      @@MrV2u is there a way it may leak to the transmission on a grand cherokee laredo 4.7l v8 2007? The water pump

    • @MrV2u
      @MrV2u  3 роки тому +1

      @@general14hayabusa anything that leaks; coolant, oil, or tranny fluid can travel all over the place as you drive. The water pump will drip down and as you drive, the coolant will flow all the way down and back. Look under your water pump and check the bottom of it and you will see a weep hole and it will be wet brother if it’s bad or going bad.

      Being that it’s wet your going to need to replace that heater core brother. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that job is no joke and involves removing the entire dashboard. You won’t have heat soon if it didn’t go away yet. But if you want you can go under the hood find the two heater core lines going into the firewall. It will be on the passenger side remove the lines and join them together with a pipe and you can drive it like that without loosing coolant You just won’t have any heat whatsoever. Congrats on the purchase. Signs of a failing water pump: dripping/weeping under the pump at the weep hole, grinding noise coming from it, play in the pulley such as wobble or rocking it back and forth. As far as the evic system it could be a number of things. Do you have any check engine lights? I found a webpage that talks about the evic system.

      I cannot get the bleeder valve off.

      Hit it with some pb blaster or wd40. Use a larger ratchet it will come loose. Worse case scenario is a little bit of heat.

    Well the 4.7 has a fan clutch on it. Need to remove the fan clutch first. NOT EASY!

      @MrV2u  5 років тому

      It’s not easy unless you have a air hammer with a wrench attachment to shock it loose.

      The fan clutch isnt tht bad to take off, it's just having the proper tools, I just took mine off today with a fan clutch wrench and wrench pulley holder to have the torque to turn it

      Mighty Mike you are correct sir. If you have the proper tools it’s not bad.

      That’s what happens when the rubber meets the off road lol. I took it off roasting in Pennsylvania. Had a awesome time, but the engine bay would never be the same again lol.
