeit with fewer positions and reduced magnetic strength), but this year's version can't.
@@TheTechReviewer Mh okay, thank you 🙏🏼
Sorry!!
