The fact that their tow driver wasn't present AND they were very shady about why he wasn't there (never actually giving an answer), makes me think he may have been in jail which would have CRUSHED their defense. Surprised the judge didn't get a definitive answer from them

@@asiyah7714 bank note at the very least to say "hey, I pulled this money out" and then something to prove why she pulled that money out. "was gonna pay my sister" or something.
Then it'll come to was it a priority over paying your car payment. "I'm not paying my car payment to buy my nephew a present" doesn't make sense, so they'd think you're lying about the money being in there or at least punish you for irresponsible spending. When I was in my early 20s I lived across the street from a laundry mat where I dropped off my laundry every week to get done. One day, I took out $400 to give to my roommate for my share of the rent. I went home that night after stopping at the bank, gathered my clothes and took off what I had on, then dropped my laundry off. The next day I pick it up in the morning and that night my roommate asks me for the rent money. I then realized I never took it out of the pants I was wearing and it went into the laundry I dropped off. I tore the bag opened and found the pants but the money was gone. I went to the laundry mat and asked if they found it and of course they said no. I had no other way to prove otherwise so I was out $400. Sometimes, we as humans are careless and we get stuck in shitty scenarios. I believe they took the money cause they knew she couldn't prove it, but I would've cut my losses and moved on. It sucks but I know when I'm fighting an uphill battle in a downstream world.
