This music sounds like it came from a Zelda game or something that takes place in the medieval times. Now I want to see a Contra game that takes place in the medieval ages, and maybe instead of using guns, they would use crossbows or something.
Only critique I got, is that when the drums hit or louder sounds try and play, it gets compressed (overall volume gets lowered.) See if there is a way to turn that off so it doesn't try to lower the overall volume or maybe UA-cam itself compressed the audio down. Can you upload an MP3 of this somewhere? :) Full 320 KBPS please.
hey man, thanks! Im glad that you like my shitty remix! :P i shit remixed this song a few years ago and i don't remember how i mixed it exactly, but i do remember that i had over 15 tracks for this one in audacity and was heavily MIDI edited and mixed with various sounds banks including original snes sounds. I might revisit this song and release it again in the future as i find it sounds outdated today.
@@redbahamut It is great! Perfect instrument selection and everything. Mainly was the fact that when it really wants to rock out, the volume gets dropped down, like as if there was an auto compressor on or it wouldn't let it get loud. Revisit it. Probably the best remix of it I have heard. :)
Hey there, yeah it was on purpose, i wanted it to sound heavy brass. but to be honest, I was using older sound banks and it sounds a bit aged now. I will maybe do a revision of this one later. thanks for the comment!
Aliens and Predator! ❤
This theme is easily the most epic of the entire Contra series, it's weird it has so few remixes and remakes.
Nice take on it.
0:21 is godly

What program did you use to extract the midis?
SPC2MIDI
This song loses the terrifying style of the original... Not bad though...

I like this version. Is not terrifing but sounds more orchestral.
