Section 8 is when the Government pays a large portion of your rent because you're poor. This woman does NOT look very poor to me. Her teeth are in perfect order, she's wearing nice jewelry, dressed nicely and talks about her expensive flower garden, etc....She must be working the system.
The tape of this episode needs to be submitted to the housing department for Section 8 in her city. Section 8 (taxpayers) is getting screwed and the landlord is an accomplice to her scam.
I'd rather that the government spend its tax auditing resources on going after wealthy tax cheaters who we can get tens of billions from. *That* is return on investment
I worked in a low end and also high end furniture store for years. Her dresser is a $20 Craigslist piece of junk. She is a Karen. I feel sorry for this proprty owner as she will cost him loads of cash in the future. She's the type that will play her minority card at any possible opportunity so that she can screw others over. One HUGE red flag for me was when she was estimating the value of her time at $46 per houre (if I heard correctly) but she's on section 8 housing. Come on man! Let's go Brandon!
I'm 48 and I still use my dresser that my parents gave me when I was 7. It was unfinished so my dad put a coat of finish on it when we trucked it home in our Pinto. It still looks great. If someone damaged it I'd be a little angry. But I know it's worth around $20.
I'm amazed on how the plaintiff was able to fool the people's court. She's clearly someone who has a habit of showing off through the court system that she's this or that but what I saw in the picture of the furniture and damage to it, it was so minimal and it's a cheap dresser. And if she knew of the leak, why didn't she relocate the furniture? At least until it's fixed. She should be thankful of the treatment she got from the management because I would have kicked her out by December because, like they both agreed, it was fixed in May, then leaked again by November yet she left the furniture there. It's a sign enough that she doesn't have good intentions at heart with all the claims she's trying to get, like harassment, for what? Hours for looking for a place, really? She's not even evicted. Everything about the woman is just suspect.

@@jennross6466 " gone" in this context is dialect or slang just like " gonna". They both mean :going to. Not sure if the two are used in different areas as dialect or if "gone" is a development slang of "gonna" over the decades- or perhaps both in different contexts... but it sounds good.

Go look a life.

Her hair is wound too tight.
Landlord is incredibly kind and forgiving to such a needy and mentally troubled tenant. Guy's even willing to continue to renew her lease after being sued for nonsense multiple times. I wonder if she knows how lucky she is.
Yes she's very lucky
She doesn't care. It's all about her.
How can you be on section 8 but afford a pot that's 900.00?!
Because she's either lying about the value of the pot or she's scamming your system. Either way she is dishonest.
She owns $400 "garden spaces", a $6,000 "antique dresser", she goes off on vacations.....yet she's on section 8?? Someone needs to send this tape to congress.
Exactly
Don’t forget she says she works and earns $30.00 an hour!! How is she on Section 8!?!?!? And how is the judge buying this!?!? She has lost her mind as well!!!!
It’s totally okay that I bilked the poor landlord out of $500! I’ll just find something else to sue him for!!! All with a bright cheery bouncy smile. If I were that landlord I would first report her to the Section 8 people for her fraud and then I would kick her suing a$$ to the curb so fast her head would spin!!! I felt so sorry for the landlord. Poor guy looked so tired and defeated!!
She keeps trynna increase her winnings by making answers up as she goes!
She had documents and facts for her complaints. Judge didn't want to hear it. Kept cutting her off. The leak wasn't fixed completely from the first incident and created more damage. That's why they changed her unit. Landlord's don't like to spend money on repairs.

Am I the only one that she is on subsidized rent and she sued for loss of income at $30-something an hr?!?
No, but I think most of us are educated enough to realize that if she lives in a major city, that’s still below the poverty line.
@@ct6410 lol $30/hr is in the neighborhood of $62k a year. What city is that below the poverty line? Exactly how educated are you? Exactly when the judge said that store was a discount furniture I gasped. The plaintiff was definitely reaching 🤣
Good comment. Just because " I been havin it since I was a child" doesn't mean it's worth anything.
When she said antique dresser for 6.000 dollars, I was thinking 17th century handcrafted oak dresser from Buckingham Palace... Quite the disappointment.
How in the hell do you want money for loss time and wages when you are on section 8.... lol... self snitching
There's a reason why even with being so difficult the landlord don't want to evict her. She's not the only one relying on a gov't check.
Man, I didn't even think of that & I'm a landlord... you're right!!!
Can we say renters insurance for your personal property??
Great idea. He should add that to the rental requirement.
Seriously doubt she would be willing to shell out the extra dough for it.
Having worked in multifamily housing the past 25 years, around 80% of the housing communities are requiring proof of renters insurance with a minimum liability amount . It actually lowers the landlord insurance costs when all the residents carry renters insurance . No renters insurance. No lease.
The plaintiff is so nice and sweet at beginning..then when she does not get her way her whole face and body language change's...Fraud

But he could get another tenant in a heartbeat
An entire four bedroom house could have been furnished for $6000 from Levitz.

Section 8 is when the Government pays a large portion of your rent because you're poor. This woman does NOT look very poor to me. Her teeth are in perfect order, she's wearing nice jewelry, dressed nicely and talks about her expensive flower garden, etc....She must be working the system.
Yeah, imagine being a child whose parents can afford to get you braces and then having nice teeth. She's clearly lying.
You can be poor and have good teeth th
On section 8 but has $900 pot for a plant & 3k bed 😂🤦🏼♀️
What an exhausting plaintiff... someone could scuff her shoe by accident and I bet she’d sue -claiming they’re vintage Payless 🤦🏽♂️
I'm 48 and I still use my dresser that my parents gave me when I was 7. It was unfinished so my dad put a coat of finish on it when we trucked it home in our Pinto. It still looks great. If someone damaged it I'd be a little angry. But I know it's worth around $20.
Yes judge she is so hard to deal wid😤😤
I would of given her whatever amount it took for her to bounce!! I could not deal with her as a tenant!!
Antique is 100 years or better in furniture hahaha girl that thing is ✨ vintage ✨
Doug is my dude! He’s cold as an original jolly rancher. 😂
What is wrong with her!
Also, why wont he get rid of her? Is it the steady section 8 money? She'd be out of my property! Out, I tell you!
It's always about the money. He's enjoying the regular on time monthly rent each month.
11:36 - I like the reaction of the young folks in the gallery behind the plaintiff when she says, 'yes, there's more.' They are learning how not to do life.
